The incinerator has become a tourist spot. Apparently it's historical. Since it's by the sea, there are a lot of tourists wandering around.

These two tall,ย rusted drums are now quasiย garbage bins by the disrespectful passerby. They were once boilers on a ship. They stand harmlessly at one end of the Kochi Beach, rather quietly without any fanfare and it might cause you to walk by. But pause a bit, take a step back and then go right next to them and look. They were once the powerful boilers that pushed a ship across the ocean. It would be great if the Kerala Tourism / Government could actually figure out which ship these powered, and more importantly who was on that ship! If it was the colonising British, it might make me reconsider itโ€™s worthโ€ฆ #justsaying

Honestly, it's really very sad to see such a historic artifact just left to rust away. It's usually crowded here so if you really want to see them without any crowd, pick a less rush hour to visit.

It is one of the attractions in Fort kochi beach. This steam boiler is part of a ship. There is lack of maintenance.

One of the main attraction in Fortkochi beach. Its the steam boilers of the cranes used in Cochin dry dock from 1956. Its mainly used in dredgers. Its now a considered as a historical remaining of Kochi. Some people are sticking their paper notices and ads on the boiler body which practically ruination of the historical scenario.

The boiler is a popular photo spot as it is close to the sea. A crane steam boiler was used in Kochi's dry dock for 20 years starting in 1956. Uses fuels such as coke, coal, and firewood. By the way, 1956 was the year when a communist government was established in Kerala through a free election, which is rare in the world, and it was built to commemorate that occasion. Maybe.
