I had my first cataract surgery at Chapletown on Saturday 2 days ago. My whole appointment went like clock work. Surgery took about 6 or 7 minutes and was painless. Wow, thank you for giving me back the precious gift of vision, I can see perfectly, your whole team are angels and look forward to having my second eye done. Thanking you all again xxx

Had a cataract operation at this clinic yesterday, 22/1/2021. Excellent service and care from start to finish. Would certainly recommend, and will return for any further surgery as and when required.

Very professional and caring staff. Had one eye operated on yesterday and, although it's a bit sore, vision has already improved and colours appear more vivid. I look forward to having the other eye done. Now had my second eye done and could not be happier with the staff, treatment and in particular the results. My vision is now perfect and better than it was 50 years ago. I can't thank Spamedica enough.

My dad is/was under the of SpaMedica care for cataracts. Great location and easy to get to just a min off the M1. Simple enough to find just look for the Yorkshire Water building. Dad has nothing but praise for the service provided. Dropped him off and they call when he is done (if it's a long appointment) never had bother parking up.

Visited this private hospital earlier this week with my mother for a first appointment to discuss cataract surgery. There is plenty of car parking with spaces quite near the door for those with mobility difficulties. There is a lift to the first floor where the assessment took place. Waiting / assessment time was approximately 3 hours. Staff were friendly and supportive. My mother was given a cancellation date for two weeks time for her surgery which I thought was really quick and efficient.

My Dad had his cataract eye operation here and the whole experience was fantastic. Staff were outstanding, so kind and professional. The building was spotlessly clean. A comfortable area to sit and wait with complimentary coffee and biscuits. Ample free parking close to the building. I totally recommend this facility to anyone needing this procedure.

After having cataract surgery at the local hospital, I don’t have enough words to express my thanks and appreciation of all aspects of my experience from referral to the operation itself. Very efficient helpful staff throughout. What a pleasant experience so different to my local hospital. Don’t worry you will be in good hands Thank you so much

Great service from the staff for the actual medical procedures but god forbid if you get there before 10 minutes to your appointment (due to the lovely 1 bus an hour schedule), its straight outside in the freezing cold and whilst its raining. Appalling place for surgeries and check ups location wise.

Had cataract op today 19/10/19 at spaMedica. Sheffield From the moment I arrived was put at ease The nurse Jayne was fab I was a little nervous and she put me right at ease. The majority of the staff are wonderful, the place is superb, well set up. Do not expect to be treated if you struggle with your back. I quote " We are a private hospital not set up to deal with people like you. We even get sent people in wheelchairs who we are not set up to deal with" Further if you struggle with masks as I do there is no provision for you to remove it and the staff do not wear face shields, only masks.

Had my first cataract surgery on 14th Oct. Excellent treatment from the moment I arrived from every member of staff that attended to my needs! Now looking forward to the other eye surgery in the future!

From entering the building the door man ,the staff and all the medical team outstanding. My dad was extremely impressed with the outstanding care and support . Cleanliness 100% Highly recommended

This is how a hospital should be run. No messing about, the first visit covered everything that was required and the second was the operation. The Surgeon was excellent as were the support staff, the whole operation was completed in just over 1 hour, .thank you

This is not an NHS clinic and should not be advertised as such. You charge the NHS and make a profit but to do so, you use all the referral systems paid for by the NHS, employ staff that have been trained by the NHS, and use NHS marketing.

My dad went here for a cataract pre assessment. Only to find out that he had a tear his retina. They had him back in on the monday and repaired the tear. Excellent service. The place is spotless ! Staff fantastic

I had my cataract op on the 19 March 2 say I was frightened is just a little they where so good can not recommend them enough so help full made everything easy 4 me 2 understand why I was so frightened I don't no thank you so much just had my eyes tested don't need my distance glasses any more you really are great people thank you

Apart from an hour wait at the beginning, could be due to many things, a really good experience. Everyone was friendly and helpful and the whole procedure was so relaxing I feel a sleep during the during surgery, brilliant.

Just had second cataract operation and both went very well. All the staff here were absolutely lovely making you feel at ease. The Clinic was well run very professional right from the initial assessment. The actual operation was over within no time at all. Post operative had no problems at all and looking forward to not wearing distance glasses. I would highly recommend SpaMedica.

Good streamlined treatment from referral to surgery. However, I did not like the last stage and I thought it felt rushed. I went straight from the surgery table and taken into a small discharge room and given the discharge information within 10 mins post surgery then sent back into the main waiting room fully discharged. I felt a little wobbly and feel that at this point there should be a small window to sit and relax for 10 mins maybe with a drink to come around before being given the discharge information. This part of the experience let it down for me
