I
suffered
a
knee
injury
playing
football
which
I
had
severely
underestimated.
After
visiting
A&E
the
following
day,
the
clinicians
advised
(after
some
prodding
on
my
part)
that
it
was
“likely”
an
MCL
injury
and
kindly
handed
me
some
crutches
and
a
brace
to
keep
on
indefinitely
until
it
healed.
Being
rightly
concerned
about
the
diagnosis
I
decided
to
get
a
second
opinion
once
my
mobility
had
been
upgraded
from
bedridden
to
somewhat
mobile
and
found
CBR
clinics
in
Waterloo
as
it
was
close
enough
to
my
office.
I’d
picked
whoever
was
available
on
the
Tuesday
during
my
lunch
hour
and
was
seen
by
Arran
Entwistle
who
had
assessed
that
this
was
likely
more
serious
than
I
was
let
on
so
he’d
kindly
referred
me
to
a
private
MRI.
Diagnosis:
complete
rupture
of
the
ACL
-
Yay
!
(sarcasm
obv)
I’d
read
enough
about
this
injury
to
hope
that
was
not
going
to
be
the
case
but
alas
can’t
ignore
that
this
was
going
to
be
a
long
and
painful
journey.
Thankfully
Arran
had
kept
me
sane
throughout
and
advised
/
supported
/
guided
me
in
this
journey
whilst
I
waited
very
patiently
for
the
NHS
to
refer
me
to
a
physio/orthopaedic.
This
took
a
while…
so
thankfully
I
was
able
to
start
my
journey
with
Arran
until
5
weeks
post
injury
I
had
the
NHS
send
me
over
to
a
physiotherapist
on
their
side.
Can’t
stress
enough
how
fantastic
Arran
had
been
and
my
gratitude
since
most
of
my
progress
is
thanks
to
his
early
involvement.
Highly
recommend
and
can’t
to
wait
to
finish
this
recovery
journey
which
fingers
crossed
will
be
in
the
next
few
weeks
or
so….plan
to
complete
this
journey
to
the
end
with
CBR
since
I’ve
developed
quite
a
lot
of
trust
with
Arran
and
value
his
input
and
reassurance
of
my
progression.
