We hired the private lounge...Great service great atmosphere, cocktails were lovely. Summer fiesta delicious. Food was OK.

Highly recommended! the food is delicious we had the seafood boil. The staff are friendly and welcoming, great ambience and interior design. It even has a swing for those Instagram moments, nice music too. Fun for a night out.

Rami, Ahmad, and Ana were amazing hosts for this quaint birthday celebration. Portion sizes and quality of food were amazing! YOU NEED TO TRY THE PURPLE DREAMS COCKTAIL & the saffron cake! 11/10

We went on a Sunday. I was a little surprised how empty it was. The waiters were great. The food was extremely delicious. Couldn't get enough if it. For me the only drawback was that since this place is in a residential area, the shisha area cannot have music. I really missed the music and vibes. We were the only people at the shisha area so the atmosphere was a bit boring but then again some people would prefer that. All food and shisha was prepared super quickly, great service. I think we will be back but on a different day

Absolutely amazing night! I had 30 people attend my birthday in the private area and ibrahim was patiently attentive. Honestly couldn’t fault him. Thank you so much for making my birthday manageable I really appreciate it!

I decided to try Makai last night to celebrate a birthday with a fine dining evening. The service was quick, but keeping in mind the restaurant floor was quite empty at that time. The staff was friendly and pleasant, in particular the guy who served us. We started with a portion of buttered deep fried shrimps, topped with a mildly spicy sauce, and a portion of salmon and avocado sushi. Both were nice. As a main we ordered a portion of king prawns cooked in a very nice sauce with potatoes and corn, and - for the special occasion - a lobster. The lobster was nice but, in case you have never tried one before, keep in mind that it contains a low amount of pulp inside which may not be worth the high price if you're looking for a bigger meal. The venue was nice as well. The only slightly negative point is the music was too loud for a restaurant area and a bit annoying at times.

The food was not outstanding and not a wide choice on the menu. The service was excellent, a special mention to Patricia, the polite, helpful and attentive waitress. The atmosphere was good, well decorated apart from the artificial plants. The dining area was closed, the bar area had a DJ, so we had to sit in the Shisha bar although we are non-smokers. The four stars goes to the belly dancer which was another story. You have to see to believe 🤭

Absolutely love this place my first time here and Patricia, Eesha the waitresses are amazing they catered to our need ensured we were ok and even played our songs. The bartender Sahil was amazing made the best cocktail ever captain shooter love the vibes is amazing coming back again. Food is amazing the lamb and wings and the mixed vegetables and spicy edamame.

Thanks to Paty and the team for your warm welcome and service. Cocktails were a blast, food was original, and the venue if a nice converversion of a historical building. Would recommend and visit again.

Wagi was an amazing server! He gave us the best customer service and was very attentive and friendly! The food and drinks are also very good here but Wagi was the cherry on top. (Sorry if I’ve spelt his name wrong)

We had an amazing time, the food and drinks were delicious, the atmosphere was vivid and cheerful with the belly dancer entertaining everyone! Visited Makai with a friend for the first time, we had cocktails and food. The cocktails are out of this world, the best I’ve had, definitely got the best cocktail maker. The food was delicious, especially the crab salad and prawn rockets! Sushi was also amazing and we also had a seafood boil with the butter garlic sauce which was recommend by Anissa our waitress. Anissa is lovely and very welcoming, will definitely want her to serve us again when we come back! Thank you for a great service 😊

I visited around the opening time of this restaurant / bar. The team were super friendly I stopped by for a quick drink I look fwd to visiting for food next time - it is mainly sea food. rumour has it the our doors space is set up for shisha now

One of a kind restaurant in suburban Brentford. The music is a little loud which could put some people off but we didn’t mind. The seafood boil was very flavourful and it’s not the type of dish which you normally find.

I had the king prawn boil in white wine sauce and it was gorgeous. Staff are nice but a bit green, cocktails were weak but overall a lovely night

I honestly don't know what all these great reviews are. First and last time visiting Makai. Food was oily and bland and the cocktails were strong but flavourless. The waiters are inexperienced and very forgetful regarding our orders. Overall, I would not recommend this to anyone! Not to mention the parking... not easy to find and definitely not park of the restaurant! This place looks great on Instagram but nothing special in real life!

Had such a great time Yesterday. Staff are absolutely amazing. They helped us organise a surprise birthday dinner for our friend. Customer service was 10/10!! The food was good. The mojito’s chefs kiss. Definitely will be returning. If you want to have a good time Makai is the place to go!

Last night we celebrated a birthday at Makai Lounge. The lovely waitress Patricia took her time with us as we ordered, informed us of the customer favourite cocktails, and answered any questions we had on the food. We brought a cake, which was brought to us with sparkles, making the moment really special.

Beautiful location with nearby parking. Friendly staffs and tasty food that doesn’t take too long to be served. A few mixup of orders for the group hence the selected rating. Could get a 5 star with improvement to the ordering and delivering the correct order to the right person which is very important for a big group.

Visited Makai with friends for a birthday. Was served by Ibrahim. He was very patient and pleasant. Service with a smile, recommended some of the tastiest dishes and even laughed with us when we made jokes. Music wasn't too our taste per se but overall enjoyed the night. Thanks Ibrahim!

Visited Makai after seeing it numerous times driving around the area and wanted to check it out. I was not disappointed at all, really nice cool vibe inside with a great selection of tunes playing. They also had a Dj there in the main bar area, which then led to the shisha area, such a vibe. Good selection of shisha's and the staff on hand are great and v.helpful. I would recommend visiting Makai 👏🏿

Aisha was pleasant and helpful. Food was really good - we had Lobster Linguine and King Prawn Broil. Quiet on Friday until after 9pm"
