I've seen some fantastic views of London in my time and I can honestly say, the view from level 42 at the Cheesegrater is one of the most impressive I've ever seen. Located right in the middle of the City, I saw incredible sweeping views of London from East and West. On the East side, you'll see the Gherkin, Tower Bridge and Canary Wharf in the distance. On the West, BT Tower, St. Pauls' Cathedral, the London Eye and beyond At 225m tall, it dwarfs its nearby skyscraper neighbours such as the Gherkin and Walkie-Talkie, which is amazing really given that those two aren't exactly shorties. Level 42 is at the Cheesegrater is an event space and can be hired out for such occasions. The big Cheesegrater is not open to visit normally. But it is open to visits on special days like Open House London which takes place every September. The Cheesegrater is one building you have to visit. If impressive views are your thing, the Leadenhall Building won't disappoint you one bit.

Pretty cool design building but there is nothing to do with cheese there at all. I see this as a missed opportunity. At least put some modern art at the bottom of giant prices of cheese.

Stunning views of London from one of the highest buildings in the city - the 41st floor as an amazing room for reception with bar and dance floor/ DJ / music band. Perfect for corporate parties or private ones. Everyone will be impressed by the views. The security checks are quick and the team on site very nice and helpful. The ground floor has always some seasonal activities going on. A great experience.

The Leadenhall Building - also known as the cheesegrater because of its extra ordinary shape, a wedge, angled at 10 degrees, as it appears to lean away from the dome of St Paul's, a sensitive response that preserves the view, while and providing many faceted rooms for a variety of business use. A powerful piece of architecture towering 224 metres above the city of London, 50 stories high, I've tried to capture here in photographs taken from the south bank looking towards the city.

Really nice free exhibition going on there at the moment with giant bubbles of light, evanescent.

One of the highest buildings in the City of London. Also known as a Cheesegrater. Astonishing view (37th floor on my pictures). As a fun fact, they used to have the fastest lifts in Europe. However, they had to slow them down because people were feeling sick.

One if the most urban architectural building in the City. I love that is in my running route every day. Make me feel a modern human being and give me a sense of home. Passing every day, my thoughts and reflection have a space to make me safe in this world and thankful for democracy I'm living.

Visited for a work trip and wow! Stunning views; when it's clear you can see all the way to Croydon. The lift is an event in and of itself - 24 floors in under 15 seconds is not for the faint of heart!

Architectural design, the most amazing workmanship in construction, and very fast and comfortable elevators. I spent some very wonderful times in a conference.

I ran up to the 42nd floor as part of the London Skyscraper Challenge and I have to say that the views were worth it. The river and south London really is there at your feet and on a clear day you can see for miles. That said the view from the roof is even more spectacular never mind how London looks when you then take a zipwire to The Gherkin. It's a fine building no doubt about it.

Nice building, didn't rate the food in Landing Forty two though. Overcooked for the most part. Waitress serving drinks was great, very attentive (thanks Louisa). No non-fizzy drinks though which was a bit odd.

Informally known as The Cheesegrater for it's distinctive wedge shape. This is a beautifully designed building and worth a detour just to see

More impressive outside than in... But still an iconic piece of architecture.

Nice views from the inside. As it's a corporate office, no public are allowed in without prior permission.
