Heidi was an invaluable part of my prenatal and birthing success hands down! She is a wonderful educator and passionate support person. She spelled out every step to consider during my pregnancy in prep for birth, and took my and my partner's individual pasts, personalities, concerns etc. into consideration and addressed with informed support. Heidi was amazing during the big day(s), and I won't hesitate to rehire if I become pregnant again. She is a magical force, knows how to help any way you need, and your partner is just as considered which was super important to me.

Heidi was an invaluable ally throughout our birthing journey. She brought amazing energy to all of our interactions and created a very safe, validating, and non-judgemental space for us first time parents to have very open, transparent and helpful conversations. Heidi was able to successfully address our questions using her extensive knowledge & her own experiences. We felt more confident for labor/delivery because of all the resources and 1:1 talks we had with Heidi. And it’s obvious during both individual & group sessions, that Heidi has pulled together a perfect team to ensure her clients are seen, supported, and are the informed for their journey.

When we got pregnant, I expressed to my husband the want to have a very special birthing experience. I knew I would have to give birth in the hospital, due to insurance/finances so I told him I wanted to hire a doula to help us navigate the process. He was hesitant to say yes, but ultimately said, "If you think it will help you, then let's do it." We are both so glad we did. Heidi is such a gift to all birthing persons... from her incredible energy, endless wisdom, and willingness to be present as much as possible to her ability to have honest conversations and coach you through all aspects of the process. Truly, she is a gift. While Heidi was not available during my labor, she showed up when we got to the hospital and set up our space, made sure my husband and I were feeling okay, and did all she could before she passed the baton to her work partner... After a long pregnancy (42 and 2) and labor, I finally go to take my little guy home and had no clue how much of a mess I would be. The beautiful part about working with Heidi was that she didn't disappear after I gave birth, she was still just as present and maybe even more valuable for me postpartum. She helped me navigate emotions I didn't expect to have and guided me through some really difficult decisions regarding breastfeeding. I promise you won't be disappointed if you chose Heidi to be your doula. I will say it over and over and over until I run out of air... she is a gift.

I highly recommend Heidi for anyone looking for a doula in Charlotte. Heidi is extremely knowledgeable in all things pregnancy/childbirth. This was my first pregnancy, so I had no clue what I was doing or what to expect. Heidi was extremely helpful in navigating all of the unfamiliar symptoms that I experienced during my pregnancy and always responded to questions quickly. Heidi was at the hospital with me for my unmedicated labor. I was terrified and Heidi made me feel so safe and taken care of. She explained everything that was happening and made sure my birth plan was being honored. She was there with me the whole time (30 hours of labor) and I believe is the only reason I was able to successfully give birth without medication. Additionally, Heidi helps create a community of pregnant women in the Charlotte area and I have met a lot of friends because of her connections. I will definitely hire Heidi again if I decide to have a second child!

There are no words to express my gratitude to Heidi and Collin for helping me navigate my birth experience. I met Heidi when I was newly pregnant and new to the Charlotte area. I was drawn to Heidi because I knew she would be a strong advocate in a hospital setting, and could help me achieve an unmedicated delivery in the hospital. Perhaps the greatest gift that Heidi gave to me was her unwavering emotional support. She offered a listening ear whenever my anxieties would get the best of me, and held my hand through a challenging postpartum period. I will be forever grateful.

I am so grateful to have had Heidi by my side throughout my second pregnancy, birth and postpartum period; she is truly amazing. I immediately clicked with Heidi during our initial meeting. She is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about what she does, and will be there to support and guide you not only during your birth, but throughout your entire pregnancy and postpartum period. Heidi and her team of doulas were the best thing that happened to me in 2023, second only to my precious babe, of course! But I knew Heidi was the best before I even got pregnant. I was lucky enough to be introduced to her by one of her previous clients in 2021 and I knew since then that she would be my doula! She was the second person (after my mom) I called when I found out I was pregnant. Heidi is the most knowledgeable and experienced doula you will find in Charlotte. Her book, her course and her 24/7 support during my pregnancy were amazing but not even the best part of having her on my team. When it came time for my 32 hour labor, I had the support of not one, but 3 doulas! Collin and Carson were amazing as well. Just knowing that I had the support of these amazing women on my side for the birth of my first child gave me the confidence I needed to push through those 32 hours, including 2 hours of pushing. Heidi also provides a wealth of knowledge when it comes to recommendations for all pregnancy and baby related stuff, including chiropractors, massage therapists, acupuncturists etc. Lastly, I will say, my husband gave me a hard time about hiring Heidi throughout my whole pregnancy because he didn’t think it was a wise expense or worth it. After our babe was born, I got to hear those 3 glorious words “you were right!” But I’ll let Sam tell his story in his own review!

I simply cannot put into words how amazing it was to have Heidi on our team through pregnancy and bringing our second son into the world. Heidi’s incredible knowledge helped guide us through pregnancy, preparing for birth, and successfully completing a VBAC. Without her on our team, I can confidently say I would not have had the birth I so desperately wanted. Birth Story Academy (provided for free for doula clients) was such a wealth of knowledge even as a second time mom. It throughly walked me through all birthing options and stages of labor. I walked into the hospital feeling confident in my options and what was to come. Heidi expertly laid out this course so it is easy to follow and understand. With every phone call, text and meeting we had with Heidi, you could feel the love that she shows all of her clients. Myself and my husband never questioned that all of our choices were completely supported and that Heidi would do everything she could to get us to the outcome we desired. My only regret was not having Heidi on our team for our first son’s birth. Heidi’s love, guidance and support before, during and after provided myself and my husband with a truly healing and overwhelmingly positive birthing experience. My husband and I could not recommend Heidi enough! Her birth story academy course and book are excellent tools for planning your birth preferences as well as providing extensive education on the birth process and possible interventions. We felt empowered to make the best educated decisions for our family. Having a doula (especially Heidi) is essential for giving birth.

As a doula, Heidi is the FULL package, and then some. By providing a concierge-like doula experience, Heidi supports birthing persons (and their partners) throughout the entire pregnancy, labor, and delivery journey. The level of support, education, and guidance she provides is unmatched which enables her clients to go into the delivery room with confidence. Due to some unforeseen complications, my labor and delivery plan was forced to be altered; however, through Heidi's previous education, in person support and guidance, we were able to quickly pivot which led to the healthy birth of our son. My husband and I are eternally grateful for Heidi and she (along with her work partner Collin) will be the first call we make when we find out we are expecting our second.

I truly cannot imagine my pregnancy and labor without Heidi!!! She was so incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and emotionally present. Any time in my pregnancy that I felt totally out of my depth and scared, I would call Heidi and leave the phone call in a completely different place. Her years of experience and emotional intuition are very obvious. She is the number one thing I will remember about my labor, she was my fiercest advocate and incredible emotional support. My husband and I also prepped for labor and delivery by going through Heidi's course Birth Story Academy. It was self paced, detailed and walked you through making your birth plan. As new parents, we both felt prepared and comfortable after going through the course. It's hard to put into words just how much we learned, her podcast is very informative too. We've recommended both to other parents! What made the experience even better was that we had Heidi as one of our in person doulas too. She has so much experience and as someone with anxiety, her involvement in my pregnancy, labor, delivery and immediate postpartum was invaluable. She took the time to get to know us and was thorough and patient in answering all the questions we had. She was also a fierce advocate when I needed her to be. I felt very at peace entering into my labor knowing that I had Heidi to support me. She is one of the primary reasons I felt loved and supported while bringing my baby boy into the world. I was so grateful to have Heidi as part of my pregnancy and birth journey. I do not do well with hospitals/blood/needles and was having a lot of anxiety about my labor and delivery.
