Yongduam Rock, perched along the coastline of Jeju Island, South Korea, is a natural wonder steeped in legend. Shaped like a dragon's head, the volcanic rock formation stands proudly against the backdrop of the sea. The waves crashing against the rocks add a dramatic touch to the scenery. According to local folklore, the rock's formation is tied to a tale of a dragon that transformed into stone. Visitors can appreciate the panoramic views of the ocean and the rugged coastline from the designated viewing areas. Yongduam Rock is not just a geological marvel but a cultural landmark, weaving nature and mythology into a captivating experience.

Yongduam Rock, like its name, is in the shape of a roaring dragon that looks like it is springing out from the ocean. When the wind and the waves are strong, it looks as if it might fly away to the sky. Its total height above water is 10m and the underwater portion of the body is about 30m long. If you gaze into Yongduam Rock during sunset, you’ll fall under the illusion that thedragon is actually writhing. In order to catch a good view of the rock, watching it from 100m west from the rock is most advisable.

It's ok this place, not so much interesting to see apart from the volcanic rocks. You have to walk a little to get here from bus stop. And there are some local ladies selling fresh clam and shellfish around the rock area.

Nothing much, good to come if you have time... Parking fee is 500 won for a 1000cc small car...

Very scenic piece of coastline on northern Jeju. You can see quite far and it’s very picturesque. The rock itself is an interesting formation, with part of it hitting up quite dramatically. It all narrows to a point, somewhat like a jetty that gets increasingly smaller. Worth visiting while out and about on the coastline.

make a wish in this place is the thing that would recommend when you visit there. Also, this place is a good location to take a photo of the Airplanes! They will fly above your head so let's snap it!!

Our first tourist spot after arriving in Jeju. Its fine for what it is. Nothing extra special. A decent view of the sea, the small cliffs and the Ramada hotel on the North corner. Those carrying really high def cameras can catch the landing trajectory of airplanes over the sea every 2 mins. There is decent amount of parking space, and it's payable beyond a certain time period. We were waved by without any charges probably we spent like 30 mins there.

Beautiful place where you can walk down the stairs to enjoy fresh, take good photo shots. We came here on weekday so it was not that much people.

Around this area, there are some women who catch the shell and sell them to tourists. But they are really really expensive...I'm sure they are super fresh yet, I didn't want to spend 30000won for one shell or one abalone...I forgot which it was...but anyway, I felt it's pricy.

I could see nice scenery at there, but the place is not big. So it's good to stop by a moment while your traveling course.

I am puzzled by this one. Completely escaped me which part is the dragon rock... But it seems to be a very famous attraction as road signs were very visible miles away before we reach. Still puzzled though ...

Nice ocean view. Rock really looks like a dragon head. Can swing by to have a look. Not a must visit but if have time can go to spend some time.

disappointing attraction. looks like a dragon head? I'll let you decide. parking was somewhat a nightmare around this place. the location, however, was marvellous for plane-sighting.

This place was so so. There are so many better places to see while in Jeju. The only thing going for it is that it’s close by the airport and main city so if you are short on time consider it. Otherwise, take advantage of the many other places on the island which offer more impressive scenes.

The wind was so strong and cold if you walk down there, yet it's so soothing and the rock did look like a dragon's head. You can even see airplanes flew over. love the sound of waves hitting the shore

They say it looks like a dragon... I didn't see it. But the rock formations are pretty cool. Parking is free up to 30 minutes. You can be in and out in less than that.

No tickets You can just walk there

The sea water is crystal clear, and the scenery is good when the plane flies over the sea.

Interesting rock feature on a rocky beach in Jeju city. Certainly not one of the top sites on the island, but given its proximity to the city and the airport, I'd recommend stopping by here for a quick visit
