Becherovka Schnapps museum was so cute and charming. Not to mention, the schnapps was outstanding, so good. They served it in these crystal shot glasses, they were gorgeous. We ate dinner downstairs in the restaurant, food was delicious. I was highly recommend a visit here!

The museum (or rather the visitors center) is one of the best I have been to. Everything is new and bright and aesthetic, there is a lot to see, most of the tour's parts are interactive, the tour guide was so nice and friendly and the bar at the end is very cool. If you're in Karlovy Vary, this is a must go. I would also mention that we are English speakers but we booked a Czech tour (because that's the only one they had at the time), but when we came and there were no Czech speakers in the group - the tour turned to be in English. Great experience.

We are disappointed with our visit to the museum. The site indicates that it is possible to visit the tour in Russian or English, moreover, without specifying a specific time. When we arrived at the museum at 12:30 pm, we were informed that there was a tour in English available at 2:00 pm. But they were warned that they needed to clarify whether members of this group would want to let "outsiders" in. We had to walk for 1.5 hours and then we found out that the members of the group were against our presence. Perhaps no one asked about us. So we did not get into this museum, since we had to leave for Germany. And one more problem - the toilet, the entrance to which costs CZK 10, cards are not accepted and there is nowhere to exchange change.

What a pity you can't get in there without a guide and the receptionist said at the moment they have only guided groups for German or Czech languages speaking people so we kinda had to leave without visiting it :(

A place always worth to visit 🙂 Just for a view bucks you can have a guidet tour with funny tasting afterwards. You learn plenty about the highly interesting history and background of this worldwide know liquor 🥃. Visiting the exhibition without a tour isn't possible. You should place a reservation a few hours before. Tours happen just a few times a day in selected languages. Student discount available and significant. You will get a discount at the shop with your ticket 🎟️. The shop offers the best price I could found in town and the guys there are nice 🙂. Free restroom 🚻 in museum. Cash (€, CZK) or creditcard 💳 possible.

(Translated by Google) The center offers guided tours of the museum in German and Czech. Unfortunately at the moment there was no excursion in German. The tour lasts approximately 30 minutes. Then you can taste the products and go to the company store to buy your favorite variety and souvenirs. I was very impressed with the tour & the visitor centre. They offered audio guides for us English speakers, but they explained the disgustation in English too. The staff were very enthusiastic and great fun. Plus they have special types of Becherovka there that can't be bought anywhere else. Interesting...

(Translated by Google) Nice excursion, lots of interesting things and historical exhibits from the production of this great liqueur. I can recommend the visit, it's relatively short (45-55min) and fun. Tasting is included in the price. And of course it is better to book a visit in advance. However, they have Becherovka in the adjacent shop quite expensive, even with a discount on tickets. (Original) Pěkná exkurze, spousta zajímavostí a historických exponátů z výroby tohoto prima likéru.

The museum is really nice. Specially the interactive museum where you can experience the smells of some of the ingredients and how it changes during the process. My only complaint is that I feel the visit is really fast and you only have a few minutes to enjoy and discover every part of it, so ylu have to oversee some of the parts. And I think it's a shame because the museum is not that big and they could allow you more time. Still the visit is really worth it if you want to learn a little about the history, making process, ingredients, taste and different kinds of Becherovka. Yess, the visit includes 4 shots of different Becherovka

There is only so much you can tell about a drink, út they do it in a very lovely way. Advise to pick up your Karlovy Vary Card, because this is one of the places you can visit for free with the card. A 2 days card is enough. The museum is nice, explains the drinks and you get a taste as well from all 4 types of Becherovkas. Good little gift store : you can buy all kind of merch from t-shirts to hoodies to limited edition Becherovkas.

When you want to learn now about how Becherovka was made, this has the place to be! Very nice museum with competent guides and a nice movie when the tour started. At the end we could taste four different flavours and got some background information.

Ein sehr interessantes und informatives Museum. Sehr nettes Personal.

They didn't have organised visits in English, only on a Sunday... They made us download an audio guide and follow a group talking on Czech. The guide didn't even wait for us to finish listening the audio guide! At the end of the tour it's a degustation but if you want to the unfiltered one you have to pay and... spoiler alert! Only cash... The guide gave some for free to some people but told my partner "no sorry, only cash..." And walked away. Really disappointed and I don't recommend it!!

Interesting place. When you visit Karlovy vary, I recommend visiting this museum. Absolutely! The workers are all very kind and they explain easily and professionally. In there, you can enjoy 5 senses. However, if you are not good with alcohol. It's not a good place to visit. They served samples to taste. It includes the price. Last, it's better to book to visit before going from the website. Then you can choose the language and time.

  • 4/5 Anna A. 1 year ago on Google
Good tour with tasting🤩 However, too short;( It isn’t enough time to spend only 5 minutes in the second room with history. There are 7 audio tracks but we only had time to listen to 2.

I want to inform everyone that the website of this museum provides incorrect information, at the expense of free seats in the museum. On December 9, 2022, according to the schedule, there were free places on the website for 15.00. without booking in advance, since there are free places, they came directly to the museum to the cash desk. at the cash desk we were told that there are no seats, why the information on the website is incorrect - they don't know. I do not recommend the site of this museum to anyone, you will waste time and money on a trip to Karlovy Vary!

(Translated by Google) A guided tour of the Becherovka Museum is accompanied at the end by a tasting (approx. 0.02 ml in symbolic paper cups) of the production of this once purely Czech company (including unfiltered novelty). The price for this tour is inadequate - it should definitely be worth considering the Czech management to reduce the entrance fee to a symbolic level, or allow free entry, as was the case in Copenhagen during a tour of the Tuborg or Karlsberg breweries, Otherwise, it's flying around the world, quite interesting, including marketing materials, an interestingly composed overview of herbs and spices used in production as ingredients. If you are bored in Vary, a visit to the Becherovka Museum is a welcome addition to your program.

Closed on Mondays!!! It is more like an exposition rather than a museum. You will have only around 5 min to watch movie about history of distillery, 25 min. to see mentioned above by me the exposition and 10 min. for four Becherovka liqueurd tasting. Very fast and not too much interesting place. The liquid tasting was the best part of it. Definitely over priced, owned by Pierre-Ricard Group. You can find a small shop with some souvenirs and spirits, and a coffee shop inside the building.

(Translated by Google) We were looking forward to the Becherovka Museum due to its modern style and installations. The result was disappointing. The museum is really small. It begins with a screening of a few-minute summary of Jan Becher, followed by a transition to the museum, which features two larger rooms and a few small ones one floor down. If there are so many people on tour as in our country (full hall), it is practically impossible to move in the museum and the lady who gives a short explanation is not heard. This principle is not only fun for the lady and the staff, but also for the visitors. There was a tasting at the end, we went through the museum and waited 10 minutes for the others to pass and we would all be ready for the tasting. This is done using paper cups with tastings, but they suck quickly, so they are quickly soaked. The tasting itself with an explanation was nice. At the time of the visit, the new Becherovka was also unfiltered, I think it was CZK 40 (or 20, I don't know) for an additional fee. We refused because a lot of people wanted to taste it. TIP: We did not have to pay the entrance fee with the Karlovy Vary card, it was enough to book a place in advance. (Original) Na muzeum Becherovky jsme se těšili u kvůli modernímu stylu a instalacím. Výsledek byl zklamání. Muzeum je opravdu malé. Začíná promítáním několika minutového souhrnu o Janu Becherovi, následuje přechod do muzea, která představuje dvě větší místnosti a pár malých o patro níže. To jsme odmítli, protože jí chtělo ochutnat hodně lidí. TIP: Pomocí Karlovarské karty jsme nemuseli platit vstupné, stačila rezervace místa předem.

Reservation needed to enter the museum. Even off season at a week day, so I you are dead set on going inside, make a reservation. We just ended up tasting the newer Becherovkas that we did not yet know at the cafe and getting some coffee. The interior hall and the coffee place are nicely decorated, the coffee was OK. 3 Stars for the coffee place which was average, it is a nice stop when walking trough Karlsbad. I do not rate the museum as we didn´t visit it.
