Had to be one of the worst meals that I have every had eating out. I ordered the Caribbean Chicken Salad. The chicken salad was like eating mush and the dressing was horrible. I got cornbread for my side...not sure if you can buy frozen cornbread and heat it up, but if you can, this was it. The restaurant itself is not very inviting. I will say the waitress that we had was nice and good.

Ordered through door dash and it was a headache. They didn’t have the order ready, when the driver arrived.. They left things off our order (cornbread, beef patties, etc) paid $40 for some nasty macaroni, undercooked wings and 3 oxtails. This place is just nasty. And oh yeah, when I called about my order, surprisingly the line was BUSY all day. So I guess, they take their phone off the hook so they won’t have to address complaints. Bad business.

Very polite, but petty. BUT took three calls to three different numbers to find out that a catering order placed two weeks ago and reconfirmed would not be delivered. I found out half an hour after they were late. Wanted to dine in personally, but won’t now.

I have gone to Anntony's for the longest time. Since 1994. In 2000, I moved to another state and unfortunately, the owner sold the restaurant as a franchise and moved to Sugarcreek. Since then, I would return to Charlotte yearly to see my family and visit the 7th street location. Unfortunately, I had noticed the food quality declining over the years. First, they stop basting and marinating the chicken in Anntony's Sauce, which is the whole point of Anntony's. Then they stop seasoning the chicken. But they still roasted the chicken and used the sauce, so it was still good. It's 2016, and this place is now a disappointment. The only thing that is Anntony's is the sauce. Unfortunately, the quality of the chicken has gone down. I have never been so disappointed when I saw my food. Anntony's was famous for its Anntony's All-Purpose Sauce and chicken wings. The original staff would start slow roasting the chicken with a bucket of sauce and base it with a mop brush at every turn, creating chicken wings of sticky and saucy goodness. This time, I ordered takeout blindly, expecting the same chicken I had eaten for years. Nope, it seems there's either a new owner or manager this time. They closed off the bar area, and now instead of slow-roasting the chicken, they deep-fried it and let it sit in a hot bin till someone places an order—what a disappointment. The chicken looks overcooked and old. The chicken meat is dry and bland. No better than fried buffalo wings from an old bar. Please do not go here and head to the Sugarcreek location instead. At least they still make the chicken by Anntony's standards. Unfortunately, I haven't been there yet on this recent trip to Charlotte. But I may go tomorrow to have a good experience with Anntony's wings before I leave.

Very tasty Caribbean food. Being originally from the north, West Indians can be a little aggressive... The staff here was really nice. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Also music playing outside. The restaurant was very clean and you can space out indoors and outdoors. This location also offers meal prep service. Prices look decent. My oxtail dinner was great. I enjoyed the plantains and chicken Philly cheese steak egg rolls.

This place doesn't even deserve one star after the service I received. On my lunch break being 8.5 months pregnant I order ribs to with the side. I didn't check my food because I wasn't expecting there to be a problem since they're usually amazing there. However I open my food at work and realize that they gave me wings instead of ribs. I called got hung up on 3 time due to customers in checking out, so they say. When I finally got in touch with someone who I'm guessing is the manager, he then asked me "do I not check my food before leaving". The nerve of this guy's question was mouth filling. No I didn't expect to get the completely wrong order because ribs and chicken sound nothing alike. I'm gonna go return the food after work for a what I'm expecting to a full refund of my money because I couldn't even eat one bite of it. Will post results of return.

I came here on a Friday night and had the jerk chicken with corn, candied yams, and Johnny bread made by Chef Webstar. Everything I had was amazing! Great food and friendly atmosphere, and real slow-cooked recipes.

If you are yet to experience dining at Anntony’s let me tell you. “Your Missing out”! If you want a fun new drink get the “The Swank”, it’s not a Alcoholic drink..lol..You’ll thank me later!! The food was delicious..I can’t tell you what I like better about my meal but it was all excellent...That piece of chicken right there had my name all over it. If I were you next chance you want to try a decent Caribbean place head to Anntony’s. Tell him I sent you!!

I don't understand why all the negative reviews. Yes, it isn't traditional Jamaican food, even though they sell some traditional Jamaican meals, like jerk chicken and peas and rice. However, the food was very tasty. The peas and rice was very moist and had great seasoning. The owner was very pleasant.
