Jennifer our server was great and the atmosphere was very 'pub' - like. Pricing is good, food is average. My meatloaf was dry, even with the bacon wrapped around it. It was too finely ground and somewhat bland. The spicy cheese curds are good, corned beef and cabbage is good. Next time I'm there I will try the fish and chips, they look good from afar.

Great Brunch - Highly suggest Chicken & Waffles. The Nutty Irishmen is very delicious! Perfect for an after dinner drink!

I have yet to try the pub itself. It was chaotic the time I visited the pub which is to be expected because it was St. Patrick's day. The biggest celebration of the year, and also hosted by the pub, which explains the place being crowded. A second visit is in the works so I can marvel at this historic pub shipped all the way from Ireland when it's more quiet and calm 😁😁😁 Take 2: So, we went back for dinner on a Friday night and it was relatively full so there was a bit of a wait. I had the Bourbon beef Medallion which was huge thick round slabs of beef meat. The sauce was good. However, the beef was too thick for my liking. I did enjoy the green beans and mashed potatoes. Their Vegetable Ratatouille was ok. It was a pleasant first time experience. However, it may not be the best place if you prefer a quiet dining setting sans loud, blaring music. On the plus side, it's a historical pub so that adds appeal to the place.

Terrible service and yes I get that most places are short staffed but the server was not in a hurry for anything. Order my 3 yr old daughter food first and a appetizer (spicy cheese curds) and a beer before dinner. 20 minutes for the beer to arrive and appetizer came out with dinner. We ordered the meatloaf which was good but the lack of service will make us never go back which is disappointing because we live down the street. Almost there for 3 hours! Never again 😒

Absolutely AMAZING place! Irish pub that was brought over piece by piece from Ireland! The owner greeted me and introduced his staff, never felt so welcome to a new place! Food is excellent, ambiance perfect and the staff is very friendly and helpful. They have bands at times inside and outside venues. Truly amazed by this place!

Went to have dinner and drinks last night with my wife. They were a little busy so they said it would be 10 minutes to be seated. We found two seats at the bar so we sat there and ordered two glasses of Zinfandel. The bar tender who was nice told us she knew nothing about wine and that she had no idea what kind of wine they had. We said ok how about two Rum and Cokes. She smiled and said I can do that. After searching for 10 minutes she came back and said they had no rum at all. We went back to wine and told her to give us any red. She poured us two glasses with about half of what you should and admitted that she doesn't even work there and she's just helping out a friend. We then ordered a shrimp appetizer. 45 minutes later we asked could she check on it and she came back 5 minutes later with what looked like a bowl of soup with 6 shrimp in it. The taste was just average and so we decided to go somewhere else for an entree. We had been there many times when it was Galway and everything was great. The cook always came around to ask everyone how their food was and the drinks were great. Not sure what's going on with the new owners but looking around everyone seemed overwhelmed. Disappointing.

Fried fish was great and service too. The fries were just OK, not the flavour though, there were way too many 1-2 inch cuts, almost seemed like left over fries. Please, keep the food consistent.

Food was good so was atmosphere. Would go there again if in the area.

This place is beyond amazing! Everything was cooked fresh in the kitchen. The service was phenomenal.. bars and restaurants need to take after here. Once I was done with a plate someone would walk by and grab it immediately!! Great drink specials.. i was looking at other peoples plates and it all looked delish! The chef was also going around asking for peoples input! Will definitely be back asap to try other items on the menu!! Ps sheppards pie was the best ive ever had in the states! Well done 👏👏👏👏👏

We were a long time customer and have many great meals. We revisited tonight and I had the corned beef which I rated as a 10 a year ago. It was horrible. Thick cut is fine bit mine was dried out, hard and crusty. Corned beef should be juicy, moist. Please go back to the old recipe. You used to be my go to place but this dish made me sad.

Great Sunday Brunch. I wasn't sure how brunch would be at this place. But their chicken and waffles are fantastic. The way they bread the chicken with just enough spice, makes for an excellent compliment to the waffles. Prices are fair, and service was great considering the "shortage" in staff. I would definitely recommend this place.

We had brunch today and I do not recommend the eggs Benedict. The menu says ham but there was basically one piece of bacon that was cut in half there was no hollandaise sauce on top of it and the eggs were over cooked. They put grits as a side which we didn’t even ask for. The biscuits and chicken were not very good either. Chicken was very dry gravy had no flavor. And then our waitress on three multiple occasions confused or checks. My son ordered a bloody Mary double and they charged him full price for two bloody Mary’s. Very disappointing to see this wonderful restaurant go downhill. Will not be returning.

We’ve been customers since day one there … tonight we got a second take out since sold. A Reuben and a pastrami with cheese both with fries… ugh those nasty fries ! Never understood that dirty oil fry thing. And our sandwiches were ok at best . Guess we’re used to at least a great sandwich…have never figured out those fries!!!

The server was excellent, attentive, and was very sweet. The pretzels and cheese curds were amazing. My friend loved the fish and chips. I was very disappointed with the chicken sandwich. It was supposed to be battered and dipped in a wing sauce. Instead, I received grilled chicken which was overcooked and covered in paprika. I couldn’t finish it, and we took it home; however, I ended up getting sick later on. The kitchen should know buffalos wing sauce is wet and delicious Chicken should never be dry and covered in so many spices, and this is coming from someone who loves its spicy and hot; however, it must be edible.

Great food, awesome atmosphere, the live music was nice too. My only complaint is some of the food was a bit less than hot as if it had been sitting out for a min. Honestly though, it was great and I would go again.

Had a nice Thursday dinner with $5 draft Guinness. Fish and Chips and Bangers and Mash were delicious. The onion soup was good.. but VERY salty. We were pleasantly surprised to find it was trivia night. It was a fun evening!

The food at Piper’s Tavern at Lake Norman is Excellent and the staff is Friendly and Fast! Love the new menu! I just had the best ‘Shrimp and Grits’ here and highly recommend the Reuben sandwich! Trivia on Thursday night was a great time! Thanks for a fun family night out! A+

We had a party of 9 including 2 kids. Hostess was very accomodating in getting us seated. Katherine our waitress was great in serving and checking on us. All food was great and we all had a wonderful time. The special of the night was the filet and it was top quality and very tasty. Jennifer the manager was also very attentive in making sure all was right with our group. Piper's has a very nice atomosphere. We will be back.

We sat at the bar and there was only one bartender, he was so busy with waitress service than the people sat up at the bar. Took a while before he got to us. Could’ve used a second bartender, especially because it was quiz night. We ordered the brussel sprouts appetizer, that was a good size portion but the fish and chips was rubbish. The chips were about 1 inch long and scrappy. The fish was just ok. They did not have any draft ciders and the one in a bottle was an American cider. Such a shame because it could be a great pub.

I don't remember our servers name but it took her a few minutes to come over and greet us. We had to ask for the drink menu as we weren't given one when we sat down. We were not in a rush to eat dinner we wanted a nice relaxing time. But our server took her time on everything. I would see her outside talking to a customer for a while and then she would come back inside a few minutes then I guess remember that we were there and needed service. Overall not happy with how this "date" night went. When we ordered our drinks my boyfriend ask for a black and tan she brought over a Guinness. I ask for a run and coke. She ask Bacardi or captain. I said Captain. She brought me a rum and Bacardi both times I ask for a drink. We order the garlic parmesan fries they came out kinda soggy and chopped garlic in the middle of them. We then ordered food and I ordered the salmon. They brought our food over and brought me the wrong food. I had to wait another 5-10 min for my food while my boyfriend had his food. When the I went to eat the salmon it was super salty. It comes with jasmine rice that they over salted and asparagus that was "grilled" it was very chewy. I honestly use to love this place but ever since the management or ownership has changed it's gone to the dogs.

The atmosphere was wonderful, and the food delicious. They had good drinks, and the staff was great. Next time we are in the area we'll be sure to visit again. On a more personal note, I liked that the chef interacted with the patrons, and was working alongside his staff bussing tables.

Absolutely great time at the Comedy Zone @galwayhookernc my nonprofit organization @Attach Families Inc. Inc. attachfamilies.org held an event here and they were so helpful and the entire staff amazing. Can't wait to do it again!💚💚💚

Not sure what happened but they closed thier door. I really liked this place and the food was outstanding. Could of had a better mix drink menu but made do...they still deserve 5 stars
