I tried this place for a takeaway for the first time on Saturday evening. Asked for a small fish and got a fish that would have been called a medium size in any other place. Tasted great!!

First time we've used the fish bar and it won't be the last. Parking area just off main road. Premises spotless. Service excellent. Fish was very good quality. Portion size admirable. Be aware the large chips portion is, well, large. Will try kebab offerings next time.

Went to Nick's for dinner tonight. Friendly staff and good service, but the food was not up to the usual standard. The chips were quite dry and the large cod was even worse. The batter was hard to cut and the fish inside very dry, we had to have a glass of water to keep our mouths moist. Sorry Nick but the fish was no where near your usual cooked quality and with it now £7.70, fish dinners may be off the menu for awhile or we may have to go elsewhere.

We have been going to Nicks for some time. Most of the time the food is gorgeous. But of late it is hit & miss, so much so today I felt I needed to put on a review. The cod batter was very thick but not tasty & there was minimal fish. In fact the batter was fairly hard to cut. Even if the prices was lower I'd still have been very disappointed. But given how much things cost now it's very unsatisfactory.

The best fish and chips i've had in the midlands bar none! great service, brilliant food and reasonable prices. You can't ask for much more than that!

Probably visit this place once or twice a month. Very friendly staff and excellent fish and chips. Prices have definitely gone up since the major refit, but still good value.

Great fish and chips! Way more chips than I needed. Service speed? I'm a bit impatient so I need to look at myself.

Good fresh, non greasy chips, good portion sizes and reasonable price
