Emma let me charge my e-bike battery- many thanks for this. Have a beer tapas of three thirds of cask ale and why not have a suite of three pies too- pork, balti, cheese and onion. All can be served with a variety of chutney- excellent sweet tomato, mango is good but scotch bonnet I expected hotter. Excellent craft offer- some keg offers are clearly puddings in a glass like some beery Harry Potter sweet shop. Would go again. Locals say with jest that I was better asking Emma than Bob who is a tight wad- much laughter- they clearly love him dearly- very much deserved CAMRA award. If you are interested- I kept it local with my thirds. A Bollington Best was sandwiching a Red Willow Wreckless then another Bollington- this time a Long Hop- I could easily have a pint of each- gorgeous! Ps. Very very handy for the train station

Excellent real ale bar. Sister pub the Mounting Stone in Bramhall. Regularly changing beers from other breweries. Close to the train station. Well worth the visit but check opening times. Well hidden door to the toilets. Meet here with my old codger friends every few weeks.

It just feels like a real pub should. Great friendly atmosphere and good beer. Good staff and service. Plenty of room but cosy.

Great little micro pub with good choice of beers. My only complaint...half a shandy £3.10. (Apparently a pint is £3.80....work that one out!!!!) That's a rip off and caused because you are given a quarter of a pint of beer and a £1.70. bottle of Schweppes lemonade. Just get 2 litre bottles from Aldi and add it to the beer as needed!

Everytime I'm in Cheadle Hulme seeing family I somehow end up here at some point! It's such a warming place to enjoy a good beer! They have a great selection with regular changes! The staff are lovely and they are helpful if you're not sure what to pick..

Great little (and it really is tiny) real ale pub. Nice selection of varying and well kept beers. Pork pies if you're quick enough (you figure out if they're nice from that). Good selection of spirits too, wines are limited, but let's it, that's not why you go to a real ale pub. Did I mention that it's small though? It can get full very easily. By far the best pub in the middle of Cheadle Hulme if you want real ale though.

A great real ale bar, the location is perfect for the train station. The staff and regulars were very friendly and we had a good laugh at how well hidden the toilets are! The choice of beer is excellent and there is something to meet everyone's taste with a good variety of local beers on offer too. The outdoor seating is a great touch and was handy on our visit with the pub being full inside when we arrived. Will most certainly visit again when we are in the area.

Lovely quite small pub although they do have an upstairs. Nice vibe and friendly staff. Enjoyed it with some friends pre-meal.

Best pub in Cheadle Hulme. Same brilliant beer as the best (a.k.a. least bad) bar in Bramhall. Fantastic ambiance built up by Bob, Mary, staff and all the regulars. Reasonable prices for cask beer (Cf other places in the posh suburbs). Also a selection of ludicrously over-priced keg beers – I approve, hopefully the prices might deter people from drinking the ghastly stuff ?) Good to frequently see extreme under-age drinking. Sometimes 17+ years under age (better seen than heard of course). It’s also a very dog friendly pub. Known to most as either “The Tap” or “The Chiv” the pub is fortunate to have excellent premises and location.

Really popular place, especially when we went on Christmas Eve. Good drinks selection and staff were really nice despite being rushed off their feet. Good atmosphere.

I've never been here when this pub is quiet; a reflection of the quality of beer and friendliness of the staff. 5 stars!

We've been to the tap a few times (always really good atmosphere and staff are always friendly and welcoming). We ordered the new chilli banana food on Sunday. Too about 40 minutes to arrive however this is made clear on the menu and you know its made freshly made. Cannot recommend this enough! Food arrived in tiffin dishes which kept them hot and the food was delicious. Its certainly a brilliant addition to the chiverton tap!

Lovely selection of beers, and a nice space both indoor and outdoor. The outdoor space is a few tables for 2 out front, with a nice European feel. And you can hear the rail announcement so won't miss your train either

Pop in for a few every week if I can. Great craft beer, always something on to suit my taste (I like the stronger ales :-D). Comfortable and relaxed atmosphere.

Great little tap and bottle shop, good selection of cask beers, with even more keg. Bottles and cans in the fridges have a nice variety. Nice space in front and out back to relax and enjoy.
