This
garden
was
created
through
15
years
of
effort
by
Mrs.
Jo
Haeng-yeon,
a
deacon
of
the
church,
and
is
also
called
the
Garden
of
Hydrangeas,
with
300,000
hydrangeas
planted
there.
When
the
garden
was
in
full
swing
on
the
site
of
the
church's
missionary
center,
Mrs.
Jo
Haeng-won
received
100
hydrangeas
from
the
monastery
and
planted
them,
which
was
the
starting
point
for
planting
many
hydrangeas.
Nowadays,
trucks
working
with
Poclain
are
moving
in
to
maintain
the
park,
but
when
the
site
was
first
built,
the
entire
area
would
have
been
overgrown
with
trees
and
vines,
so
it's
worth
imagining
the
hardships
they
went
through.
When
I
went
there,
most
of
the
hydrangeas
were
gone,
so
I
couldn't
enjoy
them.
When
I
went
there
at
the
end
of
August,
when
the
summer
heat
was
still
at
its
peak,
the
only
people
there
were
me
and
my
three
family
tourists,
so
when
I
walked
along
the
secret
forest
path,
it
really
felt
like
I
was
walking
through
a
secret
forest.
I
applaud
the
effort
to
create
this
vast
forest
of
530,000
square
meters.
There
is
also
a
church
in
the
forest,
so
believers
here
feel
like
they
are
traveling
every
Sunday.
It
was
a
nice
forest.
