Opens every Thursday, Friday and Saturday and free admission during the 1st weekend of the month. Great little museum that explains the history of the area.

A great place to take the kids to teach them some local history! This place is a little slice of awesome. We went on a free museum day and my 8 and 10 year old loved it. They have a little scavenger hunt and we were able to discuss the things that the kids saw. It will not take you long to get through and with little kids, that is a good thing. It is not a big date night thing, but if you take the kids to the library, they can see the train and the museum and have a nice little morning or afternoon of simple fun activities.

A small, well-laid out museum that gives a concise history of Matthews. Certainly worth a stop, with a reasonable admission price and easy parking.

Fantastic place. Our guide was Michael and he did such a terrific job of showing us around and giving us great history stories about the Matthews area. The exhibits were interesting and the layout was great! Learned alot about Matthews during the visit. A must go for anyone in the area!

Didn't get much time to look at everything, but very cool things inside indeed! There is a woman who works there that is just awesome. If you like history, check this place out!

Very pleasant collection of local artifacts, arranged in a tasteful manner in a vintage restored home. Nicely done!

👍👍 Beautiful bridge with a nice display and parking area. There is a short trail, but it is not well maintained and doesn't enhance the experience, except to maybe get a pic from the river if you are willing to go down a somewhat steep hill.
