While
passing
through
Cherkassy,
I
went
to
admire
the
beautiful
Shukhov
Tower
on
the
territory
of
the
water
utility.
And
I
didn’t
expect
to
see
a
composition
with
a
plumber
climbing
out
of
a
hatch.
I
can’t
say
that
I
haven’t
seen
a
sculpture
like
this
before.
I
met
him
in
Berdyansk,
but
there
Uncle
Vasya
crawls
out
of
the
hatch
without
getting
in,
and
in
Cherkassy
-
where
he
should
be,
at
the
gate
of
the
water
utility.
Sculpture
is
appropriate
here.
I
read
on
the
Internet
that
the
monument
was
erected
in
2004
in
honor
of
the
90th
anniversary
of
the
water
utility,
and
that
it
is
the
only
professional
monument
in
the
entire
city
and
region.
Next
to
the
sculpture
there
is
a
metal
hatch,
and
on
it
is
the
inscription:
“I
gave
you
water.”
The
construction
of
the
composition
was
inexpensive
for
the
company.
The
sculpture
of
a
plumber
was
welded
from
old
cast
iron
pipes,
and
then
a
layer
of
special
anti-corrosion
coating
was
applied.
To
the
left
of
the
plumber
there
is
a
pump
and
a
fire
hydrant
from
the
times
of
Tsarist
Russia.
These
rare
items
were
once
found
on
the
territory
of
the
same
water
utility.
They
were
not
thrown
away,
but
made
into
an
interesting
composition.
It
feels
like
the
city
water
utility
has
a
good
owner,
I
would
say
a
patriot
of
the
enterprise.
He
installed
fountains
at
the
entrance,
in
the
foyer,
and
on
the
grounds,
and
laid
out
flower
beds
to
make
the
surrounding
area
beautiful
and
pleasing
to
the
eye.
