Went here with my sister and her kids. We had a great time here and I loved watching the kids enjoy themselves. There is so much to do and it's all so educational. I loved the little Cafe area. The rock wall was also a favorite. The underwater room was super cool. The upstairs portion has things they can build and race. I loved experiencing the smaller scale Discovery Place that was truly geared towards educational fun! I would definitely recommend going here and taking your children. You'll enjoy it just as much as them. They also have a program where if you get food stamps you can get in for less than $5 a person! It's something different than the park you always go to and like I said...educational. The kids loved the water area as well. Perfect for a cheap fun rainy day activity!!

The kids really loved this place and enjoyed playing in all the different setups, especially the cafe and grocery. Not so much fun for adults as you can imagine kids going wild and running all over the place. I also think this place is a bit overpriced. Admission for a family of 4 is over $60.... pricey to get trampled by a bunch of random toddlers and not having all exhibits/experiences open or functioning. Exhausted and underwhelmed by this outing.

Good place to take the kids for fun. A little pricey for what they offer especially that that many exhibits/experiences are defect/not functioning. The sound at the show (dental show - book reading) was too loud and not clear. Not very clean and not well maintained. Pretty hot inside.

Read this before going! It might SAVE your child a trip to the ER or Doctors! So although this place has an awesome set up, it is VERY, I Repeat VERY dirty and is SET UP for a ER run! As you would hope and think after dealing with a deadly virus( Covid) and monkeypox going around, that this place would take more safety protocols. I brought in only one Clorox wipe and that was a mistake. I begin to wipe down the first police station phone and my eyes were blown at how black my wipe got instantly! I really got sick to my stomach because I knew I was going to regret coming here. Once my wipe was all dirty I didn’t have much more of a choice. I went to the bathroom and got more disgusted. Not only is this place full of germs but there’s no staff watching or to disinfect something a child may have put in their mouth (which many kids are putting fake foods). It’s also $18 per person which I think is very expensive, there’s no sitting chairs for parents, and the fire truck and toys makes no sound. To add to that, they stop accepting people in after 3 and close at 4 pm; so there’s never a good time to go, it’s always crowded. They have lazy workers and that no steps to prevent accidents. Same day later, my child is coughing and next day we take him to the doctor. He caught a virus and now I have to keep him home to watch him carefully for the next 5-10 days. If I can caution mothers and fathers with children younger than 3, avoid this place at all cost!! I couldn’t imagine taking an infant here and dealing with the consequences after here.

Seriously the coolest place!!! My kids could've spent all day here!! My almost 2 year old and 5 year old had so much fun!! Lots of stuff to do for both ages. It's definitely pricey (almost $50 for 3 of us). Parking is easy in the parking deck next door. I bought our tickets online. We went on a Friday and got there around 10:30 and had to wait in line to get in. But the kids had a blast and we can't wait to go back!!

A great variety of different industries and departments. During breaks you can get to physical-chemical experiments, and performances on stage. Expect to spend 2-3 hours in this place

My 6 and 4 year old had a great time here on a Saturday. We've been to other children museums and they voted this one as they're favorite. The museum was clean and easy to navigate. Many activities for young children.

Great place to play with the family. They have little activities with kids here and there. Place is pretty spacious and we did not have a problem bumping into other kids or families. We’ll definitely have to keep coming here 😊

Lovely place for kids to play and learn... Different experiences... Only issue dat I felt was there is no cafeteria but yes there is a corner for eating snacks and three vending machines out of which one was out of order .. .. we had taken few snacks from home which we had there.... Washroom all well maintained and water fountains well placed... Kids are fully occupied here... Must take dem

6 a fun and interactive place for kids of all ages. My four-year-old twins in my 20 month old absolutely enjoyed. My 14 year old even enjoyed it as well. She jumped right in with the younger kids. It had fun at the water tables. I love being able to go grocery shopping. Check on pets, act like a doctor, and just have fun crying when we Had to leave.

Awesome place located downtown Huntersville. Reminded me of wanna do city in south Florida.. many different jobs and kids just be kids. The price for it was cheap also. They even have an arts and crafts section even puppet time. Well done great way for kids to use their imagination

We loved it! A lot of things for all ages too do & I just wanted to say how amazing discovery place is by offering EBT/WIC for 2 dollars a person I really appreciate it, but if you do not have that I believe it is 15 per person (yes adult and child) and The only thing I would suggest is more deep cleaning especially in the infant/toddler section I seen a lot of dust and the mirror inside of the play pen was very dirty. Other than that, AMAZING!

Such a great place to take your grandchildren. Mostly for children I would say under the age of eight. But if your child is a very creative child, they may like it even if they are older up to 10

My kid enjoyed it. We went on a weekend though. On a Sunday (to be specific). We arrived as soon as they opened up to the public (10:30 am). We did get tickets in advanced, online (which I highly recommend) and we still had somewhat of a wait trying to get in the door to have our e-tickets scanned. There were so many people there. Kids running everywhere with multiple parents in their wake. It stated to kind of calm down a little more after like 12 pm. It's was neat though. There was a lot for my kid to run around and see. They had wonder in their eyes the entire time which absolutely made the experience worth it but it was a lot. I'll admit. We would go back though. There are quite a few in the area. I believe each one features something different so next time we'll try out the next location. Seems like there's something to akways look forward to and they do a couple of different love shows each day.

My daughter and I got there early and it was nice, but soon after it got very busy and crowded. Other kids were allowed to roam without supervision so my daughter and I left. There was a nice place to stop and eat the lunch I brought with us.

My kids loved this place and didn’t want to leave! Great variety of activities to spark their imaginations and build their thinking skills while playing. We could have stayed the entire day if we had brought our own lunch. We brought light snacks and this place only has vending machines. If they added a small cafe this place would easily be five stars for me!

Wonderful place, kids enjoy a lot. They have Stage for the kids. Free parking, clean restrooms. They havr only 1 counter open for tickets and even if you buy your tickets online you need to wait at the line which might be long. We waited more than 30min being a member and this needs to be looked into as everyone is waiting with kids and they get impatient. Something they need to look into. Good luck if its cold.

Great place for younger kids. Lots of variety in activity areas and plenty to keep kids occupied for hours. Much better for younger kids than discovery place science. It is also very clean and the staff is very attentive. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.

Cute little place for kids, toddlers. My 3rd grader boy didn’t like it that much. But for my 6 years old girl, she wanted to come back!

We visited Discovery Place Kids with our 2 1/2 yr old grandson and he had a blast. The facility is very unique and is designed as though it is a small town. There is a firetruck with child size turnout gear, a bank, Doctor's Office, Cafe, etc. Each building/business provides kids an opportunity to explore, create and learn how things work through play. There was also a water table play area, cars to mechanic on, a brick factory and many other everyday items to explore. All the children there seemed fully immersed in this experience. Our grandson was nonstop for 3 straight hours and would have stayed longer if we could have. This facility is perfect for younger aged children. Your children/grandchildren will love it!

Great children's museum! Many different area's around the museum that are themed to teach kids different occupations or every day life. My toddler had alot of fun. They even had a puppet show.

Great place to let young kids run and learn. My 2 year old grandson can't get enough of this place. So many things to do. Definitely buy your tickets in advance online. It saves $3 a ticket.

Came here on a Saturday after hours for a kids' birthday party. I have never been and didn't really know what to expect. It's basically like a bigger version of a park for kids. They have a big play area, but the stations are more tailored to everyday things. For example, they have a grocery store, a post office, a doctors office, etc...where kids can just play and pretend to be a doctor, a cashier, firemen, etc. They have a water station, which I believe is for sensory play and a state where they do presentations and experiments. Overall, this is a great place for kids 8 and under.
