Classic. Back in new better location. Great food. On this evening we sampled the menu ring steak, wings, and other items. They do such a nice job here.

I've been here in Charlotte for over 25 years and this is my first time in a Charbar No. 7 and I was not disappointed. I had the Leap Year Burger which has garlic aioli, bacon, lettuce, tomato, onion, a medium fried egg, and I substituted the American cheese for the jalapeño cream cheese from the Sweet Heat Burger. It was one of the best burgers that I've had in the Charlotte area. For my side, I got the shaved brussels, which were cooked perfectly with little pieces of bacon. I put some on my burger and it was 🔥. The pretzels were exactly what I hoped for, a little crispness on the outside, but soft on the inside. The honey mustard that came out with it was like a Dijon mustard and was very tasty. The cheese for dipping was good also. My date got the Black Bean Burger and kale slaw. The kale slaw wasn't great, but our server Melanie was very understanding and let her switch it out for a side of broccoli, which was much better. The atmosphere was very mellow, but I could see there being a more energetic crowd if there's a big sporting event because they have a full bar and lots of TVs. The bathroom was clean and well taken care of. For an appetizer, 2 meals, 1 dessert, 2 beers, and 2 mixed drinks the total was $93. While it might not be the cheapest place to get dinner, it was definitely worth it. The food was delicious and we were well fed.

Went for lunch with a friend. Nicholas was perfectly attentive and great! Food was good, and we will be back again!

Poor customer service. Poor food quality. Lots of drunk people. I went alone and was ignored. My food plate sat in front of me for 2 hours after I finished (I was at the bar). I waited 25 minutes for a coke...I was at the bar. My food was cold. Had a $15 hamburger that was equal to Cookout. Cold baked potato. Soggy tater tots. My bill was incorrect. I went to sit down and the Owner took my chair away...I had to go back to the wait area. I saw a paying customer looking for a meal turned away for not having a $40 show ticket. (Met him in the parking lot). If you live in the area and drink....this is the place! If you want to see a show, not so much. Also, insiders had reserved seating. Outsiders sat without view at the bar or stood up. I stood up by the bathrooms. ☹️ I really hoped to enjoy myself. I felt left out This was a $60 nite and a long ride from Catawba, SC. PS something is wrong with the soda fountain and the mix. It's off.

Definitely had so many amazing times at this restaurant. I’m definitely not going to stop coming back here. Although I don’t always go here to eat, everything about this place is amazing. The cleaning is incredible. Just go and witness it for yourself. Not just the outstanding cleanliness, but the amazing people who dedicated their time to make this busy restaurant feel better. I’m so grateful to have gone to this restaurant. Thank you everyone for your hospitality and unending dedication to try your best to make this restaurant better.

Enjoyed how they rested us quickly, had a number of different football teams/games on various TV’s. Both hamburgers were overdone as was the steak is another in the group. To their credit the restaurant made him another steak. 🥩 causing him to eat after everyone else was finished eating. So, good and not good. Having said that, I’ll go there again.

Always good service, consistent good food, nice wings, local beers and selection of whiskey and more. Try the steak CB7 style. Outside and inside seating in a local rustic setting. The breaded mushrooms and pickes are perfect. Burgers made to order and hand pattied. Place is clean and has a cool outdoor fireplace area too! Would recommend!

Good food, good vibes, good service, good drinks

Really liked the new location! The food and service were just like the old location, excellent! I had the Shrimp Po Boy and asked for kicked up tater tots (with Cayenne Pepper) and they delivered. Will definitely make sure to make at least one visit each time we visit Charlotte.

I went in for a late bite to eat and a drink. Great place ! The atmosphere and lighting are just right. Had an excellent server. I ordered fish and chips very good, but it just lacked a little flavor, throughout the other dishes as well. Overall a nice experience definitely will go back to try something else.

Stopped by this location for a quick drink after work and ended up having dinner. Excellent atmosphere! Cozy yet not crowded. I had the wings and then a steak, both of which were prepared exactly as requested. Drink selections were numerous and I can highly recommend for a quick drink or for dinnertime with the spouse or date.

Where do I start? The food was superb, the enviorment is to die for. The thing that topped it off was the immaculate waiter we were blessed with! Never have I ever been in the precense of such a efficent working machine like America. Not only did she cater to every thing we needed in a timely manner. She didn't mess up any order for our party of 7. She is all smiles and her aurora made the food even better! This was my first time at charbar but definitely won't be my last!

Our family enjoyed a quick bite at this restaurant. Sweet young lady by the name of America was our server. She was professional, friendly and very timely with our order and actually got it right! Thank you America and Char Bar for an awesome visit. We will be back soon!

Decent food. Very poor service. Our bottled drinks took 15-20 minutes. My water glass sat empty for as long. The appetizer never came. The fries were too salty. I asked for a rare burger and got medium-rare. It seems to be a pattern as we have experienced long wait times and order errors at this location before with take-out.

Wonderful food and service! I had the Blackened shrimp tacos and for a side I got shaved Brussel sprouts with bacon. The tacos were great, the Brussels sprouts were amazing, still had a nice crunch and the bacon put it over the top. Cody was are server and he was excellent as well. Plus Brooke at bar was top notch. Highly recommend!

This is our favorite family restaurant. Service is always excellent and friendly, the atmosphere is exactly what you want - you can bring your kids without feeling like you’re putting anyone out, but you still feel like you’re out at a nice restaurant. It’s lively and fun without feeling like a bar. It’s clean. And the food is consistent. It just doesn’t disappoint!

The spot is in our regular rotation. We go at least once a month. They have fabulous salad choices for my wife steak salmon burgers for me. I Great mixed drinks if you like those as well.

My boyfriend and I went Friday night for date night and had such a great time! We usually sit at the bar but, the weather was so nice, we decided to grab a table outside. Our server, Liz, was so sweet and accommodating. The food was tasty and the price point is reasonable. We will return again soon for another wonderful evening. Thanks Liz!!

Salmon salad looked amazing and my friend loved hers! I was less enamored with the appetizer nachos. They needed more real cheese, chicken or anything of substance. I left mostly a pile of dry chips on the plate. The wine selection was great and the pours were even better. To top it off, the chocolate martinis were crazy good and ice cold! Lots of TV's and games to choose from. Fun place! We will definitely be back.

The food and Staff are great! 3 for 3... I did a take out and the curbside folks were great, and to be all teenager's (it seemed) they had buy-in that we will serve with a smile. Also impressive was the manager Josie. Loved here attentiveness and attention given to making sure you had an awesome experience. I had some Wings she recommended and "OMG"! Had a burger and a cocktail(s) while listening to a live performance. This place is kid friendly, and I HIGHLY recommend it. Tell Josie Hi, and I bet she will thank you for coming. Carl

Pros: Diverse menu Delicious food Opportunities: Takeout portions are smaller (but not bad) Items missing from order I'll give it another try, because we enjoyed our meal, and the menu has something for everyone. They just need to train the take-out window staff a little bit. They were very polite, but the opportunity for them is to check the accuracy of the order before the customer picks it up (especially when you're being tipped) The outdoor seating is great, haven't dined inside yet.

Food/menu is solid. Bartenders are great. Lots of tvs and live music. Like the new location on Carmel.

Amazing what they did with the McAlister's deli space, nice job. Food and service was very good overall... My chicken sandwich was WAY overfilled, but I powered through it! Not gonna ding them on that! Will be back!

Busy place but service was exceptional. Both fried mushroom appetizer and burgers were great. Some interesting ingredient combos for burger options. Lots of families with kids. Lively!

Our server was great. The food was just ok. The turkey burger was bland. The shaved Brussels salad was fine. The kids mac and cheese seemed like it had been cooked long before our order was placed and reheated. The tater tots and French fries were decent.

I've been here almost 10 times and I can't think of a single bad thing to say about this place. The staff, the food, the drinks are all awesome. Living so close by its so nice to have a place like this, that is always so reliable. I can't thank these people enough, amazing!
