😠 Please STOP selling reheated frozen food, especially the plantain, what’s that about?! For the price we’re paying, the least you can do is serve freshly cooked food. This place has potential but there’s lack of effort (even the way the onions & tomatoes are cut up show). People often mention good, Suya, spicy, shawarma, service, nice, suya,

I haven't tried the main dishes but I bought Kilishi from here, it was quite disappointing. It was not chewy, had TOO much peanut coating and not as spicy as the ones back home. Definitely not the best I've had, and £6 per pack is more than what other places offer.

Food was soooo underwhelming I’m so disappointed. The food came in paper which makes no sense to me. The portion size was ridiculous for the price. And no type of presentation whatsoever everything was just mixed up together in the bag. The rice was okay but that was the only okay thing. The tozo was wayyyy too chewy & had no flavour whatsoever. The plantain was underripe & the zobo was not like authentic zobo you get in Nigeria. And they gave me the wrong drink??

Chicken shawarma with sausage is my absolute favourite. Very Spicy and delicious. Bit pricey though.

Myself and my partner have been here a couple of times but unfortunately we will not be returning. It’s a shame because we are yet to find an African restaurant with good service and good food. The food is ALL frozen..including the fried plantain! We ordered Suya and Jollof rice with two malts. I have never ever ever got so sick from food before. I had the absolute worst food poisoning ever! This place cost me a week off work…my food poisoning was so bad it even started to affect my vision!! I’ve honestly never gotten so sick from food before. The Suya packs powder they give are great - the flavour is really nice but please beware. It’s a shame to have to leave this review but honestly we most certainly will NOT be coming back. tlbreviews xo

I originally ordered via Uber eats but it was so good that I went the next day to order again! I loved the tozo suya meal (meat, jollof rice and a drink) and ordered the chicken to go. Will definitely be back again when I am in town.

It's a very good Nigerian restaurant. Mostly take out. They have good jollof rice. The seating area is quite limited. Staff was very friendly. Highly recommended if you're into Nigerian food.

I’m a regular customer and often buy the shawarma wraps which I brought today for my family of 5. I also buy the suya from time to time and spare no costs when it comes to tasty food and ranked Alhaji Suya amongst my refined tastes. Unfortunately it’s disappointing that the food is no longer value for money even when you factor in the increase in the price goods. There have been 2 increments in price in a short space of time form £8 - £8.99 which I don’t mind paying however the standard of food is compromised with less filling than ever. It was more of wrap barely any meat or veg. Hence paying more for less. I certainly will reconsider whether I will continue to patronise this establishment.

I eat at this place religiously! As a Ghanaian, I am ashamed to admit that they have one of the best jollof that I've ever tasted. And the tozo suya is just out of this world delicious. A must try!

There is no place like Alhaji Suya. The meat is grilled so perfectly that it melts in your mouth. Chicken Rice Meal and Pies are my absolute favourites.I would definitely recommend Alhaji Suya - Peckham.

We got here late and it was only one shawarma left. The meat pie had too much pastry and little filling. I think they can do better.

Authentic northern Nigerian spicy grilled lean beef accompanied with tasty jollof (but can't be compared to Ghana jollof😃) and fried plantain. Not forgetting the tasty Torzo. Grilled chicken is also served. Don't forget to take your loyalty card your tenth purchase is absolutely free.

I normally come to the Peckham shop as I believe their food and customer service is way better here. However today the Shawarma's I ordered today we're not great at all! It was just very messy and very VERY oily... the whole packaging was soaked with oil and the shawarma's were not wrapped like they normally should be. I am not sure if the girl was new or unbothered this afternoon but they were not great at all. £25 gone down the train. Even the free tozo shawarma that came with the deal was an absolute mess. Not great, still slightly annoyed to the point where I had to write a review.

Terrific food from an unpretentious neighbourhood takeaway. We went with a Nigerian friend and he declared himself very impressed. Well worth seeking out.

Mr Alhaji your food is really nice but please chilled/frozen plantain is unacceptable

10/10 we tried 3 different types of suya and they were all moist and succulent, well seasoned. Just need a bigger space for casual dining/ seating

We ordered the lamb wrap which was spicy and very tasteful. The place looked very clean and the staff was friendly. I will certainly return to this spot when I'm back in London!

Alhaji Suya Thank you once again! You continue to make the tasty food that always hits the spot, for anyone that hasn’t tried food here you must! Especially Tozo Beef Suya and Jollof!

Food slaps but can be pretty inconsistent. They raised the prices over several year leading it to be mad overpriced. That being said I go there super regularly but mostly because it’s close to me. When I can be bothered to travel 5mins further there are plenty of options for half the price. Overall I definitely do recommend! Just wish there was a little bit more care put in by the staff and the prices reflected the actual quality of the food/ service.

I sometimes come here for lunch, and I really like getting the rice set meal. It’s a bit spicy but not too spicy if you can usually eat spicy food. It’s a fantastic local spot for a convenient tasty food.

Great and quick service at the til. Nice ambience in the shop. Shawarma was delicious. Defo worth the £. The Togo suya was nice but too small for the amount. The container fools you into thinking you’re getting a lot. Overall, very nice!

Best tasting tozo shawarma I’ve had to date. Clean, serves hot food and very good customer service in my experience. I will be returning for sure.
