    Ok, wow! This placed exceeded expectations. When I got there only the drive thru was open and there were about 5 cars ahead of me. After the second car I could hear the guy in the speaker saying the system was down and couldn't take orders for ten minutes. Me and a few other cars waited. Once it was up and working we put out orders in and the line started flowing again. I got the Fish Sandwich and Fried Okra with a Sweet Tea. I must say, even with the wait this is still one of THE BEST FISH SANDWICHES IVER EVER HAD! The entire meal was hot and fresh and the okra and fish were crispy! This tartar sauce is something special. Great meal served by smiling staff!

    Horrible service, horrible food, overall just a horrible experience. Should have just left as soon as I was greeted at the drive thru menu. Was greeted with a what do you want with a full on tone of annoyance. After order was placed was meet at the window with eye rolling as I asked to purchase more sauce. After all the attitude of just placing and receiving my order, I got home to find cold shrimp, undercooked fish that was crispy on the outside and cold mushy fish and batter on the inside, rock hard hush puppies, and the extra tartar sauce that I purchased was no where to be found. When I tried to call up there to talk to a manager, my call just kept getting forwarded to a voicemail. This was my third time trying to give them a chance to see if there would be any change and nope, the exact same poor service and quality. I will never go back here again, and I highly recommend that you spend your hard earned money somewhere else for dinner.

    Long wait in drive thru which would have been worth it if they got my order correct. How could you forget the hush puppies? It's the best part of the meal. 😔 Beware of the entrance/exit. Pot holes the size of a swimming pool.

    I wanted to sit down to eat. Inside dining was available. Didn't realize that was still optional. Employees were not unpleasant but seemed distracted. Appeared to be adequate staff but was close to a shift change. More dirty tables than clean. A phone left on a table that kinda atmosphere. I had calabash shrimp though I'm not sure they were. Small shrimp like shapes, slightly overcooked no taste whatsoever. I've had them from other locations and you could always tell it was some kind of shrimp product, not fresh caught but at least seafood. We didn't stay long, the table had a wobble. I'll just avoid this location.

    I've had the food before and it's always on point (orders aren't wrong, food isn't cold, etc.). The service is good. I complained about closing times but I got that wrong so I'm adjusting my rating. Also the management reached out quickly about my complaint so that's awesome. The atmosphere is just alright but the food is what I was here for so I'm happy.

    First time trying was not let down. Ordered the shrimp and fries and could not resist the funnel cake fries. everything was on point. Customer Service was good as well.

    Drive through employee was very rude. I inquired about the store no longer excepting coupons at this location. She said it had to be a corporate Captain D's (on Eastway) and closed the window in my face I proceeded to check my bags to make sure all my food was there and the drive through window opened again. She said, "is something wrong!" I said, "no, I'm just checking to make sure everything is here." She promptly closed the window on me again.     It's my normal Captain D'. So normally it's really busy but this day not so much( I was glad it had been a while). It was night time so wasn't sure they were open. The lights were off but it was earlier then 9 so knew they should be open. The order sign was dark hard to order or see what to order if I wanted something different and the captain d sign was off, couldn't tell. Food was ok normally its hot and fresh it was just ok on this night. Every day may not be great it was ok.

    I waited so long for my order. It was a big fish sandwich combo. When I got home, they had catfish in my como. I really dislike catfish.

    Went through drive thru, the employee was very friendly in letting me know what l wanted, they're out of and made a suggestion. He told me my total and thanked me for coming. Got to the window, paid for my order and drove away after checking my order.

    Quality at night time went down drastically. Food cold don’t even listen to the sauce I ask for cause I just threw away at least 6 tartar sauces and hush puppies. Told me they wasn’t cooking anymore of what I actually wanted. Late night food in Charlotte just ain’t the same anymore I guess

    First we were met by an employee at the door telling us the dining room was not available, drive through only. We were looking forward to sitting in the dining room, as we live in Mooresville NC, our food would have gotten cold if we had waited to eat it when we got home. We had no choice but to sit in the parking lot in the car and eat. The girl who took our order at the drive-thru was very pleasant. When we got our food, it was hot, so that was a plus. As a former Captain D's manager, I can say the pieces of fish were small. The hush puppies and fries were okay. At the risk of sounding a little picky, the outside condition of the restaurant is not exactly inviting. There are huge potholes in the road at one of the entrance/exit points, the drive-thru menu is in very poor condition and very out of date compared to most restaurants these days. Overall this experience was not worth the money.

    The associate at the window/mic was on the phone during the the transaction. I handed him a coupon for a 4 piece meal he rung me up full price then i only got 3 pieces of fish. The fish was over cooked and the tarter sauce was very sweet for some reason.

    The food is fair, but I’m telling you this as a former employee from many moons ago, do not ask for their tartar sauce unless it’s prepackaged and sealed in a pack, don’t ask for tartar sauce, if they’re making it in the store still. 😂

    Service was pretty good, but my food [fish] was a little overcooked. I try to patronize because they have been longstanding and a staple in the Charlotte community for so long. I'm coming back at some point because it could have just been a bad day, but I expect things to be better. This visit gets a 2 though. They even have a 100.0 grade posted in the drive-thru window so I know they can do better.
