👍👍 This place holds a lot of memories for me. I grew up in Carnation Road, it wasn't a nature reserve back then and there was a playground and hut which put on children's activities up there. We called it the rec. Rede Secondary School used the area of cross country running. Residents used the car park... People often mention Great,

This place holds a lot of memories for me. I grew up in Carnation Road, it wasn't a nature reserve back then and there was a playground and hut which put on children's activities up there. We called it the rec. Rede Secondary School used the area of cross country running. Residents used the car park there for charity football. Houses had started to be built on part of the common, so residents set up a group to save what was remaining. Good thing they did. It's a green oasis for wildlife, a nice spot for residents to relax, walk the dog. And a good place for children to let off steam. Very important, especially now. If you're in the area, it's definitely worth having a stroll and looking around. Nice view over the Medway from the top. Enjoy.

I BELIEVE THE VICIOUS DOG HAS BEEN CAUGHT SO WE MAY BE BACK TO NORMAL. Park and Garden and Wooded Area. Great whether your on a walk with the dog or just to get good country fresh air. Always kept very neat and clean. Paths are well marked in fields and copse's. If you lucky you can find, like I have, the plucking post of a rapture. Not sure what it is but big enough to take a rabbit as seen by it's fur around the plucking posts. Can not fault it in ANY WAY.

Nice area of Meadow and woodland in Strood. Small carpark, plenty of benches to stop, rest and enjoy the view, poplar with dog walkers.

A beatiful and surprisingly quiet haven for nature on Strood's western fringe. And well cared for by a friendly group of volunteers! Well worth a visit.

Great little hidden gem. Lovely views from the top. Very clean and tidy with good paths. Takes about 20-25 minutes to walk around. Recommend keeping dogs on a lead as it's very close to the main road and there are no fences.
