😠 The fish was Overcooked and dry. The beef short ribs was very unappetizing. It reminded me of my dogs breakfast. He just left the plate vertically in front of me as if he wasn’t sure who it was for. You guys are in the services and hospitality business. Please be a lil friendly and it doesn’t hurt... I've heard wonderful things and needed to try it for myself. Went for restaurant week to graze the menu a little. Bite by bite we were met with wonderful flavors again and again. This may be one of the most wonderful Italian restaurants I have ever visited. Go and try it all.

The fish was Overcooked and dry. The beef short ribs was very unappetizing. It reminded me of my dogs breakfast. He just left the plate vertically in front of me as if he wasn’t sure who it was for. You guys are in the services and hospitality business. Please be a lil friendly and it doesn’t hurt to ask who it was for if you forgot who said what when you took the order. The service was terrible. The waiter never ever bothered to ask “How’s everything today?” They made us wait 45 mins for the main course and all others who came in after us left. The waiter spilt half a glass of wine and didn’t say a single word of “Sorry about that”. That’s the least he could’ve said let alone discount the bottle for the wine we didn’t enjoy cos of his carelessness. He didn’t replace the wet wine glass. He just brought a roll of kitchen towels and left it on our table as if to say, “Help yourselves”. This was their chance to win over a customer during restaurant week, but I’d rather take my clients elsewhere.

Amazing 5-year anniversary experience, starting with the water- I’ve never liked the taste of sparkling until now! (Sparkling Mineral water included complimentarily, unusual but nice touch). Delicious passionfruit Bellini, the best duck I’ve ever had (with the fat perfectly crusted) in a savory fig glaze, also a watermelon-mint caprese salad appetizer was one of the best things I’ve ever tasted. Beautiful restaurant!

My sister and I ate here for restaurant week. It was amazing. I had the manzo, tajarin, and a lemon meringue tart. She had the panzanella, tortelli, and chocolate tart. We shared a bottle of white wine the waiter recommended and finished the evening with some limoncello. Everything was perfection from the service to the last grain of coarse salt.

Absolutely love this place, great Italian food, small portions as is in Europe; however, the food is delicious. My all the time must have is the grilled Octopus- if you do not try anything else on the menu try this as well as the watermelon salad!

This was our first visit after hearing good things and we were blown away. The food was outstanding, the pork loin was perfection, along with everything else and that dark chocolate tart was a perfect end to the meal. The staff were warm and friendly and helped us through the menu. We will definitely return.

What a wonderful experience! It truly felt like I was transported to a little cafe in Italy. The food was absolutely swoon-worthy and the wine pairing with our dinner was phenomenal. I can’t say enough wonderful things about this restaurant.

Had a great time at Aqua e Vino. Been wanting to try it for a while. Our server Rachel was great. Very attentive and knew the menu and gave us some good suggestions as well. We had a few different pastas, the special burrata and the eggplant Parmesan. Everything was delicious. They also made a great dirty martini and had a great wine selection. The only thing that was sort of annoying was our reservation was at 6:30 and I made a mistake and got there at 6. My friend was late and got there at 6:50 and Rachel was telling us we had to leave by 7:30 (which was impossible at that point, because we just ordered). The hostess probably shouldn’t have sat me if I was there a half hour early. I had no idea until my friend got there. I’m not sure what happened there.

I’m ashamed with myself for not going to Aqua e Vino before last night. Despite having an over population of Italian restaurants in Charlotte, none of them have been of worthy of recommending or worth going back. But then I had dinner at Aqua e Vino last night. The wine list is solid, service good, and the overall vibe is nice, but the food is the star of the show as it should be. Every pasta is house made without having to pay extra like some places (that still baffles me). They showcase a full understanding of how to execute traditional techniques, like their foie gras torchon. Moreover, their play with local ingredients while being focused on making food true to the Chefs native country is inspiring. Every element of every dish was cooked perfectly. Cooking has become a lost art in most restaurants. And the crew at Aqua e Vino know how to cook. Sauces properly emulsified, pasta not over worked, gnocchi light and fluffy, even the desserts where well balanced and not overly sweet. Truly a special night.

One of the best dining experiences I've had in Charlotte. The food was excellent! Our waiter took the time to explain the menu and even through few fun anecdotes throughout the meal. If you're looking for a romantic place to take a date, I'd highly recommend Aqua e Vino.

The food was amazing, and our server was very sweet. We sat outside, which was amazing, but we didn’t feel neglected at all! We got burrata to start, we had gnocchi and ravioli as our main dishes. The seasoning and the portion were just right. The ravioli sauce was refreshing and minty. The gnocchi was fluffy and just dense enough. The only complaint would be that the peace almond tart we got was a little dry, but it’s not a big deal in comparison to the good food we got! I would definitely come back here again!

We went for diner and ended up having the tasting menu, $80 pp, although the final bill was $270. In spite of the price, I would recommend it, in our case for a special occasion. The food was delicious and I certainly was very full by the end. We will be back.

Food and wine was great, Marco was our waiter and was very knowledgeable along with great hospitality! Small dining area so be sure to make a reservation ahead of time to get a table

Tonight was excellent! We visited Aqua e Vino to celebrate a friend who was visiting town. Our waiter, Ben, provided top notch service and made recommendations on wine and food throughout the service. The Dover Sole special was 10/10 and highly recommend ordering if it’s on the menu. We will definitely be visiting again as this is one of the best meals we’ve had since moving back to Charlotte.

My husband and I just returned from Italy for the 2nd time and it reiterated how much we adore Aqua e Vino. This hidden gem is so authentically Italian that it rivals the restaurants we ate at during our travels. Gabrielle and his staff create a special experience for their guests with their intimate space as well as amazing dishes and wine selection. By far, my favorite restaurant in or around Charlotte. Highly recommend!

Sorry, this IS REAL ITALIAN FOOD! After spending time in Italy, it is nice to find a real Italian restaurant. The food here is excellent, do not expect your Carrabba's or Olive Garden food (that is not Italian food), here food is made from scratch, from the bread to the desserts. The appetizers are incredible, perfect size and full of taste. The pasta is just like I ate in Italy, cooked perfectly and the sauces are exact. Second courses are often different and difficult to find, rabbit, duck, beef cheeks, but they are real Italian entree's. I always wind up having dessert, from fresh gelato to cakes, always super good! It is a small place so make reservations. The staff is very professional and nice, and the Chef is very friendly. A must go to stop for someone looking for real Italian food.

We made reservations for my wife's birthday here last week and brought our family. Aqua e Vino had been highly recommended by friends of ours and we absolutely loved it. The quality and authenticity of the food was incredible. Wine list was perfect and the price point really good as well. We loved how quaint the space is with a focus on food and service, not trying to be the biggest newest restaurant in the city. Can't wait to come back!

Have been here 2 times. First time end of summer - very tasty food and good service. Was impressed and fall in love with this place. Second time this weekend, when visiting Charlotte again, stopped for a dinner here. Unfortunately the service was 2/5. The food was ok.

I feel like it used to be really good. I cannot say that now though as this meal was pretty disastrous. I know restraunts have bad days but some things you can tell are endemic. Waiter was extremely nice but messed up the entire time. Food was dry and bland. The "Cornish Hens" turned out to be some very skimpy back legs. I would have been better off ordering frog legs. And my gf got her vegetarian dish. As it was restraints week I would never figured wed pay $200+ for just those meals and a bottle of wine (served us the wrong one and then lost the cork). It's not worth the price with so many good Italian places but admittedly, this does remind me of my grandparents. So, any Italian heritage people should try it and give their support. Hopefully they are back to their old 5 star ways when you do.

Unique menu, albeit limited, but the options are all delicious. We sat outside because the weather was good and the A/C was running a bit cool, though the cozy atmosphere inside was definitely appealing. Desert was also really good. Will be going back. Just make sure that you have reservations.

Aqua e Vino had a very friendly server. He was very helpful and humorous. All of his recommendations tasted very delightful. The seabass there was the highlight for me, it was cooked to perfection. The pork dish was slightly overcooked, but still had good flavor. Do not forget the desert, as their selections are all solid. If you are looking for a nice date night out, this is the place. As a side note, I highly recommend reserving before going, as this place is almost always heavily booked.

My fiancé and I are in town for the weekend- we both were blown away by the amazing food & wine, kind, attentive and accommodating staff and the allergy friendly menu! I have a lot of food sensitivities and they made everything very easy and enjoyable for us. Highly recommended for anyone and everyone who wants a 5-star experience!

Excellent authentic Italian food. My husband is born and raised in Italy and is very particular. This is not Americanized Italian fare. It’s the real deal. Cooked to perfection. A jewel in Charlotte. Incredible service and lovely ambiance.

👍👍 Skeptical. I visited this place because of a research on brunch places in downtown. Ended here because of the Google rating. Almost Worth it! The Italian sausage hash was really good.
