This hotel is extremely ghetto. First off as a titanium elite member I sent messages to the property twice and was not answered until 40 minutes later. Then the property had the audacity to extend my reservation without consent after a mutually agreed upon check out. I do not recommend

The rooms are very nice. The bath tub needs to be replaced. I had to put my shoes on while walking on the carpet because it feels like the carpet is damp. That was so disgusting too me. Staff is amazing and friendly. Breakfast is trash.

Worse hotel I have ever stayed at. For starters, the entire 2nd floor smelled like marijuana. The room only had two towels. There was a used soap bar in the bathtub and they closed the kitchen early without advising guest. When we checked in they told us breakfast would be served until 10am but the lazy employee said she wanted to close it at 9 instead. I do not recommend this hotel. Save your money and go somewhere else. Customer service is not a priority to them. If I could give it zero stars I would.

This hotel was terrible, I had cleaning rags left in my room when I walked in, there were large visible stains on the furniture, the walls are paper thin and I had zero hot water in the trickle coming out of the shower. Do not stay at this hotel. Nightmare.

Very Dissapointing. Room smelled heavily of body oder. Heater smelled like it was burning when it operates.Rooms that face the highway are very loud. Hot water takes more than 5 mins to get to a temperature that you can take a shower. Staff are friendly and helpful, however the front desk clerk was coughing uncontrollably all thru breakfast. Not up to Marriott standards.

I recently had the unfortunate experience of staying at this hotel, and I must say it was one of the most disappointing hotel stays I've ever had. This establishment is old, dirty, and run-down, and what's even worse is the complete lack of pride displayed by the staff in their work. I had reserved two rooms for myself and a colleague, and the moment we entered our respective rooms, it was clear that this was not going to be a pleasant stay. In my colleague's room, the bed wasn't even made. It was as if the cleaning staff had completely forgotten to attend to it. There were no clean sheets at all, and the sight of an unmade bed was disheartening. My room was no better. The first thing I noticed upon entering the bathroom was the presence of two dirty towels, with one of them being a particularly grimy black one hanging right above my shower rod. It was so off-putting that I didn't even want to touch them. Those dirty towels stared me in the face every time I took a shower, serving as a constant reminder of just how badly this hotel is operating. I'm fortunate that my stay here is limited to just two days due to business commitments because I can't wait to check out and never return. The overall condition and cleanliness of this hotel are unacceptable, and the lack of attention to detail from the staff is truly disheartening. I would strongly advise anyone considering staying here to look for alternative accommodations, as this place falls far short of even the most basic expectations for a hotel.

The staff was very helpful and welcoming, breakfast was good, rooms were neat Dashana was our housekeeper, being able to purchase a quick snack and brew from the front was a plus. Convenient location only about ten minutes to the center city, also no parking fees. I would recommend this hotel ✔️

The staff was friendly and the location was great for driving. However I stayed for 4 days and 3 nights. I asked for Clean wash cloths and towels and was told the washing machine was broken so I wasn’t given any. The room has such a strong odor, like mold or mildew! The floor wAs so damp u could not take your shoes off unless you were in the bed. The bathrooms had rust stains. They did offer hot breakfast but nats also dined with us. Again the staff was so friendly and tried to accommodate but management is to blame for these issues. No turn over in the rooms never got my bedding changed in 4 days never got my trash taken out I had to do it myself. Even had to sneak and grab a wash cloth off a cart to get a clean one. For $400 plus dollars I should have had a better experience. For a Marriott brand I’m shocked and disappointed. I would love my money back. The sheets were sticky it was just horrible and it was a baseball game in town so most places were booked. I checked in after 3 but had to wait because housekeeping was a bit behind. The smell of the room I’ll never forget. I’m sure it’s black mold in those rooms. The floors were wet for days. On Monday they even had a fan in the hallway so something did happen with some type of water damage. Mold isn’t something you allow people to breath in and pay to sleep in. I wouldn’t stay here for some time. Maybe the health department should check them out.

The room smelled funny can’t quite figure what it was but It wasn’t pleasant. Sink was very slow to drain so was the tub. Needless to mention as per the picture they left a souvenir from prior guest. When I checked in I say around 8ish pm. I had to wait several minutes for someone to come to the front desk. Curtains had better days. The pool looked scary. I’m surprised how they have just let go on this property. The bathroom vent fan didn’t have a shutoff switch so if you are noise sensitive this would make for a terrible sleep. Marriott makes billions they can afford to show some TLC to this location. What a shame.

Hotel smelled like Marijuana the entire weekend. There was a loud altercation between teenage girls at 11 p.m. at night that lasted about 20 minutes. Tub had faint black marks, rust on shower curtain rings, dust in chair, pillow had yellow circles (signs of being old), and staff played music while cleaning rooms making it a little awkward to walk down the hall. Definitely will not stay there again.

The toilet was running when we first walked into our room. We thought someone had used it right before we entered. The toilet wouldn't flush all night so needless to say that was nasty. The bathroom door and walls were filthy and had lots of spots/stains. The ceiling looked as if it has some type of water damage. We questioned the lock on the door because it was loose and the flap part wouldn't close all the way. We felt so dirty and nasty here. We didn't even shower, we just hit the road early the next morning. This hotel was way too expensive to be this nasty. I chose this hotel because it was in the Marriott family and I thought most were nice...i was terribly wrong.

Only good thing about this hotel was the two male front desk workers (both young black males). They were very nice and professional during our interactions. If not for those two I would rate this a 1 or 0 star. Hotel needs to be updated on the inside....but that's out of the staffs hands. Things they can control....they ran out of breakfast multiple times before the listed end time. I asked for plastic wear to eat dinner and the front desk lady told me they didn't have any available cause it was locked in the kitchen...I call BS! An entire hotel and no plastic wear. On my first night I had to call the front desk 3 times due to noise and teens running and playing in the hallway between the hours of 12-2am. Nothing was done and I eventually went into the hallway and told them to quite down. I was there mid June and it was extremely hot and the pool was closed at least 2-3 of the 5 nights I stayed. Hotel is in a decent location. Overall I would not recommend this Hotel to anyone traveling with a family. Maybe a single adult staying one night.

Customer service was great at the front desk. Only 2 tiny pillows on a king sized bed... glad we had pillows in car. When asked said they didn't have any more. Room was clean and comfortable. Air conditioner was freezing when arrived (not a bad thing) however believe the drain was clogged as carpet was wet. Breakfast area was clean, plentiful, and service was on point. Quickly clean up when a group of guest left. With minor issues I would stay again

Very clean, generally pleasant staff clearly working hard to keep the place tidy. Unfortunately the trip was marred by a number of small issues the management should be on, but that were beyond the ability of the staff to fix. On arrival we couldn't get into our chosen room because the door locking mechanism was broken (possibly dead battery). The guy at the desk tried to fix it but was unable, so we were given a worse room... not ideal but not a dealbreaker. The room we were in had at some point lost the remote that worked the TV, so there was a replacement remote that did a few basic functions. We asked to see if we could get a proper one but they were unable to help us... again not ideal but not a dealbreaker. There was pretty significant road noise from our room, which kept us up at night. This was annoying but out of the control of the staff obviously. The breakfast in the morning was pretty good, but several common options at other Fairfields were missing, like peanut butter or jam for my toast, and the juice machine was broken. Management should be ensuring the supply and maintenance is better handled here. There were a couple of other small issues with maintenance and schedules that could have been better handled, but in general we appreciated the staff - management just needs to get the repairman and supplies out better.

We were here for a lacrosse tournament. The staff is nice but not helpful. We have a king suite with a pull out couch. Our room had 2 towels for 3 people. We had to ask twice for extra towels. Both times they told me that due to all of the people checking in, they have a towel shortage. The first time we asked, we got no towels. The second time, they were very hesitant to give me 3 towels! I'm sorry, that's Marriott's problem, not mine! Then I asked for quarters to use their laundry facility, but they didn't have any. They ran out yesterday and didn't get more. Our suite has 1 garbage can located in the main room, and none in the bathroom. Our refrigerator is not mounted in, and every time we open the door, we pull it out of the shelf. We also have ants in our room. This Marriott Rewards member is very disappointed and will not be returning to this location.

Stayed for a week for work. The place smells like mildew. It is disgusting. The entire time I was worried that I was going to get sick from breathing in the air. The entire establishment is very old and in need of renovations. They do serve breakfast which I never tried and keep the water machine full downstairs. The room itself was nothing special, though the desk space was good for me to work.

We were unfortunate enough to stay here for half of a night while visiting family in Charlotte. The first room we were in smelled like old gym socks so we requested a new room. The second room didn’t smell as bad but it was still pretty dirty. There was mold growing on the walls mostly in the bathroom, along with paint peeling and hanging from wet spots on the ceiling. The shower head had a hole in it that sent a steady stream of water onto the toilet. The staff was friendly though. I think they were even embarrassed by the hotel. We tried to tough it out but it was miserable. The absolute worst thing was there was some sort of club I’m assuming across the street at or near the gas station. It was blasting music with heavy bass that shook the hotel. We could hear what sounded like a DJ yelling on a PA system until well after 3am on a Sunday night (into Monday morning). I would rate this hotel as a zero if I were able to. It’s by far the worst Marriott we’ve stayed at, especially for the price. I’d go as far as to say it’s top 2 worst hotels we’ve ever stayed at in our lives, and we’ve stayed in some pretty sketchy places.

I enjoyed my stay here. I just wish they had a microwave in the room. The rooms are nice though. They are updated rooms with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash supplied in the shower. The beds are comfy and so was the other furniture. The breakfast was okay. It was hard to get waffle batter and I wish they served bacon. I would stay here again for the price. The hotel clerks and housekeeping staff were friendly and helpful.

Excellent experience with the front desk clerk Jessica. Exceptional service. Extremely satisfied with the service provided by her. Will definitely be coming back and recommending the business here to friends and family because of the service I received. Thanks for being such a good person ❤️

We had a really great experience. We were in the area for the Dirt at Charlotte weekend event. Hotel was really clean, great prices everyone that you came in contact with was friendly especially Charlotte the lady that took care of everything for Continental breakfast. Which was amazing, both days we were there. We will definitely be returning for another stay when we are in the area.

This is by far the worst hotel associated with the Marriott brand we’ve ever stayed at, and being Titanium members, we’ve stayed at many. The room was run down and dirty. The curtains were stained and disgusting to look at, let alone touch. The bedspread had a stain or makeup smear, the plaster was coming off around the air conditioning unit and the thermostat didn’t work properly - the unit never turned off. The room hadn’t been dusted, the battery on the clock radio was hanging out. The desk lamp cord hung over the front of the desk and the lampshade was crooked. We were awoken at 2 am the first morning by a chirping sound that took us 15 minutes to find/determine that someone had dropped their handheld radio under the desk and it was now emitting the low battery sound. The designated smoking section is right outside the front door which makes entering the lobby rather difficult if you want to avoid the smokers. The breakfast was without milk and orange juice. I could go on…… This hotel is truly a blemish to the Marriott brand name. The only bright spot was that the staff, especially the food service women, were very pleasant and friendly.

Very below average "renovated" hotel. Only thing renovated appears to be the breakfast area. Pool was down and probably still is while you are readinf this/and there was no warning as their website says its open! Rooms are tiny and ac barely works at all. Smells bad in rooms and hallways. People smoking inside in the stairway. Price is a little high for what you get thats for sure.

This place has a great staff, very friendly and helpful, however it seems the owners / managers don't want to invest properly into this property. There is a huge moisture problem throughout the entire place. Rooms are clean but all are musty. TV streaming didn't work. Won't be coming here again.

Worst US Hotel I have ever stayed in. I have 460 lifetime nights at a Marriott Property and this hotel is definitely the worst ever. The fact that Marriott associates its name with this dump is shocking. I was stuck here for 5 nights (company booked through a 3rd party that couldn't cancel). I refused the first room I was put in due to the mold smell and after moving to another room and smelling the same thing and seeing the mold on the ceiling I was told by the front desk that all rooms looked and smelled like the two I had been in. The whole hotel smells like marijuana regardless of what time of day it is. Mold on the ceilings that they have tried to paint over, puddles of moisture in the carpet and the thing they call a pool looks like a swamp. This building should be condemned and if you absolutely have to stay here they should pay you for your suffering.

Came to Charlotte for a funeral and was very happy with the location and our room. The decor of the hotel was updated, room was clean and the beds were so comfortable. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Will definitely stay here again.

Usual Fairfield Marriott. Good breakfast choices. The hotel has Happy Hour on weekdays (5:00pm - 7:00pm) which is very thoughtful of the hotel management. I was there on a Wednesday evening and had cheese board, celery sticks with dip, salsa and chips, and chilled beer. Mobile key on App worked well. There are 3 food places within walking distance: Jimmy John’s Sandwich place Dunkin Coffee Hickory Tavern: American Sports bar like

The color of the hallway leading to the room leaves a lot to be desired. It feels old and outdated with the dull orange color and this hotel is not that old. Really feels like it was built in the 1970s. Almost makes you dread opening the door to your room. However the room is inviting and the bed super plush. The window darkening shade was broken and in the middle of taking a shower the light went completely out and it is completely dark with there only being the bathtub and the toilet in that room. There's no fan so ladies if you worry about going number two and someone hearing it then I suggest you don't stay here because it echoes. It will leave you mortified. 😳
