Had a lovely time here feeding and stroking all the goats. Such a calm and relaxed place where you can stroll around at your own pace for as long or as short a visit as you wish. The bags of goat food are not expensive, and teas and coffees for £2 are an inexpensive treat. There are toilets and washing stations as well as hand sanitisers

An amazing place to come and experience being with rescue goats 🐐, there are literally goats everywhere, of all sizes and colours. You are able to feed and brush them which was such a lovely experience. Some goats have different colours collors so you know if they are able to be stroked and feed. The staff and volunteers are very friendly and knowledgeable, even knowing the goats names. The sanctuary is set in beautiful countryside and around some absolutely amazing tree 🌳. Requested to make a £4 donation and you can buy feed for £1. Overall an amazing place to come and experience ✨️

Lovely visit, a relaxed atmosphere to walk freely with goats who were relaxed and happy. Good cafe, great staff and it is very to see how well looked after they are. A must see! Perfect for adults and kids; some feeding opportunities too! not expensive and perfect for some fresh air!

Basically a large field with loads of goats to talk to our stroke of they want you too. Some have red collars indicating they are not that friendly. There is a small takeaway cafe to eat in small paddock beside the cafe and gifts shop which has lots of what? Of course goats. Definitely worth a trip if you are into goats or want to introduce some children to them.

A fabulous sanctuary for goats. We had such a fun time here, the goats are all such wonderful personalities. The onsite facilities are good and well priced. We didn't think we would spend a lot of time here but we spent a good few hours. Who knew goats were so much fun?!

This sanctuary is WONDERFUL! I had a lovely time here. Feeding the goats is fun - tickly, slobbery fun! The atmosphere is very calming and it's a great place to come if you need to destress. The tea room is reasonably priced. The staff are all very devoted to their jobs and the goats are adorable. I will definitely be back! The perfect place to go on a sunny day. Tip - wear old/comfy clothes so you can lay on the ground with the goats.

Very friendly goats and polite staff and volunteers. We went for a few hours on a hot Monday. Nice little shop and decent clean toilets. Has a feeding area and a large field full of goats and seating. We had a wonderful morning I left a donation of 14 pounds and spent 5 pounds on food for the goats. You can buy pellets or carrots to give them. Be careful not to feed the purple collared goats. Goats aren't very aggressive but the red collared ones are more aggressive to other goats. The purple ones are also aggressive to other goats. Would definitely recommend for a family morning out.

Just wanted to thank the team at Buttercups Sanctuary for having Ollie and I during our 'Goat Keeper for the morning' experience on Sat 1st July. We thoroughly enjoyed our morning and all the goats were so friendly! We were greeted in the staff room by the friendliest of staff who made sure we had everything ready for our busy morning. Our first section of the experience was led by Ben who was extremely formative, sharing plenty of facts about the goats and the background of each one we fed! We had so much fun taking in all of our surroundings during the tour and it was fantastic to see the expressions of the residents eager for their breakfast! Thank you Ben for taking the time to answer all of our questions and explaining each element of the routine so thoroughly! After a tea break we were met by Cameron who had fantastic stories of the residents while we groomed, assisted with medicals and prepared meals for the next day (assisted by the gorgeous tripod feline Shadow!). We then got to chance to choose a goat to walk however we were completely overwhelmed with choices so we had Cameron recommend handsome Ceasar (which I walked) and Voss (Which Ollie walked). We couldn't stop smiling as they joyfully sped around the field, rearing to eat the tree branches and finding left over snacks on the track. Some of our favourite goats included: Dougal, Hector, Albus, Winston, Maggie, Elvis, Bill, Pooky, Millie.. and the list goes on! There were so many lovely goats who captured our hearts. Thank you all again for having us, it's one of the best Christmas presents we have ever received!

Great place to visit!! It's lovely to see all the goats 🐐 roaming free. Just watch out for getting rear-ended by some. 🤣🤣 All in all, it was a really good day for me and my girls to visit!! 💚🩷💜

Absolutely amazing place! Volunteers are lovely, the goats are friendly and loved feeding them. My only wish would be homemade cakes in the tea room 😋

Lovely place to visit, the children will love it here, there is a shop/cafe for refreshments etc, but you can take your own picnic to eat onsite. The goats are well looked after & are very friendly, food is available to feed them. Beautiful parkland setting.

A great place to interact with all different types of goats. Special feeding areas where you can feed them carrots or pellets safely without being crowded. Purchase activity sheets to find all the different goats at the sanctuary and win a free bag of goat feed if you find them all!

A wonderful experience. Really is a simple pleasure to arrive at the Goat Sanctuary and walk around stroking the animals. Great that you are able to feed the goats once food has been purchased (at £1 per bag) although your hand will get completely slobbered over :-) A peaceful place for adults to come. Also great for children of all ages - there were some very small toddlers wandering around when I was here. Goats are colour coded on the basis of those you should not feed, those that might be unfriendly (although we did not have a problem) and those you can adopt. Despite some of the other reviews I did not feel under any pressure to make the voluntary donation on entry. A visit will keep you amused for 1-2 hours. A café onsite plus you can bring your own food - as long as the goats don't get to it!
