A lovely and charming pub with friendly staff and great food. The fire is usually on in the corner which makes for great ambience. We were especially fond of the pork belly. Would definitely visit again.

Firstly service was outstanding, staff are efficient , polite and fun. Food was a bit dissapointing. The beef in the sunday roast was not even warm and did have quite some fat. The yorkshire pudding spuds and veg were outstanding. My friend was dissapointed with his burger. I need to come back and try the lamb next time as it looked better than the beef from what i saw.

Best pub in London. Amazing selection of beers, great wines, delicious food and the pub is so cosy and beautifully decorated! Even the music is good! I would be here everyday if I lived closer

This was our second time here and we will definitely be going back. Staff are lovely, amazing clean, for the crazy new world we live in staff all wearing masks, hand gel outside toilets, inside and outside seating, heat lamps, easy access to wheelchairs and prams. We didn’t take our dog but there were dogs inside so must be an option. The menu and food was yum yum yum, we are all veggies so there was a limited selection which was a bit disappointing and no dessert menu which blows my mind, that’s the only reason I eat our 🤣 Price was not cheap, burgers are £14 but were huge so I think worth the money. I would highly recommend, and will definitely go back.

Good food good service and good choice of drinks. Fairly spacious both indoors and outdoors. Big garden with covered tables. Lots of beer and drink choices that are different from regular pub offerings. Service was nice and with a smile. Food was worth the money and location is nice too. Easy to recommend.

We were staying for a couple of days locally and wanted somewhere easy to go for food. We got easy and so much more! A fantastic, friendly pub with a great drinks offering and good pub grub. The staff were super accomodating and even gave us a heads up on a discount, as well as offering their expertise on beer. Plenty of Gluten Free options for both food and drinks for those that need it - I had the mussels and my partner had the salt beef sandwich with buffalo chicken wings on the side! A must go if you are in Brentford! Thank you.

A cracking pub snuggled off the main street in Brentford. You need to book Sunday roast. Three of us ate - we chose lamb, chicken and I continued my search for a perfect nut roast and went for the veggie option. Portions are big - Yorkshire puds are the size of a rugby players fist! Vegetables were lovely. The chicken and lamb apparently excellent. The nut roast looked great on the plate but lacked taste - quinoa was not a favourite ingredient in this. Having said, nice experience, not overly friendly but great ale and wine choices.

Possibly the best pub in/around Brentford. Dog friendly, staff were friendly and helpful. Most importantly the food was delicious. I definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a good local pub. Chicken skewers and Pork belly were excellent, chicken wings were good.

Liked the food so much we decided to return the next day. Everything was great, the atmosphere, the service and the drinks too! Great selection of beers. I tried a cider and a pale ale which I both enjoyed. I would definitely recommend the loaded fries with greens on the side. Apparently the ribs were delicious too but I’m a vegetarian so unfortunately I could not try them. This place is a 10/10!!! Please go

If you are looking for a chilled atmosphere, look no further than The Black Dog. The staff are lovely and very helpful. Serves the best ales and the beers are so good. The food is superb and I'm sad that I will not have that porkbelly dish for a while, but I will be back count on that.

An unexpected surprise, tucked away down a side street in Brentford this is a proper pub but with a really interesting menu with some unusual options , good beer, open fires , dog friendly. We ordered the Szechuan ribs which were really nicely spiced and couple of steaks which turned out to be excellent, with crunchy chips. Nothing boil in the bag about this place, It felt like food prepared with a passion, a great find and deservedly busy.

Amazing place in that lovely neighbourhood. I ate chicken wings, which were some of the best I've had. Plus the smiling and friendly staff, makes this atmospheric place we will definitely return to.

Excellent staffs! Food were lovely. Steak was a bit over cooked. The ingredients were not top notch but trust me, the chef seasoned well, the sauces were spectacular. We enjoyed our meal. :-) Nice ginger beer too!

Great pub with amazing Sunday roast. Was a busy pub luckily there was a table available which was reserved but staff really helpful and told us to take our time as the table reservation was cancelled. Highly recommend

A beautiful pub with a nice garden, lovely people and a fabulous drink selection. Would have been 5* but recently food menu has really decreased in quality - much fewer vegan and vegetarian options and rather small portions. But if you're just going for drinks, this is a great pub.

What an absolute gem of a pub to find in London. The staff are so young, vibrant, happy and helpful. This is an independent beer pub so the choice of beers is fantastic. The whole vibe of the place is relaxing and welcoming. The beer garden is amazing and they allow dogs. The restrooms are very clean. Could have stayed the whole evening if we didn't have plans as felt so relaxed.

Great food and amazing service! Lots of beverages to pick from. I go to black dog regularly but on the weekend you need to book

Blown away. Friendly staff, lovely guest beers that change regularly, and the food...I was shocked at the quality. Easily one of the best burgers I have had ever anywhere. Can't recommend this place enough (although it was rammed, so I suggest you book)!

Came for Sunday Roast - Hands Down best roast in London. Perfectly cooked beef and all the trimmings, fast service and impeccable presentation. Always has great beers and perfectly kept cask. Can't wait to spend evening in the garden when its warmer out.

Very friendly staff and good range of beer. A fan of coconut stout here. My dog seems to like it too. Will visit again regularly

My all time favourite local pub. From the staff being friendly & professional, the ambience is just amazing and the food I must say is top notch!..... We've recommended so many of our friends and they all absolutely love it!

Our first time here. After a long walk in the lovely autumnal sunshine, we stopped off for lunch. Timed perfectly as all the Brentford fans were leaving for the game. I had the burger for main which was fab and then followed by this decadent dessert - chocolate and hazelnut mousse cake. Delicious!
