We went for the corn maze, excellent experience. Did it in one hour and fifty minutes. Well worth doing, two adults and we had a blast; I can only imagine the fun it would be with some kids! I might have to borrow some kids and do it again!!!

Went to a Pow-Wow put on by the Metrolina Native American Association of Charlotte. Such beautiful colors on the clothing, art and crafts. Enjoyed listening to the singing. Had fun!

Go check this place out, it's beautiful and a representation of what this whole area used to look like. They host events throughout the year, you can find them all on their website. They also have some beautiful Highland cows. 😍

We went to the Loch Norman Highland Games and Scottish Festival here at Rural Hill. We had a really good time, the place was set up well and parking wasn't too bad. They did charge to park, cash only, and we didn't have any but they let us go in, park, and go to the ATM, which was nice. The area is really pretty and it was a great festival.

Perfect weather to be at the Sheepdog Trials( 11/13/21). Fascinating to watch the handler and the dog work to move the sheep about. There is also a corn maze and a medieval trebuchet heaving pumpkins. There was also a " dockdog" competition where dogs leaped for distance and height into a pool of water. I recommend this family friendly event.

As always, the night maze is a ton of fun! Don’t forget your flashlight! They even have a beer/wine stand in addition to snacks! We made it through the maze in 23 minutes without going through a large portion of the corn. We had a blast and will be back again next year!

We had a wonderful time at the Amazing Maize Maze this year. The theme shaped maze, music, and clues made for a really fun afternoon!

I’ve only ever come here for amazing maize maze in the fall, but I love it! This is my favorite corn maze in the Charlotte area. I love that they have mailboxes scattered throughout the maze for you to collect a piece of the map at so that you aren’t just wandering aimlessly trying to find the exit like you have to do at other mazes. It’s very well coordinated with color zones that correspond to what piece of the map you’re in. I make sure to come every year when my parents come down to visit me. It’s $11 for adults and it usually takes us between 1-2 hours to find all of the pieces of the map and get out. I would highly recommend stopping by to do the maze!

My friends and I were in town for the weekend and really loved the Amazing Maize Maze! It was huge, well thought-out, and just a really enjoyable time with lots of laughter, wrong turns, and admittedly some cold hands and frustration when we picked the wrong direction multiple times in a row. Lol. Definitely bring a flashlight and comfortable shoes, and maybe some gloves along with your jacket - and prepare to keep your eyes open for the right path, because it might be really narrow! It was an excellent experience, and if we lived closer, we'd be back. It makes it even better that the proceeds go to something wonderful. What a nice time! Note: If your GPS takes you to a closed gate at first, don't lose heart. This happened to us, and we continued on that same road a little bit until we saw the actual entrance on the right. Tons of parking was available, and we could see food trucks and a fun wedding going on with lots of light and music.

Did the corn maze in the fall, it was fun. They have boxes hidden in the maze that provide pieces to the map. There are also crossword clues hidden in the maze. Staff were friendly and they had a couple food trucks set up. Also took a walk around the historical buildings and saw some highland cows.

This family farm is beautiful. We had such a great time with the maze. Took us about an hour to get through. They give you a puzzle with it where you collect pieces so it kind of forces you to get through the maze which is super fun. It's really well kept. At the end of it, we got to enjoy some ice cream and feed the highland cattle.

We went to the Corn Maize and had an amazing time! They do this every year so it's very organized. Lots of parking. We took a picnic to enjoy after, which is allowed, but the number of yellow jackets in the picnic area didn't allow for a leisurely picnic.

Nice corn maze. You have to find pieces to a puzzle as you make your way around the maze.

Came here fir the NC Brewers and Music fest. First time here. So far so good, camping is spacious, shuttle to the gate, Porta potties, chill crowd. Love the historic buildings.

Brewfest 2023 was great. So many brewers, great music, great beer, and the food trucks weren't too bad either. The weather cooperated and we had a wonderful time. I will be back next year.

Came to the farm to do the amazing maize maze which we usually enjoy greatly every year they have it. Unfortunately, standards have slipped. The maze advertised and depicted on the puzzle pieces are part of a completely different maze than what is inside the corn field. Many of the paths are nearly impassable, completely overgrown, and the map clues are worthless. Even the color clues don’t match up. Quality has sadly gone downhill, so save your money and attend one of their other fun events instead.

Went for the garage sale this morning. Only about 10 booths to peruse through. Homemade soaps, beautiful handmade wood items were my favorite. My wife bought 5 cookbooks for a buck, can't beat that. Also bought a big binder from another seller. Only took about a half hour to walk through, not crowded at 9:15am. Opened at 8am - closed at 1pm. Would like to return for a guided tour of the property and learn more about the buildings.

Not lit in the evening! Bring a flashlight, They dis not make it a point to have the flashlight info on all payment portal options when purchasing tickets. I fell and severely sprained my ankle due to this oversight and your incredibly unlit cornmaze. You guys might make a killing selling small flashlights!

Today the beautiful rolling hills and nature trails we the scene of the reenactment of the Battle of Charlotte from the American War of Independence. Such a lovely place with so many amazing and friendly people gathered to help the visitors glimpse a bit of what that day in the "hornets nest" was like. HUZZAH! HUZZAH! HUZZAH!

First off, honest with you that I think place sounds fun...I’m out of town. That’s why I gave you a 5 star. So? I came to run for the Great Pumpkin 5K. Unfortunately, event might not fit there because too many people, heavy traffic, late arrive, not enough potties, grasses way too wet, volunteers/cops not doing their jobs...terrible! Event needs to find new spot area.

🫤 Be careful visiting here. We stopped for about 30 minutes to check out the walk-in camp sites on a holiday weekend. It was very busy between people fishing, walking and boating. The area is nice, but we came back to a broken car window and stolen items. Apparently this happens fairly regularly h...

👍 Very nice, very affordable (with fed lifetime pass) campground on Kerr Reservoir. Very clean bathrooms with ample hot water. Has laundry facilities! Many shaded, waterfront sites. Many of the better waterfront sites do not have W/E. Plenty of boat parking. We will be back!
