The palace is very modern as it has been restored many times in the past 100 years. Apart from minor details, None of the interior, furniture, lighting is old, and there are no historical artifacts. There is some art, but it’s unremarkable and some authors not known. It’s beautiful but there is no “historical spirit” inside. It is a functioning presidential reception where official ceremonies are held, and many foreign dignitaries have been here. The palace is small inside and the available area for visitors is even smaller, the tour will take up to 1 hour. Worth a visit but nothing special.

Taste differs. Cons; requires a lot of stuff to maintain. The security check is required while you came in. The electricity bills can make your wallet empty. It is hard to park the car. You will share the building with Ukrainian president and tourists. Pros: beautiful park and China embassy are close.

Finally, you can see what is inside of that beautiful palace. You can't walk in on your own, you have to book a tour. Inside you'll find out lots about the history of the palace and its owners. The tour is quite short, approximately 1 hour. Although someone might find the story and tour itself a bit boring, I believe Mariyinsky Palace is definitely worth visiting. The tour is cheap, the place is not crowded yet while inside it is as luxury as the Winter Palace. Plus at the end, you'll be able to have a walk in the back yard of the palace.

we couldn't go inside, so you can see the palace only from the outside. It's nice, great clean park is outside, lots of trees and people walking. Nevertheless, also lots of military and police walking around and parking green defence jeeps near.. But all in all very peaceful and worth visiting!

Kiev has many churches, monasteries and cathedrals now run as museums, but St Volodymyr’s Cathedral is a functioning place of worship where you can observe Eastern Orthodox services. These happen twice a day on weekdays (08:00 and 17:00) and three times on Saturday and Sunday (07:00, 10:00 and 17:00). Easy to spot for its yellow facade, St Volodymyr’s is the mother cathedral of the Kiev Patriarchate of the Ukrainian Eastern Orthodox Church. The architecture is 19th-century Neo-Byzantine, and many of the frescoes were painted by the feted Russian Romantic Nationalist Viktor Vasnetsov. When the St Michael’s Golden-Domed Monastery was pulled down in the 1930s the relics of St Barbara were moved here, where they remain today.

The building is protected by the fence, so you can't come close to it. But even from far away this palace doesn't look special. The area around it is busy and overcrowded, especially on the weekends. So, this place is nothing special and I don't recommend going there intentionally.

Magnificent and monumental building that shows an ancient Kyiv history. Bright blue color and the stars on the side towers makes me fell like I am closer to the Heaven!

Beautiful and ancient Christian Orthodox Church.

A beautiful cathedral, inside and out. The exterior walls are a striking yellow, surmounted by domes of deep blue set with stars and a central dome of gold. The interior is filled with icons and murals. There are disputes over which section of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church owns this cathedral, but as a tourist it is well worth visiting. It was built in 1852 to commemorate the Baptism of the Rus.

The relics of S. Barbara are kept in Volodymyr Cathdral. You can find it on the right aisle. It was brought from Byzantine Empire in 1108 and kept in St. Michael Monastery for many centuries. Later, they were transferred to this cathedral.

Good old church. Still in active use. Beautiful paintings inside and frescos on the ceiling. Great piece of history.

Amazing cathedral with exotic building. Find a yellow painted cathedral like it is rare. The fresco painting inside it is heavenly. There are nice gardens around the cathedral and lot of open space.
