We absolutely loved our visit!! Went with really low expectations but wow! They delivered! They had animals we weren’t expecting and we’ve been to a lot of zoos and I mean a lot!! And every single enclosure we saw the animal inside all but one which was the little jerboa now that is unheard of at a zoo! We went to Chester recently and probably saw about 60% of the animals in the enclosures. So you know how many wolf enclosures I have seen and not once seen a wolf!! Here they were running about playing it was amazing!! And the leopard cat kittens were just adorable!!! But all the animals at axe valley were out and running about happily playing some sleeping in the shade as it was a hot hot day but they all looked so content! The staff too every member I spoke to was incredibly nice and friendly! Had a good laugh with both the young lady on the entrance with the awesome PlayStation tattoo and the lovely lady in the cafe who was baking. It’s truly worth a visit with great prices and lots of play equipment dotted round the whole park for the kids to play on rather than having them all crammed into one little space which we found amazing! The kids loved that they could carry bird feed around to feed the birds too!

We did not have children with us but this was a very enjoyable experience for 3 adults. we saw so many birds and animals that we had not seen before and apart from a couple of nocturnal ones everything was up and about most of them very active. We would thoroughly recommend this wildlife park to anyone with or without kids.

Absolutely loved this place. To me it felt very cosy and comfortable for the animals more like a sanctuary for them. Very friendly and helpful staff, lots of picnic tables around the park for you to sit down at and rest or eat. We were very lucky to see every single animal while we visited and couldn't have been happier. Such a lovely place to visit am dying to go back already!

My son had a zoo keeper day experience and it was amazing such a great opportunity for him! He was one on one with a keeper. He prepared and fed most of the animals, went in the enclosures, made enrichment activities for them and learnt loads. We have been lots of times and love it, loads of rare interesting animals and really feel up close and personal with the animals!

Great wildlife park. My family enjoyed it, it was easy to get around with my grandad mobility scooter and my mother who's registered blind. The staff throughout the place were so friendly and knew a lot about the animals 😁 would definitely recommend it for all ages 😄

Great day out and had a lovely time, we went as a couple and the day we chose was perfect. Most of the animals were out enjoying the sun, it was quiet and not many people. The people working there were fantastic, they were kind, friendly and informative. I got some really good photos because all the animals were very curious and seemed very friendly! We stayed for 3 hours and got to see the bush dog experience which was very fun. 😊 PS their little bakery is delicious, their Rocky Road, brownie and chocolate cake slice were some of the best I’ve ever had!

Small friendly, relaxed centre. Lovely staff. Easy to walk around and animals looked happy and well. Nice to sit outside and have a drink and opportunity to sit inside too.

Walking around and there's do much to see. Nature, birds and wildlife from all around the world, you can get ridiculously close to it. We had wild peacocks waking beside us, fed Guinea pigs with rods and lettuce, played on the umpteen slides and play areas for the kids, and the cafe was full of warm food and drinks. The gift shop is quaint and perfect for something to take back home. Perfect for the whole family. Parking is easy and free and there's plenty to keep you busy for hours. The only downside was that the cafe was so busy, there wasn't a lot of room to sit, so get there early for lunchtime.

What a great place for a lovely afternoon. We were there for 3.5 hours. They have a lot of small to medium-sized animals, especially big proportion on birds, not many big carnivores. The biggest is a lynx. A few nice play areas along the way for children to play and parents to have a rest. The price is just shy 50 quid for a family of 4, but I suppose the cost of living crisis is affecting everyone.

This was a nice place more attuned to younger children. My little ones both liked the freedom the birds had as they were wandering around amongst all the guests. You will see everything they have there in ~1-2hrs, we had a snack in their cafe and stayed for around 3hrs.

It may not be the largest Wildlife park, but all the animals & birds looked really happy & chilled out. Watch out for Peacocks trying to steal your lunch though... Staff lovely & welcoming, good informative talks. Cafe good value, toilets clean. Thought we would only be here 1ish hours but ended up being here 3&1/2... Really gem of a place.

Definitely a five star attraction. This wildlife park has something for all ages; a variety of animals, interesting talks and lots of equipment to play on. We could have easily spent the day here. Wonderful!

Awesome little place, very kid friendly and although it all seems on the small side it’s clear the keepers really care about the animals. Lots of parking and reasonable entry fee.

A small wildlife park with a lovely friendly atmosphere. Originally we visited for just a day earlier in the year, we had such a lovely day we decided to buy an annual pass. Throughout the day there are many things going on to allow you to interact and get closer to some of the animals. There was a nice variety of animals and all the staff are very friendly, there's plenty of places to sit and eat your own picnic and a cafe serving hot and cold pastries and pizza, teas and coffees are also available here. Over the past year there have been some new arrivals and it's clear the park is expanding too. Our first visit we spent about four hours there. Since then it's more than often between two to three hours. We can't wait to next year to visit again

Really nice zoo near axeminster. Small but large enough to be interesting for a few hours. A lot of adverts dotted around the zoo for ice cream which is really distracting if you have a small child.

Excellent zoo, plenty of kids play areas, animals are very interesting and the daily activities are more engaging than the traditional talks and feeds. Could do with some more toilets.

We visited for our son's 2nd birthday and he loved it! It was a Tuesday out of school holidays so it was quiet, and we did pre-book our tickets but didn't need to. There was a good selection of animals and some birds roaming free. His favourites were the meerkats, arctic fox, and squirrels. We saw baby otters and a baby alpaca, and there was also an opportunity to hold a water dragon. Plenty of play areas and there was a cafe and toilet facilities (with separate baby change). A great family day out!

This place was a hidden gem fell in love with the dessert cats my god was they cute.. they had so many different animals some I have never seen before. Its not huge but it did take us a whole afternoon 12-5 to see everything. We really enjoyed it.

Smaller than expected, we were hoping for a full day, but it wasn’t enough. It’s fine, but I am used to bigger places, maybe I caught it on a poor day because the animals weren’t active or were inside? I will go again next year & hope the experience is better 😊

Stayed in Axminister recently and decided to come visit because the other half loves animals. Great little park, lovely atmosphere, really reasonable food prices, good staff, nice selection of animals for such a small place and when we visited it wasn't overly busy too (was just outside of school holidays though so that contributed I am sure!) We liked it enough that we actually came back again towards the end of the holiday opting to choose it over going somewhere else new. Lovely place. Wish it was nearer to where I actually live so we could go more often!

Fantastic little wildlife park. Lots of animals, lots to see. Plenty of little picnic areas and play areas for children. Good for all ages. We were impressed enough to write a review!

Better for younger children, once we had seen all the animals we left after an 1hr 30 mins. There were play areas, but my teenage child has outgrown them.

This is a cute little wildlife park. It's about £14 to get in. I saw several wild cats and some baby peacocks that I hadn't seen before. It's quite flat, and some of it is wheelchair/motability scooter friendly, but not all of it. Parts are gravel and parts are grass.

Fantastic place. You can get up close to animals better than other zoos. Lots of opportunities to hold animals like snakes, Guinea Pigs, African Snails and Preying Mantis. Others too but those were the ones we held. They have big and small animals from the above mentioned to Maned Wolves, Ostrich, Zebra's and Lynx's. Well worth the visit and free car parking too! Spent at least 4 - 5 hours here tho if you don't go to the talks then you could do it in 3.

Had an amazing visit here with my partner and another couple of our friends whilst staying in Lyme Regis which was only a 10 minute drive. We were a little worried that it was going to be really just for kids but I was completely wrong. It’s definitely for all ages and we had a great time. So many birds and animals to look at. The best part about it, is how close you can get to the animals. Definitely recommended 😁

There are quite a few animals here! Some were not in their enclosures (perhaps it was too hot on the day). Impressed with the space that the animals have to roam Some of the birds are able to free roam around the park which adds to the experience

Great place for a day out with the family. Lots to see and do. They do love talks throughout the day. We got to hold a snake . Nice play area for the children. Benches around the park so you can take a picnic.

Been here twice now and it's always great. A good variety of animals and all of them seem happy. They have some animals such as peacocks roaming the grounds but they are friendly and do not disturb you if you are eating. They have talks and meetings with the different animals which are informative and fun. Will definitely be coming back again when I'm in the area

Lovely friendly place. So many animals all happy and cared for. There were some I had never come across before. The staff were great at caring for the animals and guests alike. Doing all they can to teach us to help preserve the lives of all animals.

A great day out for families with younger kids. Interesting variety of animals and birds, set in a sympathetically landscaped park. Good to see ducks, chickens, peacocks and guinea fowl roaming free...

Great wildlife park. It has a nice variety of animals and they look like they are well kept and looked after. The children play area is also cool, good for a sit down with an ice cream while the kids play. Beautiful place with friendly staff!
