My wife and I love this get-away spot. Everything was fantastic , the owners and Cathy very friendly. Breakfast was outstanding! Looking forward to returning soon. Room was great. Really enjoyed the jacuzzi and especially the Sauna. Rocking chairs on large, shaded deck. And my favorite, the lake where I caught several bass.

First time visit for a 1 night stay but wish we had longer! We will definitely be returning here! Extremely cozy and romantic cabins! Rustic 100+ year old tobacco barns turned into beautiful rooms! Owners were very accommodating with last minite reservations!

This is our second time at Pilot Knob Inn. We love it. So convenient to biking and hiking. We have stayed in cabin 1 cabin 4 and the castle room. All are wonderful! Kathy is so sweet and accommodating as are the owners Jennifer and Will. This will be a yearly get away for us. This year we had recently lost a beloved fur baby and just needed to get away for Christmas Day. It was perfect. Thank you.

Great two-night stay for our 40th anniversary. We grew up working on tobacco farms, so staying in a converted tobacco barn was a cool experience. The breakfast was very good, with many choices, including fresh fruits. The location is near state parks and the Blue Ridge Parkway. The town of Pilot Mountain is only minutes away and we enjoyed other meals at local restaurants.

Husband and I made a spontaneous trip to PIlot Knob and found this Inn. It was wonderful! The room was really rustic and unusual, with all the amenities. So comfortable, with a fire place, a large deck with chairs overlooking the forest, refrigerator and coffee maker, oh and great breakfast! All the cabins looked special, private, and comfy. And Jennifer (the owner) and Kathy (the housekeeper and cook) were just super friendly, warm and welcoming. We are already planning our next trip back. The inn is close to dozens of wineries and various outdoor things to do. Try it - you'll love it!

The cabins are located in a very peaceful wooded area that has its own nice trails, and are conveniently close to the surrounding national parks. Very comfy atmosphere and the service (shout out to Kathy) is superb. Breakfast is delicious and comes with the reservation. This place embodies Southern charm and I look forward to returning for another visit.

What a hidden gem! I loved everything about our “Love Shack”! My husband & I stayed in the Love Shack for two nights! This was our first visit but will not be our last. My husband booked this for us for Valentines Day weekend & I kept a smile on my face the entire time! What I loved most is the quaintness of the cabin. The downstairs didn’t have a television which was the perfect atmosphere for great communication. We took walks to the lake while enjoying nature. Pilot Mountain State Park is less than a 3 minute drive from the cabin and has an amazing scenic overlook. The owner Jennifer is so accommodating and personable! We absolutely loved Cathy and the DELICIOUS breakfast she made for us each morning. I’m still craving the English muffins while back at home! If you are looking for a nice place to retreat that offers seclusion with a home feel. This is it. Do yourself a favor & book today!

My husband took me out of town as a suprise. This B&B was NOT your typical B&B! In the best way! The rooms/cabins are separate spaces but the breakfast area was a common space. The food and the ladies who ran it were AMAZING!! Would recommend a thousand times over!! We will definitely be back!

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at Pilot Knob B & B very much. We stayed in the Love Shack & it's absolutely adorable! The jacuzzi tub is the bomb & the fireplace is gorgeous. The staff was very accommodating and the property is extremely beautiful. The only downside was the bed..while it's frame was lovely, it wasn't very comfortable, and for us older folks that matters a bit more🙂

Check in was easy and convenient. Directv was available as well as DVDs to borrow from the gift shop. I also purchased a t-shirt from the gift shop. Place was extremely clean and thermostat worked accurately and quickly. The hot tub inside the penthouse suite was nice and clean. I couldn’t figure out how to turn the fireplace on, but I’m sure that was an error on my behalf, but not a deal breaker. Directly across from Pilot Mountain. The weather didn’t cooperate enough for us to explore and go fishing, but we will definitely be back. A few small steps up to the penthouse suite (had my husband lift my suitcase for me :) )

What a wonderfully unique stay at Pine Knob Inn. Very rustic but each cabin is nicely done and quite comfortable. The owners & house keeper were so nice and the breakfast was awesome. Marry all that with the location to golf and hiking, and it made for a wonderful fall get away weekend.

We stayed for a couple of days in the Cottage which was great. The breakfasts are the best - don't miss it if you stay here. They make everything to order and have a large fruit bar as well. I had waffles, eggs and country ham - Yum Yum.... Having a separate main bedroom was great for us, as she stays up later watching tv and that way it didn't disturb me when I wanted to sleep. The cottage is literally a house. It has a large deck/patio in the back that was great to sip coffee in the morning looking over the backyard and woods. We went canoeing on the lake as well - so relaxing, private and quiet. Pilot Mountain is only a mile away. We went up to watch sunrises and sunsets from the overlook and it was so gorgeous. Also only 20 minutes from Mt Airy (aka - Mayberry from the Andy Griffith shows). Pilot Mountain - the city - is also super quaint and enjoyed walking the main street.

We loved our stay at Pilot Knob Inn! Honestly it was such a great deal for the price. The ladies who run it are so sweet. The breakfast is delicious, the cabins are so quaint and cozy, and the area is beautiful.

Do not stay in the Penthouse suite if you want to use the hottub. Hottub was unusable . When we turned on the jets- all we got were lots of brown suds with an odd odor. Jennifer and Kathy seem to know about it... but it was not a big deal. Obviously they are use to the complaint. Our view out the large windows was a pool that had not been cared for in a long time. Was full of frogs and leaves. Our breakfast was lacking freshness. We had to split a hash brown the first breakfast. There were NO hash browns the 2nd morning. Bacon was diffentitly precooked some time ago. The bed is terrible. We sank to the middle... very uncomfortable. Slepted on the couch. The sauna is full of spiders. Unusable! Room needs a full cleaning. The creamer provided expired 10/22. Yuck! Most of all... if your going for rest, you want get any. The Hwy is too noisy. You can feel the vibrations... it's so close. But again- they were use to the complaints. We were told (bluntly) that "we didnt have to stay if we were not happy". Needless to say the online pictures and reviews are not current! I didn't see or feel any luxury! Pilot Knob Inn didn't meet our expectations at all. Very disappointing place to celebrate your 60th birthday... so we shortened our stay!!
