We’ve never walked out without a smile, this place is happiness with every bite. Service is always so friendly and expedient. Very reasonable prices for the area and very tasty. Wide variety of food and healthy options. Shoutout to Norman, one of the most friendliest and best servers we’ve ever had anywhere.

This was absolutely a dream experience! I think I have thought about my cinnamon apple pancake since we've left. Our service was absolutely wonderful and the food was piping hot. Are server let us know that because we were doing these particular pancakes that it would take a tiny bit longer and gave us an expectation of the wait time. I am happy to find out that their other location is not too far from where I live and we will certainly be making the trek!

This place literally never disappoints. Grant it I always get the same thing, the chorizo Spanish omelette, but it’s that good I can’t help but continue getting it. And their pancakes are out of this world, I don’t know what they put in the batter to make them so distinct but they are amazing. Puts ihop to shame. My waiter was awesome too, I believe his name was Norman. Either way customer service was excellent all the way around and always is every time I go in.

I have tried to get here a couple times before, but always so busy. I'm glad I decided to wait this time. If you wanting the apple pancake, just know it takes a little while to make that...roughly 30 mins. It is worth it! The crepes were delicious as well. I loved the fresh cream. I really loved that they did not have a heaping pat of butter on the pancake when it was served. It was brought separate. That's wonderful for people like me that doesn't want butter on her pancakes.

Food was just ok. The cleanliness was not good. My family including my newborn were sat near an emergency exit door full of dust. (Pic attached) when we mentioned it the girl, she came out with a rag as if she was going to wipe it down while we were sitting there🥴. We also mentioned to a manager and he seemed unconserned. Another thing was a bus boy that kept coming in and out the kitchen biting an apple that he would leave laying on a shelf that also held the utensils.

Wow! I wish there was one of these where I lived. These were the best pancakes and waffles that I have ever had hands-down. It was always busy when I did go. The prices are pretty reasonable as well. I will definitely be back next time I am in the area. My only complaint is that there are a lot of bugs flying around the food and around the restaurant in general and it was worrisome.

I so happen to be around when I found this place. The wait was not bad, and the prices were great. Didn't take any pics of our dishes but I definitely recommend

I saw good reviews and wanna visit this place while I stop in North Carolina . I can't say I was impressed. Regular place, reminds me IHOP. The only thing i have been impressed with is real juices. The food was ok, the atmosphere was very crowded ,and I don't think I would be back.

Me and my husband ordered the BLT w/no cheese! When we got our order both sandwiches had cheese and the receipt clearly states NO CHEESE!! Then to top it all off they give us burned potatoes..absolutely disgusting!! The bacon was half cooked!! I would not recommend take out order from this place because they seem not to care about the quality of food they give you vs if you dine in, they’ll make sure to give you decent food. Wasted my time ordering from here! Never again!! We went to get a full refund! No need to replace our order! This shouldn’t have happened to start with!

Original Pancake House located at 4736 Sharon Road, Charlotte, NC 28210 is part of a legendary Pancake Chain with some of the best breakfast meals around. They are priced very fairly - not cheap but certainly not expensive. I don’t compare this to IHOP as it is far better than that. I recommend the cherry crepe and do not recommend the Apple pancake as it has far too much brown sugar on it. The Dutch Baby is very good though. My cheese/onion omelette was fluffy and delicious. Service was very good however the kitchen was slammed so it took a bit of time to get our meal. It was well worth the wait. Follow my Google reviews as I have over 300,000 daily viewers and am the very rare level 10.

OMG!!!! How amazing!!!! Everything is so fresh! Orange Juice is fresh squeeze...for real for real! Prices are reasonable, and service was excellent! I had Egg Whites scrambled with Cheese, 1/2 stacked Blueberry Pancakes, and part of the Apple Pancake! My sis had Banana Pecan Pacakes. I can't even explain how good the Apple Pancake is!!! It is inexplicable! I felt like I was in heaven, eating a foreign food that I've never had, and that all calories didn't count! aha. Also, the wait for the apple Pancake is about 20mins. Trust me, you want to wait for it!! We also waited about 45 minutes to go in the restaurant but the hostess gave us the expectation. We are so glad we waited. Soooooo good!!!!!! ahhhhhh!!!! I'm so glad I don't live near here because...yeah...wow! 👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽

First impression, 1 hour wait, no waiting room. Get seated and recieve menus. Half of the menu has been blacked out and unavailable in comparison to their online menu. We have 2 toddlers and requested to place their order once being sat, to which the waitress replied that she was not ready, I'll be back. About 10 minutes later (1 hour and 15 min past arrival) we were able to order our children's meals. Not recommended for family meals Update: Food took roughly 40 minutes, Benedict came with a hard poach, and hollandaise sauce had set, been cold, and fairly flavorless. The chorizo was good. Response: We did use the check in method, and there is no excuse for being sat and being told by the waitress that she's not ready to take a full order, only drinks. Further, paying employees over unemployment wadge generally solves your other issue.

Updated review. 10/23/21. We love the ham and scrambled egg breakfast. Try the banana pancakes with the tropical syrup. Delicious! My wife and son and granddaughters went here on New Year’s Day. We had the blueberry pancakes, which were excellent! Also ham and eggs, pancakes and ham and scrambled. Great service. Very busy on Saturdays.

Worst Grits EVER! Service was great. Eggs, bacon, sausage, and pancakes were acceptable-to-good. But those grits??!!! A crying shame how terrible they were. Right here in the SOUTH. I know how they probably cooked them. Placed water and grits TOGETHER at the same time and brought them to a boil. Then they likely added more grits and water to the pot to replenish the supply as they were running out. YUCK! Good southern quick grits (not instant grits which should be a crime to sell) can ONLY be made one way: Bring water to a raging boil and THEN add the grits. Use about 4 cups of water to every 1 cup of grits. Cook-down for 30 to 45 minutes, reducing heat after about 15 minutes of intense boil. Continue to stir until thick. Use less water for thicker grits. Can add a dash of heavy whipping (NOT half n half or milk) when almost done but don’t over do it like a lot of restaurants do. Do THIS, and the grits will NEVER separate and become GRAINY and GRITTY and RUNNY like soup in the way these grits were. And by the way, they served them with a SPOON! LOL! Who does that!! LOL! Good grits is not like SOUP! A good grit requires only a fork to eat. If you’re ever served-up a bowl of grits and you need a spoon to eat them because they would run through a fork, SEND THEM BACK! LOL!!! Absolutely ruined the entire experience. Southern breakfast is just NOT southern breakfast without a GOOD grit….not this grainy soup this place is selling.

My boss suggested this place and I am so happy I went. I love all the variety and specialty dishes. The apple pancake is phenomenal. I do suggest getting it for the table to share because for one it’s huge and two you are going to want to try other menu options. My friend did not like omelet but no offense to the restaurant i do not really care for chicken in my omelet - nothing against the restaurant- I just think it wasn’t for her. Her daughter got strawberry pancakes not shown - she loved it. Came with jams and whip cream to put on top along with fresh strawberries. I got sausage and bacon to see which was better. Both are good but bacon takes the cake. The home fries are good but I suggest asking them to make them crispy. That’s just how i like them. I got over easy eggs and there were actually over easy. A lot of restaurants can’t seem to always get the style of eggs that you want to a T. I am very impressed by not only the quality of the food but also the service.

Can I just say we need one of these restaurants in North Charlotte! The menu is so plentiful, you just don't know what to order because it all looks scrumptious. Over a dozen different kind of pancakes and omelets, besides the usual breakfast fare to choose from. Warm maple syrup is served so your pancakes aren't forced to shiver from cold syrup being poured all over them. Oh, and the coffee is hot and superb. Our waiter, Vito, never let our cups go dry, either. The staff from the front door to the table busser was all friendly and had a smile. Definitely worth the 45 minute drive to partake in a very satisfying breakfast.

Our party ordered Florentino crepe, pancakes and cherry blintz. The crepe came with potato pancakes. Also ordered orange juice and bacon. Everything was delicious, but the potato pancakes. The potato pancakes were way too salty. Service was good.

Such a dice roll when you order the apple pancake here! If I hadn't grown up on this stuff (I weigh 940lbs now) in MI (because it's cold there, so it's fine- all Michiganders are in the 900 club! Fun fact!), I wouldn't care, but knowing how good they can be, I feel the inconsistency is worth addressing. It was flat and dense, not just deflated from resting. It was pale, and coated in dry clumps of sugar, while the standard is mahogany brown, with more of a glazed, sticky finish for anyone who doesn't know the way. At least one cook and one server felt good about selling it like this, and maybe a mgr/expo in between. It's my birthday, and this was my only concrete celebratory plan- I wasn't going to complain and wait another thirty minutes for another that might not be any better. It was still okay, and I ate it, and I'm not mad about it, but internally, some more attention needs to be given to the validation of the food and standards/processes imo. The coffee was extra weak today. Both my coffee and water went dry. There was mention that cuts were made to the floor, so supports were not in place when it did get busy, and coffee wasn't getting made in time. Personally, I appreciate the honest context. Everybody's doing what they can, and I'll always extend some grace. Doing good, with room for improvement. Please clean the ceiling vent cover above the kitchen threshold.

Not your average pancake house. So many types of pancakes and waffles, all you can customize to your palate. We had a party of 8 and were seated immediately. Our server was less than attentive tho when she saw we were actually going to want refills, and we did have to beg for our checks, which the manager eventually got for us. All in all tho I’d definitely visit again.. the unique food is worth the annoyance of a slack server :)

I went here for the first time today for a takeout order and was very disappointed in my order. First off, regardless of whether you do takeout or sit down, play accordingly because they stay very busy! I had gotten a vegetable omelette with pancakes for my side and my fiance got a create your own omelette for his breakfast. He enjoyed his. And for the price you do get a very large omelette. However I was not a fan of the omelette or pancakes. The omelette looked burnt and was a weird shape with a spongy texture. The pancakes were anything but sweet! It almost had a salty taste. I had asked for blueberry compote on the side which was just watered down blueberry syrup. All in all I wouldn't go back myself. Staff was friendly though.

Tried this place for the first time. Both hostesses did not made a good first impression- they looked like they hated working there and were not friendly at all. Our server though was luckily very lovely. Food was ok, nothing fancy or special but solid good. It was very crowded and loud as it was packed on a Saturday morning but service and food still was very quick!
