This place is so cool! Lots of old time pin ball machines and button-mashing video games, a long with a few modern ones. All games are anywhere from 25-50 cents per play, and you can buy quarters with a card if you don't bring cash. I'm not a gamer but I had a great time with friends here! Only reason I gave 4 stars is because their liquor drinks are expensive, $16 for a double 😵 compared to the beers that were $2.50, but I would go again!

That glow up though. The new spot reveals a very club/cruiseship like essence where you're greeted with the doorman and bar and then opens up to the game floor. Their selection of old school vs. new school games is unparalleled. Parking is pretty easy with lots next door and a lot across the street. Stop in and lose yourself in the symphony of great games and good times.

This is actually a new location after the original Abari location closed. ( Naming the place Super abari is the best thing ever). As a result a lot of old reviews incorrectly got ported over. I once said Paranoia Pinball was the only correct spot in Charlotte to play pinball (and is still my preference), but this place is now up there as well. Walking down the stairs and seeing the old tvs playing 80s scenes and hearing and seeing all the games was definitely a portal into the past. There was parking at the building and overflow parking across the street, as Saturday evening was ramping up people were playing Tetris to park. The crowd felt more "Instagram" than "Basement dweller" but that might change as the newness of the place wears off. Plenty of .50 cent pinball. They actually had a pinball tournament going on. The grand champion scores on machines attest that the machines have been played by serious players. Bar served drinks and food, not too impressed with the draft beer selection or the size of the bar, but it was tolerable. Overall it was a good experience and I'm happy to see more pinball in Charlotte. Edit: Another thing I forgot to mention is that this place is open all the time, even on most holidays it seems, up until 2 am! It's nice to finally have a retrocade that is open on the "slower" days, when everywhere else is closed. I stayed until close on Sunday and I noticed the staff were taking the time to clean the pinball glass, which was a nice attention to detail. Staff have always been very friendly.

Fun and very unique (for CLT, anyway) place for adults and kids alike, even if it seems like a secret supper club based on the strange website and complete inability to contact them by phone. Huge selection of old school video games and the biggest selection of pinball I have ever seen. Be careful because you can burn through a lot of cash very quickly. I went with my two kiddos, ages 9 and 2.5. The 9 year old loved it. The place was definitely not geared for toddlers, but we made do (he enjoyed putting the quarters into the slots more the than games themselves). Note to parents: I *think* kids are only allowed between 12-5pm on weekends, although I’m not sure. That’s why I was trying to call them to verify, but…secret society (see above).

This is the best arcade here. This is an actual OG video game arcade. The prices are reasonable, they have a change machine and some games are free play. They have classics you’d recognize. Ninja Turtles?! Sold. Lots of Pinball, and a giant gameboy with Tetris (which my GF absolutely cooked me in). The drinks are cheap and get the job done. They have specials during the week. Most importantly - the games actually work! The other “arcade” places in Charlotte are just janky, drinks are overpriced and the cabinets are always broken. Check this place out even if you’re not a huge gaming fan.

Wonderful arcade bar. I've visited numerous arcades in Las Vegas, Asheville, Chicago and Atlanta, this place is top notch. Lots of classic arcade, shooting, and music games. 37 pinball machines in good condition including Indiana Jones, Halloween, Willy Wonka, Creature from the Black Lagoon and Stranger Things. While I was there (on a Saturday night) not a single pinball machine was out of service. The place is open till 2am like a true bar, and offers liquor in addition to beer and nonalcoholic beverages. Reasonable drink prices, particularly for canned drinks. Super Abari is almost exclusively 21+ with the exception of noon to 5pm on Saturday and Sunday. They have a nice fenced-in patio outside for smoking and taking a break outdoors. No cover fee, just coin op, 50 Cents a game. No real food but a nice vending machine inside for a mild snack. Friendly and courteous staff. Customers there seem relaxed, chill and respectful. This place is hosting the 2023 NC State Pinball Championship and it shows. If you're interested in an arcade bar or just a bar to play games at, this place is gold. Highly recommend.

Was pretty cool earlier in the evening. Lots of games for great prices and a good selection of drinks. Later in evening it got really crowded and with all the games being so close together, it was hard to play certain games without being elbow to elbow with someone. Docking some stars because 1) they charge you extra $$ for getting quarters from the bar (at least let customers know about the $2 fee when they order), and 2) they don't allow you to pay your tab with any leftover quarters you have.

Not sure how it is in the evening or late night but early afternoon on a Saturday saw a decent crowd, families with kids even. Had plenty of space while I occupied one of the SF3 Cabinets...definitely glad to see this place reopened. Absolutely the best in class. Looking forward to an Initial D Cab and hopefully maybe even establish some Tournaments !!

So glad I stopped!! Extremely nice host and bartender and very reasonable prices for games and drinks. They even have free play! Such a unique blend of game choices from pinball to shooting games that are not even in American. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! great for kid dates regular dates and everything in between !

Great pinball! Could be better lighting on a number of machines, since some were too dark to see. No gender-neutral bathrooms, which makes it not the safest space for non-binary people. (Apparently you have to ask staff to use a special restroom 😪) Otherwise, the vibe is great! 50¢ pinball! Halloween was well-lit and my favorite play of the night

Great place for any occasion, especially date night. Many retro arcades and pinball games and lots of drink choices. When it comes to food, they invite local food trucks and are within ordering distance of delivery apps. Whether you live in Charlotte or just passing through, I highly recommend stopping for a drink and some retro gaming at Abari!

If you are into pinball you don't want to miss this spot. It is exactly what you want to find when going to a pinball bar. All of the pinball games I played were in working order. They had lots of classics and new games too. The selection of local beers made up for the lackluster cocktails.

Cool spot. Most of the games are pinball so be prepared for that! Great spot for a date night or a smaller group of friends. There was a Vietnamese food truck when I went. Loved their Thai tea

The atmosphere is always relaxed here. There are a ton of pinball machines and the prices are very reasonable. The bartenders are friendly and quick. There is a side patio toward the back left of the building with views of the city, too.

Super Abari is a very fun bar with a good selection of retro arcade games. There’s mostly pinball machines but plenty of other games to try out also. Large bar at the front of the building with a good selection of beer/liquor & service has always been quick and friendly. They have an outdoor space which while nothing special is good to take a break in between games. I would recommend this bar to anyone who is looking to go to a game bar, it’s the best one I’ve been to in Charlotte.

Great place with plenty of pinball machines to play, all in great condition. Good beer, but didn't have any cash, so had to 'buy' tokens with my credit card. Was surprised that a 5$ cup of tokens cost 5.50$!! OK, but it would have been nice to have known they charged for the service in advance!

👍 This was our first time at Caroline's Oyster bar and to be honest it underwhelmed. Now does this mean it was a horrible dining experience? Of course not. We gave it 4 stars! The Charlotte area is craving a good Oyster bar and sadly Caroline's has missed the mark. Will they do well? Yes, they will...
