This was a very inviting atmosphere. The staff were very friendly. The coffee was good. I also had a shortbread cookie which was also very good. I definitely recommend this place.

Ordered a cortado and an Americano…meh, fine, not great. Cortado was too hot, milk was too hot, which burnt the coffee. Place is kind of messy…boxes out on the floor, supplies stored out front. I want to give this place a better review but calling it what it is…average.

I just love this place. I grab coffee here frequently and it's awesome! It's locally owned, and their coffee is incredible. The prices are very reasonable and I'd say lower than most coffee shops. The staff are extremely friendly, welcoming and polite. The coffee and food are fantastic. I've had their pastries, bagels and more have all been delicious. The coffee shop is cool, just simplistic and stylish. There are plenty of tables for working or just hanging out, a side room that provides some quite space, and a couple lounge chairs. There is not outside seating. There is metered parking on the street with plenty of spots available. Always worth a visit!

When I travel, I look for places that I can’t find at home, I don’t want to go to the same Starbucks in every city I visit. This was a result of a Google Maps search and I have probably been there a half dozen times now. Good coffee and barista drinks, good snacks, good wifi and an interesting crowd in an interesting neighborhood. I will be back there when I’m back in Charlotte next week.

I come to Central Coffee Co every so often to treat myself and they always give great customer service and good coffee. I love how clean the place is and the prices are fair. Thank you Shay for the laugh this morning.

Been here a few times this fall. Nice place to get focused work done for a few hours. Wi-Fi. Lighting is more on the dim side, kinda nice. Chill vibe. Try the quiche, coffee, bagels - it’s all good. Friendly crew. Quick service. Note: Best for solo work or 2 people. As of now only one table for a larger group (4-5).

The coffee is pretty good & the staff is nice. This is my local coffee shop but I won’t be going back, there are too many inconsistencies with the hours. Usually open until 6pm and they will randomly close at 1pm and the only way to know is if you go there and it is posted on the door. The sign says because of staffing issues with I understand, however for me I won’t go back because I’m tired of walking there and it’s closed, just a waste of time.

This place is the heart of the neighborhood. The coffee is great and the casserole on Saturdays is the best. The staff is incredible. There was a line and they noticed me walk in. They handed me my daily cappuccino as I waited to pay.

Cute coffee shop! Good coffee and really good quiche. Cute stickers and merchandise. A good place to sit and study if you can find a seat!

One of Charlotte’s very best coffee shops & one of my personal all-time-favorites. I have eaten more slices of the incredible vegan zucchini bread than could ever be quantified! Nice atmosphere, incredibly kind staff and owners, and superb oat milk lattes!

The best Filthy Chai Latte I’ve had to date. My wife order matcha latte in almond milk with white mocha. No complaints over here. Don’t change your recipe and process. Happy customers from Atlanta!

Went to this location today and the cashier had no personality didn’t greet me. He acted as though I was bothering him. It’s really unfortunate that customer service isn’t a priority anymore. Blame it on COVID like everybody else !!!!! Will not be returning. The chocolate croissant I purchased was just threw in the bag not wrapped or anything.

This is what a coffee shop should be; comfortable, relaxing, a place you can catch up with friends, work on projects or just read. A great neighborhood landmark lacking in pretention, no corporate coffee chain feeling here.

My favorite coffee spot in Plaza Midwood. Their oat milk hazelnut latte is the best I’ve had in CLT. Super chill vibe in a walkable neighborhood

Always looking for a special coffee experience, this place was not it for me. My daughter just found this place. She had been a couple times with hopes that this may be the spot for us when I visit . I had a cortado and zucchini bread. The food surpasses everything else. Especially the staff. I got excited to see that the owners were mountaineers, (I am a mountaineer mom). Yet when ordering and initiating small chat in regards to such. They all seemed unbothered and could care less. It did take me by surprise that EVERYONE that worked there seemed miserable and unhappy . I even supported a second visit , after a 30 min drive , the coffee was good and the service was consistent with just , we could care less if you come or not. So with that being said, we will just take our average of 75.00 week coffee house spending habit elsewhere. Here is a little note to Central Coffee ..Customers still do come first somewhere. So my daughter and I will continue with our quest as it is obviously not there.

This is my favorite coffee shop in Charlotte. I’ve been coming here for about 8 years, regardless of all the new places springing up and the other options around town. This place has the perfect vibe: It’s a neighborhood joint with great coffee and chill staff and zero annoying coffee pretentiousness. Get a Central Shorty. It’s a small single shot latte with a hint of vanilla. Anna gets the 2019 Best Shorty Award according to me and verified by an independent 3rd party. FYI.

Had a blast at the location, the owners were there and we’re very accommodating. I also enjoyed getting to know a little bit about the family history of that coffee place. Highly recommend

Lots of coffee shops in this area feel more like bars than Cafés, especially on weekends. This one is almost always much cooler and laid back, and a great place to work or study (and a lot more reasonably priced). Perfect place to upgrade from Starbucks without ruining your wallet, and getting a similar atmosphere.

I love this little coffee shop. It is a short pleasant walk from my daughters’ place when I am visiting her. Everyone is friendly that early in the morning. The coffee is delicious. I treat myself to a scone or muffin which is also delicious. It is clean and well organized. A very comfortable, inviting place to sit and have my first, and only, cup of coffee.

👍👍 Skeptical. I visited this place because of a research on brunch places in downtown. Ended here because of the Google rating. Almost Worth it! The Italian sausage hash was really good. But my spouse ordered an avocado toast and it lacked flavor. Also, the coffee was legit; really good! Also ordere...
