Most charming and gracious host made this stay the family wedding of a lifetime. Perfectly relaxing atmosphere in authentic surroundings with exquisite catering and all of our family’s needs taken care - if I could give it ten stars I would!! I think we all died a little when we had to leave........

We spent a week-end at the Château de Bouthonvilliers with my family (parents, grand-parents, brothers and cousins) and the house was big enough to accommodate all of us. Views of the Perche countryside are stunning and the house is a gem. Edouard and Alexia, the owners, did everything they could to make us feel at home. Alexia has a passion for horses and kindly let me ride her horse. I found it hard to believe that only hours ago, I was still at Heathrow airport... if you are looking for the ultimate experience of the "Art de vivre à la française", look no further! A conviction 5-star...

I stayed at Château de Bouthonvilliers for four days in 2022, and I was truly impressed with the venue, its history, and its visual beauty. Edouard and Alexia and their staff (including Hugo especially) were so pleasant and accomodating. The food was delicious -- I definitely ate too much!! -- and the countryside was wonderful. I could easily see this being a delightful wedding venue, or great for a gathering of artists, or a perfect place for a retreat from the bustles of daily life.

A really lovely place to stay in Dangeau France. The house can host up to 20ish people. It's relatively centrally located in the Loire Valley although it can take a while to reach places. This is mostly a result of how long it takes to drive around the French countryside in general. It's a great place to host a large group of people who want to chill out by the pool and drink a lot of wine

Gorgeous grounds, friendly and helpful hosts. The perfect blend of luxury and soulful authenticity;. Family ownership makes a huge difference—you can feel the love and care the De Verduns devote to preserving their ancestral home. We stayed for a few days in the gîte and loved it so much we decided to host our wedding at Bouthonvilliers! We know we made the perfect choice. The region is as rural as it gets—no flash, no tour buses, just real people and straightforward little towns. Bouthonvilliers may seem out of the way, but it’s an hour or so from pretty much everything, which is really unusual: Normandy, Chenonceau, Chambord, Blois,.... Making it the perfect base for a week in central france.

Fantastic house. And an ideal holiday destination for 18 or so guests! Lovely location too! Cycles available, perfect to cycle to the nearby small villages and towns.

The most beautiful, welcoming and relaxing place. Just wonderful. Superb hosts and pool.

We booked and paid a deposit to have our small wedding of 30 at Chateau Bouthonvilliers. Sadly the owners did not honour our booking. They tried to charge us almost £2000 above the advertised price we booked at. A really horrible thing to do to someone who is trying to arrange a small wedding. They then said they will let us keep the booking if we pay the 7 day rate for just 3 days. At this point we knew they were just trying to rip us off and we were forced to cancel the booking leaving us back at square one with our wedding venue. Its such a shame as the venue is beautiful and we were so excited to have our special day there. I hope no one has this experience as it has been awful.

We had an amazing week here with family and friends. Highly recommend. The owner was great - immediately helpful when we ran out of propane for the stove. Beautiful grounds, functional kitchen, got great use out of the pool and games. We went with 2 catered meals during the total week that were both delicious. Wifi barely worked the first few days then simply gave out. We were able to go into a nearby town and get a bit of work done from a local cafe, but don't plan on logging a remote workday here! Book this place if you want to unwind, disconnect and be in the French rural countryside.
