I recently visited Hempstead Valley Shopping Centre during my trip to Gillingham, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The shopping centre offers a wide variety of stores, ranging from popular high-street brands to smaller independent shops. The layout of the shopping centre is well-organized, making it easy to navigate between the different stores. I appreciated the ample parking available, which made it convenient for me to reach the centre. The cleanliness of the common areas was satisfactory, and the overall ambiance was pleasant. I found most of the stores to be well-stocked and the staff friendly and helpful. However, there were a few instances where I felt the customer service could have been more attentive, hence the deduction of one star. Additionally, while the variety of stores was good, I would have liked to see more options for dining and entertainment within the shopping centre. Overall, Hempstead Valley Shopping Centre provided a satisfactory shopping experience. While it may not have completely blown me away, it offers a decent selection of stores and amenities for visitors. If you're in the area and looking for a convenient place to shop, it's worth a try!

From the old days where there was a nice pond in the centre to today where the expansion is beneficial to the local community. We visit often as they now have a very wide range of food places to eat out and the shopping inside is very good. It could be a little better but it's a good centre to shop in.

Hempstead is big enough to get what you need, but small enough to do it without walking around for hours. Has a good selection of shops and stalls in the middle walkways. The toilets are down the ramp towards the basement car park. The outside now has some dining places which offer a good range for each budget.

Always like Hempstead for shopping even though it has changed over the years. Shop's have come and gone, but parking is at hand and I brought what I needed with no problems. It's clean and with a good 😊 atmosphere.

Hempstead Valley Shopping Centre in Gillingham is a great spot for a shopping spree! With a diverse range of stores, from fashion to electronics, it offers something for everyone. The ample parking and convenient location make it easily accessible. The food options are decent, though a few more dining choices would be appreciated. Overall, a pleasant place to shop and spend time with family or friends.

In desperate need of some more clothing shops and shoe shops. Has more than enough cafes and coffee shops now. Also Sainsburys need to bring back their changing rooms, I refuse to buy from there without trying on first as I don't have the time to keep bringing clothes back! The free parking is great, and is a nice place to go for a coffee catch up with friends, especially Jamaica Blue for their lovely oat milk coffee and fab Vegan cakes!

Very nice, clean shopping centre. Such a breath of fresh air in comparison to London's crowded, loud malls. Many businesses inside, fancy eateries, ur boots etc and huge sainsburys with Argos, with most helpfull staff. Hiw Mals should be

Variety of shops, from food and pharmaceuticals to clothing and mobile phones, travel agents, jewellery, etc. Parking, at peak times, especially on a weekend, is slow and busy. Leaving/arriving isn't as bad. The food restaurants are situated away from the shops but easy access. There's bus stops for public transport accessibility and a Sainsbury's petrol station.

If you can ignore the occasionally busy car parks, it is a great place for shipping, having a coffee or bite to eat. M&S, Super sized Sainsburys, Boots and many more shops to explore.

The centre has a good range of shops and plenty of parking. Nice to see most of the retail units operating and not all boarded up unused.

Small shopping centre but good choice of shops and free parking. M&S is well stocked and Sainsburys very good. Can also pick up small gifts and cards. Good facilities.

Hempstead isn't the biggest shopping centre but it has a good selection of shops. A few empty units but where doesn't these days. Good layout but could do with some more parent child parking, in or out. The baby changing needs updating and repairing. Every time we use it, it is slightly worse. But it is clean and accessible. Could do with some events during school holidays in the centre and out in the cark park as there is plenty of spaces free.

I was having a nice day Christmas shopping with my family, we had just visited Demelza charity shop where my children had been given a balloon by the lovely staff in the shop. My children were enjoying the snowman photo booth when one of them accidentally dropped their balloon on the floor, as they bent down to pick it up it popped. Que security manager Sean he come over told us to control our children as there was older shoppers who had nervous disorders, he wouldn't listen to us trying to explain what happened. He was very rude, our daughter is autistic and hates loud noises herself. This has ruined our experience so we ended up leaving. Picture was before everyone was made to feel worthless.

Absolutely great. My daughter took me to my favourite shop. Roman...made the most of it as I can't buy anything to suit me anywhere else bought several tops. And a cardigan..came away very happy. Xxx

A much improved shopping experience than it was a few years ago, and the center is still changing. If you haven't been there for a while, then give it a try. You'll probably be pleasantly surprised.

Nice shopping center with all the essential brands. I wish more big name brands could be represented, especially fashion ones. Mostly the same usual regular ones.

Good split of shops and services. Pretty much everything covered but not many high end outlets. Parking easy and facilities were clean

We like shopping here very much. There are lots of parking spaces available with many spaces under the large Sainsburys store, all brightly lit. The loos are very clean and the whole experience is very relaxing.

Nice place but a bit empty in the amount of shops vacant. Had a great walk around tho, liked the variety of stores too.

Great place to shop, very clean and tidy, good selection of shops very friendly staff in all the shops I visited, M&S, Costa Coffee, Poundland, Card factory, Greegs and Ernest Jones the jewellers. I will definitely be revisiting. Highly recommended.

Shops were fine, but the toilets were locked. Normally I'd give it a 4 (I slipped over on a spillage and broke my kneecap here 10 years ago and I haven't forgiven yet! 🤣)

We stayed at the Premier Inn. Juan at the reception told us about upgrading our meal plan. £25 pounds for breakfast and dinner....a bargain. Delicious food and friendly staff. Will be back again

It's 50/50 really as there's lots of options for food if you want to have something for lunch (cafes and fast food), however the selection isn't as good for dinner time. This is as the only real good options in my opinion are nandos and Frankie and bennies as the other options are either slow service, mediocre or fast food. In terms of shops, there's quite a few good options for general everyday things like Sainsbury's/Marks and Spencers for food and SOME clothes. Or the choices of stationary shops like the works and WH Smiths, and so on with other options. Only issue is that there isn't very good choice for mens clothing. There was once a Burton's there which closed which was a shame, but now theres no shops dedicated to mainly men's clothing. Having some would be quite nice due to how local the shopping center is. 👍 Still good though

I love this little shopping centre. I have been going here since it was the savercentre years ago. A lovely mix of shops although a wilko or home bargains would be nice buy the household items you sometimes need. Never have any trouble parking. It's not too big and not too small. Just right for popping into without much hassle.

I like Hempstead Valley very much the shopping centre is large, bright and easy to enter and stroll with many various and very nice shops. Several inside cafe's and various outside eating places just yards from the main building. Filling station and restuarants, also many free parking areas inside and out.

I genuinely like this place for nearly all of my purchasing needs, I just wish it had more clothing options for men, but that's the normality of all shopping places nowadays.

Sadly this centre is going downhill even though they're trying to revamp. By making their parking spaces all so much smaller, they've made it so much harder for pregnant women and those with children to park. They do have parent and child spaces, but not many and they're always taken, but the normal spaces are now so small that you can't open your doors properly to get a child out, and whilst pregnant I parked really far away to find a load of empty spaces, but they all filled in after I'd parked and I had to climb over my passenger side to get to the driver's seat at 8 months pregnant! Wouldn't be a problem if the spaces weren't so tiny. I feel bad for anyone with a tummy or a disability trying to park there. They have 2 Costa that are nice, and quite a few restaurants now. But I'd avoid the M&S restaurant now as they've switched the self-service tills which don't allow for food allergies as you cannot customise anything (geez even McDonald's let you customise), and their rude staff just say "well, you just can't eat here anymore". All in all a very disappointing last trip up to Hempstead, will be shopping elsewhere when I'm able to now.

This is a really good shopping centre to visit. A variety of clothes shops. A few too many cafes in my opinion. Shops that suit most budgets from card factory to marks and Spencers. 4 stars because I think they could do with another shop that sells children's clothes. Limited to Sainsbury's or marks and Spencers. Toilets are always clean which is great, plenty of places to sit down.

Easy to find somewhere to park, which is free. Not too far to walk to find lots of shops. You can travel straight from the car park into Sainsbury's which is convenient. I visited Sainsbury's, Claire's, Poundshop and Superdrug today as well as the Works.

Not really a good variety of shops and a few units empty including 2 large ones. Both banks have now closed. No many shoppers when I visited, there were far more people at the restaurant area outside the centre. The large Sainsburys and Marks and Spencer is really all this small shopping centre has except for its restaurants which are pretty much all outside.

Used to be far better when 'Nice Not Naughty' the ice cream stand was there. This place will lose lots of footfall now this has gone, I really hope this ice cream stall will come back.

It’s a pleasant place to shop. Not too big and has all the places one needs. No loud piped music. Yay!
