Me and my wife been wanting to try this place out. It’s 5 minutes from our house in beautiful Mt Holly. I ordered the creme brûlée frappe. My wife ordered the banana bread frappe. We also got a chocolate cheesecake muffin. The lady made the coffees fresh in front of us. Everything was very delicious and the staff was friendly and professional. We definitely will be back!

Best coffee spot in Mt. Holly!! I always have to stop here any time I am passing through the area, because their frozen almond milk chai is the best thing I have ever tasted 💯!! The woman that owns the place is an absolute sweetheart, as well as everyone I have ever dealt with working there. Absolutely give this place a try, you won’t be disappointed.

Starbucks could never... I've been going here for more than five years and I don't even live in the town any more! Catawba coffee opened in one spot on main street and has since been able to move to a larger spot around the corner. The atmosphere is charming and cozy. The service is always polite and prompt. The drinks are creative and delicious! To top it off, the owner is such a sweetheart, I'm always touched when I come home for the holidays and she still remembers me. Go for the coffee, the culture, all of it!

If I could come here everyday I would. The coffee is amazing and they have so many flavor options and combinations! The whole staff is friendly and helpful, and I have actually become friends with them :) If you like bananas ORDER A BANANA BREAD LATTE!!!! It’s the best latte in literally the whole world and it’s just a 15 minute drive from my house. I love it here! They have garage doors on the front of the store that they open when the weather is nice and the vibes are unmatched. I would give 100 stars if I could!

I LOVE this coffee place so much. Extremely comfortable and cozy environment. I’ve tried almost all of their specialty drinks and they’re all very flavorful and amazing. The drink I got today (which I drank a little bit of before I took a photo) was a PB Mocha Frappe. Very delicious. I think my favorite thing to say about this place is definitely how accurate the descriptions of the drinks are. In every specialty drink I’ve tried, I could taste every flavor they listed on the menu without one being too overpowering. The employees really know what they’re doing. Would also say very reasonable price for the drinks. $4.25 for a very enjoyable and high quality coffee is absolutely worth it to me. Would recommend their cookies when they have them as well! Take a seat and finish some work, too, this place is perfect for just getting together with friends or studying for an exam.

Their chai lattes are the best I've ever had. I'm from Florida so I make a point to go every visit. Irene's chai doesn't meet the bar, it is the bar. It is the standard that I compare every chai latte to. I haven't found anything close at home. We had an iced & a hot chai latte w/ almond milk 😋

Catawba Coffee has been my favorite coffee spot for years. The owners and staff are always wonderful and the coffee is the best around!! No one else makes a caramel latte or caramel frappe like they do!!! The atmosphere is always great too!

Catawba Coffee is always a great experience! They have a lot of options and are always really nice. Sarah took care of us today and she was really nice and got our order completed fast. Highly recommend.

Ordered hot chocolate here before the annual Mount Holly lantern parade, it was very good. The place is located near the main street of Mount Holly, so there are many walkable interesting places around this coffee shop. The place is quite small and it may be not too comfortable to sit around for long, but the drinks are excellent. The staff is very friendly and they serve your drinks with happiness- unlike many others who just serve you robotically. Parking is nearby and there are lots of spaces to park. They have a restroom for the customers.

Easy 4 stars... Stopped by around 930am. Solid establishment. Will be back. I got the Loch Ness Mocha - chocolate, Irish cream, a hint of cinnamon. Awesome! Not too sweet either... Also an apple cinnamon muffin with cream cheese in the middle... 😋 Not only was it huge, it was wonderful! My 16yo girl got the Nutella Latte. She said it was just alright but she don't know coffee either... She did love her chocolate muffin with cream cheese. Live music on the sidewalk just outside. Great atmosphere!! Wait staff were fast, efficient, and polite. Were there about 25min and there was always a line! Stop by when you are ready to upgrade from the mermaid!

My family and I went there on a Saturday and it was awesome. The coffee menu is great and the food delicious but the owners are the best part of this coffee shop! Extremely nice and involved, they love their clients and remember them by name. That's not the kind of service you get everywhere!

Stopped in while I was in the neighborhood and I’m so glad I did! Sarah and Irene were super friendly and helpful, and really just kickstarted my morning in a super positive way. I got the “Bad Wolf” and it was delicious. I’m definitely looking forward to making it a routine stop whenever I am in the area.

There just is no other coffee shop for us! We love Irene and Joe and all the great baristas that serve our community of Mount Holly. Friendly faces, great conversations and deliciously crafted coffees a-plenty at Catawba Coffee. Great selection of baked goods too! HIGHLY Recommend!

Best coffee in the area. We have been here several times and each time the coffee has been wonderful. It is really flavorful and this is before you add any syrups. They also have a large selection of sugar free syrups. The fresh muffins are super tasty. The owner, Irene, is really friendly and makes a point to talk to you even when they are busy.

My Favorite spot for a nice treat. Service is always timely/friendly. The atmosphere is always cozy and the drinks and food items are THE BEST! I Often stop for my usual scones and today tried the London Fog! It stopped me in my tracks to turn and acknowledge once again how delicious it was. Thanks for creating such a special space to relax and enjoy a sweet quiet moment.

I was so delighted to find such a quaint little neighborhood coffeeshop near my house, and I really wanted to love this place, but STYROFOAM CUPS?!? Really?? I was hoping that they'd offer mugs instead of takeaway cups, but their only options are Styrofoam cups. I'd rather not be poisoned with microplastics while drinking my coffee or contribute to Styrofoam in landfill waste (it can take up to 500 years to decompose!) so I will not be coming here again and I cannot recommend it to others.

This is hands down my go-to coffee shop! It has an old-timey town feel and garage doors for windows. The staff are super friendly and accommodating. Their drinks include everything from original lattes to smoothies. Perfect spot to sit on the couch for a date with your girlfriend or read a book, to work at a table, or play on their tick-tac-toe board with a family member or friend. Only area for improvement would be a larger food selection, but I love their sticky buns. 😋 Highly recommend. 👌🏼

I have been meaning to leave a review for Catawba Coffee for a while… they are seriously the BEST! We moved to the area at the beginning of the year and having been coming just about every week since. It is such a calm and quaint shop, the employees are always kind and welcoming! My boyfriend has had his tried and true drink since the start and I have had fun trying different ones! My favorite has been the buttery pumpkin latte 🧡 I also really like the mocha lavender! Both drinks have the right amount of coffee/espresso, oat milk, and sweet for me! We also typically snag a muffin, scone or bagel while we’re there! So yummy too 😋 All in all we love this shop and will always come back to support and get our coffee fix! If I could give them more than 5 stars I would.

Not that great! To thick and weighed down , not balanced! Funky Stange Monkey with Oat Milk. The mango smoothie was also to over powering with Mango! Maybe sonthibg else would be better next time.

Great atmosphere, great place to study or have a meeting as they’re open long hours. Their coffee is not that good, it’s weak and has a nutty flavor. The service is also really slow - I feel like I see a new person working every time I go there, I don’t know if they have trouble keeping employees or what but service could be faster if they kept experience around.

Best Coffee around! My fiancé and I go a few times a week. The staff is always extremely friendly, and Irene is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. My top two drinks are iced Birthday Cake with coconut flavoring added and Bad Wolf (it sounds weird but I definitely recommend it!)

This coffee shop is my go to whether it be to have a little meeting or just to hang out and work alone. The coffee is always fantastic and the employees make anything I ask for. It’s always a friendly atmosphere and I can’t imagine going anywhere else!

Always such an amazing experience every morning. The ladies always take care of us and know exactly what we want. This morning I got some thing a little different and it’s by far the best coffee I’ve ever had in my life!!!

The place is very nice and clean, but I could not get my sea salt and caramel coffee that I have been looking for ever since I had at another coffee shop. I ordered something else and the drink was good. I will be honest, as a coffee lover I am not into drinks with 8 ingredients and a shot of espresso, literally, but if you are fine with anything plus coffee, I recommend this place. But I would like to see more options with coffee as the star of the show ☺️.

the service was amazing and the people were very very friendly. I ordered a cinnamon bun latte with oatmilk and i ordered it extra sweet (which was extra, important later). when i got it it tasted bitter like regular coffee. and i was too shy to ask for it to be sweeter and possibly be charged more. so i added 5 packets of their sugar and it made it 20% better. My boyfriend got a cappuccino and said it tasted like woodchips. such an obscure thing to taste like. but it is what it is.

This coffee shop feels like home. I have experienced nothing but warmth and above & beyond customer service from every barista. The owner truly cares about her customers, and you can sense that care every time you enter the shop. The coffee is amazing too!!!
