This
is
our
first
Secret
Food
Tour
experience
and
an
excellent
precedent
to
do
this
kind
of
tours
more
in
the
future.
Joseph,
our
local
guide
have
been
lovely.
He
can
talk
about
diverse
topics
including
the
food's
and
the
place's
history.
And
though
he's
only
been
doing
this
for
2
months
(according
to
him),
he
knew
where
to
take
us
and
ensured
everybody
had
a
good
time.
We
went
around
the
Southwark
area
and
all
the
food
stalls
and
pubs
he
took
us
to
didn't
disappoint.
I
am
not
very
experimental
with
food
but
most,
if
not
all,
I've
tasted
in
this
tour
were
amazing.
Dosa
-
I
don't
have
a
photo
of
it
but
it
looks
appetizing.
It's
a
thin
batter-based
dish
that
originated
from
India.
This
is
the
first
time
I've
tasted
one
and
it's
absolutely
perfect.
It's
not
too
spicy
for
my
taste,
and
I
definitely
love
it.
Sausage
Roll
-
The
Roll
was
split
into
3
so
it
looked
small,
but
don't
be
deceived
with
how
filling
this
tiny
piece
of
sausage
roll
is.
It's
more
on
meat
than
the
pastry
and
it's
worth
the
hype.
Wine
and
cheese
-
well
most
of
us
know
how
it
taste
like
so
there's
not
much
to
say
on
this,
but
I
think
these
are
British-favorite
cheeses
and
they're
not
bad
to
go
with
our
wine.
Sticky
Toffee
Pudding
-
this
one's
my
favorite
since
I
have
a
sweet
tooth.
It's
a
sponge
cake
made
with
dates
that's
covered
in
toffee/caramel
sauce
with
vanilla
ice
cream
on
the
side.
If
the
description
is
not
mouth-watering
enough,
then
you
probably
need
to
try
one.
And
I
have
to
note
that
it
went
well
with
my
tea.
The
alcoholic
beverages
were
awesome
for
a
person
who
has
a
very
measly
drinking
experience.
I
don't
like
the
bitter
taste
of
alcohol
so
I
don't
really
drink.
I
mean
I'm
not
a
connoisseur
but
if
I
get
to
finish
them
it
must
have
tasted
good.
FYI,
I
finished
all
my
drinks!
Finally
the
Tiktok-famous
doughnuts
that
you
have
to
line
up
for.
This
one
I'm
not
too
impressed
with,
because
we
have
a
local
version
of
this
in
the
Philippines
which
is
much
less
expensive
and
less
hyped
but
exactly
tastes
the
same.
Anyway,
Joe
lined
up
for
us
to
buy
this
so
it
was
all
good.
Our
tour
group
is
a
combination
of
Americans,
South,
Southeast,
and
East
Asians,
but
we
truly
bonded
over
food
and
drinks.
Despite
coming
from
diverse
backgrounds
and
cultures,
we
actually
had
nice
conversations
on
different
topics.
There's
a
sense
of
familiarity
in
an
unfamiliar
place
and
being
comfortable
around
one
another
despite
the
differences.
Overall
the
experience
have
taught
me
to
be
open
to
new
things
and
to
people
that
made
our
trip
more
exciting.
Like
what
the
late
Anthony
Bourdain
said,
"Without
experimentation,
a
willingness
to
ask
questions
and
try
new
things,
we
shall
surely
become
static,
repetitive,
and
moribund."
This
tour
is
recommended
to
those
who
are
open
to
have
a
gastronomical
experience
guided
by
someone
who
knows
the
area
like
the
back
of
his
hand,
and
those
that
are
willing
to
explore
areas
that
are
not
seen
in
those
London
quintessential
travel
photos.
