I live on the other side of town but my husband is having eye surgery across the street. I was so excited to see a bagel shop so I could eat breakfast and work during his appointment. When I entered I ordered and then when I paid ($8.00 for a bagel with cream cheese and turkey) I realized all the chairs and tables were upended like there was no seating. When I asked the cashier, who seemed to be a manager, if all the seating was closed he responded with a very smug displeased statement that no you cannot sit here and you cannot sit in any Bruegger's that all dining rooms have been closed since 2019. A simple no we haven't re-opened yet would have sufficed. I am curious why the company hasn't opened the dining room. Maybe if the dining room will not re-open you could clear out the tables instead of it looking like furniture storage. Maybe also a nice marketing sign from corporate posted explaining to customers the plan for indoor seating. I won't be back.

got a bagel from the Cotswold location. There was RAW meat in my bagel.. I’ve been trying to call to get a refund to no avail!! I can’t believe it! Bruggers has always been my place to go for food, but now I definitely will have to look at my bagels twice.

The bagels are delicious. The store is just dirty. Food establishments should be spotless. Seating area has been closed for months and chairs are just stacked up randomly. I assume this is a franchise and not a company store given the condition. Look around the counter base cabinet stainless legs, glass doors and glass case, flooring area where the bagels are cooked and it's obvious nothing is being cleaned daily. Employees seem disinterested about cleanliness and being attentive which is a shame since your bagels taste great, and you could do so much better. Hoping for change.

First, I have been coming here for 10+ years- never had a bad experience. That was until my boyfriend and I purchased a bagel last week and found some sort of plastic bread tie within the cream cheese on his sandwich. We understand that mistakes happen, so all we wanted was to receive compensation for the bagel. However, when we went the next day to notify them of what happened, a few employees (and the manager) acted very unprofessionally. No “sorry”, only “huh” and “hmm”… One of them actually said “Well I’ve been here for 10 years and I’ve never seen that happen” okay? What are you implying? I love this place but the costumer service is obviously lacking. It would be helpful if you didn’t treat your customers with disbelief and ask them for proof of the error when it is literally a $5 mistake

No cream cheese in a cream cheese bagel. The cream cheese should be overflowing. Instead, I got this. I would ordinarily let it go, but this is the second time this happened.

Just mediocre in almost every way. The lady working the register was excellent and nice to us. The guy making the sandwiches was trying to rush, why? The restaurant was empty, we were the only two people there. So because he was rushing: 1. He was rude 2. He had to ask me to repeat my order several times 3. He gave me an attitude when I asked him to remove some mustard, I'd already asked him for light mustard 4. He put mayo on the sandwich after I asked for no mayo, had to remake it and acted like it was my fault. Beyond the customer service problem the sandwich itself was obviously made with saving money in mind. There were two pieces of pastrami on an $8 sandwich, it was less than a quarter lb definitely. I don't ever have any problems at other Brueggers locations, matter of fact I'm gonna go and give the one on Pineville Matthews Rd 5 stars after I finish this. There's a reason this restaurant was empty at lunch time.

Come on. get my order wrong 40% of the time, then this is probably my last straw. Paid extra for toppings and this is what I got. Lol no more

I had an hour to waist in the area so I thought a bagel and coffee sounded good and a place to sit and feed my baby a bottle. Walk in and ordered quickly. Went and put my baby down at a table and walk back to grab my coffee when I was told the dining room was closed. I acknowledged it and went back to my child when I was yelled at by the manager that the dining room was closed. I told him I was getting my baby and swiftly left and will not be returning.

“We get mistreated & kicked out when they messed up” Jul 13, 2023 I would have given a 0 rating if I could! Worst experience ever! I was first in line to be waited on. The woman made me wait 10 minutes as she completed prior order so I waited patiently. It was finally my turn to order 3 bagels, plain as in no topping or toasting required. 2 other customers behind us got their orders & when I dared to ask how they got their orders first, she yelled at me that she was only 1 person. When she finally brought out our 3 bagels unwrapped and in a bag, she admitted she gave away our order! No apology so I dared to ask if I could get a free cup of coffee for my trouble, the manager on duty yelled back as to never come back here!!! Now the owner gave me a link. Well guess what? I did fill out a feedback the same week we got kicked out, gave all my contact info & asked them to contact me. I even got a code for 2 free bagels with purchase for doing that survey which I did not redeem. But no response to that survey. They basically blew me off for over a month & only reached out now that I gave them a bad review!!! No worries, I warned my friends about this mistreatment! Don't ever want anyone else to be mistreated. Plenty of great places to give them my money & loyalty!!

What happened? I ordered a bagel with cream cheese, onions, smoked salmon (lox) and capers at the Biltmore, Asheville location and what I got is this. A bagel with one onion ring. Not a sliced onion but one very small ring. Hardly any cream cheese and one caper on the enter sandwich. And to add insult to injury, the lox was very tiny and it didn't taste that fresh. I was very disappointed in the place. I never got a sandwich like that at Joey's bagels. If your volume sales are down, you need to look at what's going on behind the counter. Most disappointed people won't say anything. They just won't come back. I know I won't. I remember when you first opened. I was one of the first customers. I got at least 1/4 inch of cream cheese healthy slices of fresh lox, a lot of capers, and an entire slice of a jumbo sweet onion. So, again I ask...WHAT HAPPENED?

the Western Brisket I ordered had one bite of brisket on one half and all the veggies were chunky end pieces that didn't get sliced. Guess I should just stick to a normal bagel and cream cheese.

The “manager” is extremely rude and unhelpful and will throw a tantrum and call you names if you ask him for help. Very unprofessional and terrible service, clearly needs some training and social skills. It’ll be okay buddy we’ve all hated our jobs too

This is maybe my third time coming to this location, and each and every time the customer service has been abysmal. When you work in hospitality, it is even more cringe when you have to watch poor customer service, but I always try to give the benefit of the doubt, because I know how hard it can be. However, after a third trip, it become clear that this is definitely a corporate training opportunity. We stood there for a minimum of 5 minutes before some even said anything to us, and when someone finally did, the young woman pointed to her coworker (who had his headphones in) and said “So did he help you already, or what?!” Then when checking out, the cashier rolled her eyes when my mother simply asked said “what?”, to something she had asked her. Little did she know, my mother is hearing impaired, and when you don’t make eye contact with your guests and mumble questions under your breath, even someone like myself without hearing aids had trouble hearing her, but these kinds of actions make it very difficult for those with disabilities like my mother. I grew up with my family going to Brugger’s almost every Sunday, walking to the location in Cary NC, near our house. This location in Charlotte however, is far from maintaining those happy memories. So sad.

The the very overly zesty manager Tim who makes the sandwiches or bagels whatever he calls them is the worst manager I’ve come across in a very long time…being a store manager I deal with customers all day long and he is very inconsistent very rude and his attitude is horrible…whoever owns this location must be his family member because for him to still be in management is a slap in the face for those who actually like going to braggers and having to deal with him..all you see is awful google reviews about HIM!!!! This location should be boycotted until he is removed from management…

I love this location and never had a bad experience….until now. The black bald headed manager was extremely rude and more importantly rude to his employee. The way he was yelling at the cashier for a simple miscommunication on our order. I was even made about the incident because it happens but as a manager he shouldn’t have been talking to that little girl like that. This is very unprofessional and the rudeness he gave me was crazy. I requested a refund because I didn’t like his attitude or the way he treated that girl and he went all defensive yelling “That’s fine, that’s fine” Completely unprofessional

I come here all the time but today just wasn't the day...idk what's going on but every one was incredibly rude from the older guy working the register to the young lady with the nose ring...incredibly un professional...espically when there is barely anyone in here...and I already drive 30 minutes just to come out here when there are 50 other bagel places I can go to...real disapointing experiences

Today is Sunday 2/19/23 I went to Bruegger’s Bagels store # 3761 in the Cotswold Shopping center, Charlotte NC. I will never go there again the manager Timothy Benton was rude and I felt discriminated because I was black. The line was from the counter to the door chairs stacked up and only three people working. One employee was handling the line alone and the line was not moving. Then there was the manager Timothy Benton doing Door Dash orders what happened to customer service with the customers in front of you. So I said something and the manager was SO rude going back and forth with me instead of helping the young man with the line. Then all of a sudden the manager only helped the white people on the line and kept talking about me under his breath. Now I said something to him because what I saw made me even more upset. All he had to do was help with the line. I thought the customers in front of you was suppose to be important enough to handle the line first but it seems as though Door Dash was MORE important. I will drive all the way to Matthews for better customer service and a better manager. Sad! Horrible customer service. The stores appearance was not inviting either.

There is nothing I hate more than to show up 15 minutes before a store is scheduled to close and the doors are locked. Looking in the windows, the cashier was already counting the drawer. Please be open when you say you will be.

Fantastic customer service and super friendly team. Visited today and they couldn't have been nicer. Also, the bagel sandwich was shockingly good. Will be back for more soon! Highly recommend this location

Sad to say they no longer offer soups, not indoor dining. The staff did not make my order as requested despite reading it back to me. Literally no onions. Couldn't manage it.

Worst bagel place in Charlotte, their hours are so short and I got there 15 minutes before closing time and the doors were already locked. Why have hours that say your open if you let everyone go home more than 15 minutes earlier.

I walked in a placed my order. I was greeted and everyone was nice. I didn’t wait long for my order. The cashier was awesome. He was very friendly and very helpful. I would recommend the Cotswold location. When I arrived home my bagels were still hot and they tasted great. No complaints here and I will be returning.

👍👍 Skeptical. I visited this place because of a research on brunch places in downtown. Ended here because of the Google rating. Almost Worth it! The Italian sausage hash was really good.
