I visited here in October 2022 as part of walking the London Loop route around London. This was a great country park on a former RAF base with lots of reminders from it past life to discover.

Lovely visitors centre, shop, cafe & toilets. Very clean, covid safe and welcoming. Tarmac path suitable for mud free walking, buggies, wheelchairs & cyclists. Good signage, includes information on how to avoid the hill. Lots of benches, picnic tables and litter bins. Then there's the nature! Lots of side paths to go off piste and explore a huge area. The playground is interesting with traditional and adventurous equipment. Look out for pieces of history - remnants from the war, plus a lovely memorial to RAF Hornchurch.

Hornchurch country park is lovely for joggers, dog walkers and cycling. The paths are shared, so care is needed when cycling. If you looks closely you will find history showing the true origin of hornchurch airfield. They have recent updated a lot of the local signs, showing the history.

Brilliant place a park a large tarmac path to follow, a park for kiddies also walks through the farmers fields, a few lakes and a river. Also a very muddy route to follow that we loved but you need your wellies. Lovely scenic walk. Nice for kids to use bikes ect. Also nice for kids to explore the many war turrets.

If you looks closely you will find history showing the true origin of hornchurch airfield. Another one of my favourite places to go in Havering! There is a lot to do here for everyone and the classic Albyns Farm is only a 5 minute walk. There is also a cafe but it closes around 4 or 5 but mostly it is great and the perfect place to go on a day out Lovely visitors centre, shop, cafe & toilets. Very clean, covid safe and welcoming. Fantastic place to take the kids and animals. Lovely bit of hornchurch history, being the formal aerodrome from the ww1 and ww2 era, pillboxs and nature centre for refreshments etc. Definitely worth a visit. And it's free!!

Huge park. Each visit can be a new route, a new adventure. Great pond/lake. Nice playground, nice cafe. However, for such a large place there probably need to be play areas, more cafes, more restrooms rather than just the one.

Very beautiful park despite the busy surroundings, it is a great place for a long walk as it is so vast and open. There are multiple free of charge car parks available here, these are all quite clear on Google maps. There is a large lake within the park.

A perfect place for a cycling, casual walk or even for a serious trek. There is a circular trail with interconnections that can be decided as per the distance you plan to walk. There is a beautiful lake somewhere in the middle with different bird species like Canadian goose, Moot, Malad, etc very close to your walk.

Great park with a lovely visitor centre, open for lunch and hot drinks. In the park there are lots of play areas for the kids and also long walks for dogs.
