If you’re looking for a nice customer service experience DON’T GO TO THIS LOCATION! I was so hyped to visit this Amelie’s and came in (most tables were dirty with previous customers plates and drinks - see photos) also I got an iced coffee and three desserts. The iced coffee was watered down filled with milk and sugar. I asked to exchange with hot coffee and they refused. How cheap can you be to refuse to exchange a cup or hot tea? And they give you a look like you’re stealing from them! Ugh I just left this horrible customer service experience place for a so many different ones. Save your self the trip and check out Night swim coffee or Not Just Coffee or Undercurrent Coffee or summit coffee. There’s so many places to try in the Charlotte area

They were out of about 75% of their Bakery items by 1:00pm on a Sunday. Their explanation was "we no longer have a baker at this location so this is all we can offer". The sandwiches we ordered were great, the $50 cake we pre-ordered and picked up was not. It looked fantastic until we cut into it, and then the whole thing started crumbling to pieces. The "buttercream" frosting was weird and cracked into pieces when we tried to cut it. We had a baker in the family that said they must have made the cake earlier in the week and frozen it (not surprising since they don't have a baker anymore). Not what I'd expect for $50. We won't be back to this location; hopefully they haven't let their other location fall apart like this one.

There is no question about it, you will absolutely be transported to france. Every single thing is so cool about this place , be in interiors, menu, props, walls every little thing is so full of creative aspects. Had their latte and chicken pesto sandwich. There is lot more stuff to try. Overall loved it.

I've always liked this Amelie's uptown and this location. We ordered macaroons, almond cake thing, coconut macaroons as well. I liked em but they did taste a bit dry from the inside. I liked the assorted chandeliers and the decor of this French bakery. They make stuff in house.

My wife, son, and granddaughters went there for breakfast. My son loved the breakfast sandwich. My granddaughters loved the eclairs and the really crisp bacon. My wife and I had the sausage and cheese quiche. I loved it, my wife said hers was just okay, and it was cold

Amelie’s French bakery, this is one of the most popular bakery in Charlotte, every time I come here always a line, my favorite is the macaroons! Not too sweet and very soft. Love the spacious seating area. Bring a friend and enjoy your French style morning!

The service at this location is OK. The food is consistent with the other locations. However, it can get crowded which slows down things a bit. They run out of things quickly but they don't tell you until after you've paid & the manager (short man) isn't very accommodating because of this issue...

We stopped into Amelie's for a quick stop before going to take out little pup for a walk. The bakery had a large selection with tons of macrons and other classic deserts such as eclairs. I ordered a Napoleon, one of my favorite dessert. I will say that it was hard to cut/eat but the flavor was spot on. They used a more marscapon filling, though I always prefer pastry cream. We also got some croissant sandwiches. The coffee was okay but the cappuccino I ordered was one of the better ones I have had

I was pleasantly surprised that Amelie's actually has a good chicken spinach sandwich that had goat cheese and some sort of basil pesto spread on it. However, overall I feel the quality of the desserts have gone down. Meaning, what's not pictured is a lemon raspberry tart because when I cut into it, it was the consistency of Yellow Grits... Not smooth at all. Therefore, I gave it back and although they admitted it shouldn't be that way they didn't have any fresh ones to swap with because that whole entire batch came from the main store. The soup that came with the sandwich had a decent flavor but it was very mushy, definitely overcooked!

Come check them out! Great place known for their desserts. They also gave coffee, tea, salads, and sandwiches. They have plenty of indoor and outdoor space. Meet here with a friend and colleagues or bring your laptop to get work done.

This was our first time visiting. We enjoyed the ambiance of the establishment and the pastries, for the most part. The petit strawberry shortcake was delicious, but the cinnamon buns were extremely dry and we could not eat them. We will try microwaving later on. Thank you!

Love this location! They have coloring sheets for the kiddos and kids meals which include a macaron. Bre was super helpful and patient while my daughter tried to find which macaron she wanted. We love coming to Amelie’s!

Any chance I get to meet someone for coffee in South Charlotte, Amelie's is my go-to! I could ooh and ahh over all the gorgeous pasties and treats in the displays forever. I try to select something new each time and ALWAYS end up taking something home. It's such a fun experience!

All of the staff are so kind, especially Fia!! I always have the most uplifting conversations with them. Yummy food and fantastic environment to be in!! My favorite item is the (gluten free) caramel brownie. Such a delightful treat!

I often visit my daughter in Charlotte, and we come here EVERY time, sometimes multiple times per visit. It’s wonderful every single time. The food is incredible. The service is friendly. This local bakery and cafe is just delightful and a MUST visit. Today we had Autumn, she was wonderful!

I love the vibes of this place. It is so unique and chill. The food and baked goods are also very good, and for gluten free folks or those with celiac they have plenty of options for you too. I went with my mom who has celiac and got her an Oreo/peanut butter dessert and it was delicious! I got myself a wrap and coffee as well. Both were very good too.

I liked the atmosphere, very cool. But we ordered the petit gateau and they actually served a large, dry cake. The true petit gateau, as the name suggests, is a small cake filled with melted chocolate and served with a scoop of ice cream. The lavender macaron was delicious

We have been to various Amelie cafes lots of times. This time, my favorite petit gateaux with strawberry was not fresh and tasty. It was hard to eat it. It looked like it was in a fridge for several days. The cream was very dense and with almost no taste. Original petit gateaux was not good as well. It looked like it was from a fridge. To sum up, Amelie network in general is a great place. This particular one significantly does not meet the franchise quality level.

An amazing, artistic, classic and calming environment. Amélie's to me will be in my top 5 bakeries/coffee shops/simple lunch or meetup spots. I truly enjoyed the overall atmosphere and vibe. The employees were very nice, and overall I loved it. Desserts; I had a few different ones and so did a business partner of mine who I was meeting up with and we enjoyed all of it. We had Chocolate Silk Tart 8/10 (no soggy bottom. Perfect. The chocolate custard reminded me of my mothers) *Tiramisu 8/10 (not dry at all. Perfectly soaked in coffee) *Creme Brulée 9/10 (they torched it fresh) *Salted caramel brownie 7/10 (you can tell caramel was cooked properly with how well it held up) *Banana Cream Tart 7/10 (no soggy bottom. Perfect) *Cheese Danish 7/10 ( could use more cream cheese but overall very flaky and good taste) Overall everything wasn't nastily sweet like you get with some american bakeries. Everything you could actually taste what they were made with and not just sugar. I really enjoyed it. She really enjoyed it. She went to the bathroom and stated they even had a secret code word for woman in case they are in trouble to discreetly tell employees. Very happy with that. Not a lot of places do that. Bathrooms were very clean and nice on the mens side.

Bakeries are so good, sweet enough to enlighten the taste and moods but took forever for just a bread & coffee.

I have wanted to try them and the day I came in they no espresso, so no cappuccino, and they offered me iced coffee. So I got tea, nothing special. However, the key lime tart was very good.

On the way back to Soda City, my beautiful Daughter in Law asked if there were any French Bakeries nearby. (She speaks fluent French) So I whooped out my brain, iPhone, and did an extensive research. I came up with Amélies French Bakery that had a location near us and several others in Charlotte. I GPS’d to their Carmel location and put the emergency blinkers on as I waited outside while the crew were inside filling up boxes. When they came, I took pictures that looked pretty good. Little did I know my tongue hitting my head may cause a concussion when I took a taste of the first sample and I thought I was in France as they were so good!!! If you are looking for sickening sweet desserts, this is not for you. If you like European sweetness, Soda City can’t compete!!! I knew something was up as I saw so many people coming out with boxes!!! The only error was my Son told them not to torch the top of his cream brûlée. He said he wouldn’t turn it down again.

While my order was to-go, they were kind and gentle. The cafe macotter was delicious and the macarons are the perfect amount of sweet and flavor. There’s a cute sitting area outside which I will for sure visit when the weather and covid permits.

This is a great café! The mocha latte was perfect. It seems they may be using a bakery chocolate. It had a velvety smooth mouth feel and stayed mixed to the end. Not too sweet and it let the coffee shine through. The macrons are really tasty with a variety of flavors. A slightly resistant outer crust with a delightful soft chew to the interior. And the cream is delicious. Not inexpensive by any means, but true to the old saying, "you get what you pay for." Highly recommended!

Unique style and very European feel if you want to have your pastry and stay. Wide variety of options and nice prices. Maybe too much space devoted for seating that is not used at the moment but overall a nice experience.

👍👍 Skeptical. I visited this place because of a research on brunch places in downtown. Ended here because of the Google rating. Almost Worth it! The Italian sausage hash was really good. But my spouse ordered an avocado toast and it lacked flavor. Also, the coffee was legit; really good! Also ordere...
