I have submitted 5 requests to have my air conditioning fixed. After each time, the air conditioning might work for a little bit but then stops working and keeps constantly running. My apartment doesn’t get the cool air circulating throughout either. I’ve tried to talking to the leasing office about it to get actual resolution, but they say they can’t do anything and to put in another request. Why? After 5 requests my air conditioning is still not functional. It’s getting band-aid fixes that last a day at most, and then it’s back to being broke. I’m very frustrated that I have to keep going through the same motions when I pay so much to live here. I’m hoping the BBB can help get me get the resolution needed.

I have lived here almost 5 years and this will likely be my last. This place has gone down hill over the years, mostly since Gates Hudson took over. The office staff is unhelpful at best. The maintenance team is generally pretty good but it can often take several tickets to get an issue resolved. It took them half a dozen tickets to fix my AC over the last couple of years and the communication is pretty much nonexistent regarding anything. To their credit they did eventually replace my AC unit which I am grateful for. They recently repainted the parking lot and sent out numerous emails letting people know they need to move their cars or they would be towed at the owner's expense. Cool, not a problem. The day my street was being painted I parked my car a quarter mile away from my apartment in a lot that was not listed for the day only to find my car was towed. It turns out the parking lot, which is unnamed and not obviously part of one of the streets being painted, was in fact considered to be on a street they were painting that day. When I brought this up with the office I was frustrated and asked if the lot I parked in was listed on the email. I pointed out where I live and where I was towed and that I was clearly trying to comply with their request but did not realize that lot was part of the day's painting which the manager said very unkindly "Why would you think that?" She was so unhelpful and dismissive that I just turned around and left because while I was clearly stressed I did not want to yell. They used to spray for cockroaches twice a year but have stopped since Covid started. I started seeing roaches and submitted a ticket asking for a treatment and requested they give me some advance notice so I can empty my cabinets and lock my pet up, instead my ticket was closed without a call. I called the office several times but got no answer. I left a voicemail but got no callback so I left work early just in case a treatment was done so I do not come home to a sick animal but found no note in my apartment, no email saying why the ticket was closed, and no notes on my ticket. When I went to the office and asked about any treatments that were done the man at the front desk simply said "We make the tickets for pest control" then just sat there staring at me until I asked if he could elaborate. I had to ask him if that meant they would do anything and he said they would have someone come out on Friday. Again, no real communication from this front office. As others have pointed out, be prepared for unhelpful, bordering on rude, office staff. The cost of these apartments, while fairly cheap for the area, is not worth the trouble here. Rent here at your own risk.

COCKROACHES! My apartment was infested with cockroaches. Agent will have great communication while selling you lease. Once signed, you will find it nearly impossible to get in contact. Problem after problem. As soon as my lease expired, I was out of there. Surrounding area very dangerous. Trash everywhere. Maintenance left an old AC unit in front of my building for weeks. My neighbor and I finally drug it to the trashcan. Do not live here

They use DISGUSTING sales tactics. They had a TWO BEDROOM APARTMENT, listed at 1500 dollars a month. We make an appointment to meet them and view the apartment. When we get there, they look up my name in their system for appointments and they see I have no apartment listed that I want to view, which I found odd. I mentioned what it was and they said they had no two bedroom apartments listed at that price but they had others starting at 1700 a mo. I left immediately. I checked my phone to see the listing on their site AND THEY HAD REMOVED IT THE DAY WE MADE THE APPOINTMENT. they know what they're doing and its atrocious. Not to mention the crime rate in their neighborhood with all the cars being broken into, on top of a murder happening at the playground in June.

Two words: ROACH INFESTATION!!!!!! I'm not going to even talk about the fake reviews that they wrote for this place, it's honestly laughable. Because anyone who actually lives here, knows how horrible everything is. Absolutely disgusting living conditions and they DO NOT CARE. It doesn't matter how clean you are, the apartments are INFESTED WITH ROACHES. When I was showering, two big roaches crawled out from the bathroom sink. In all the apartments I've ever lived in, I never had any roaches, so I know I'm not the problem. Keep in mind we only lived here for approximately 5-6 months. There was no way we could survive 12 months living in this garbage dump. The only solution they offer is to have someone come and spray your apartment with some weak solution that the roaches have probably built an immunity to. Still saw roaches the next day. At that point we just gave up, because they weren't proactively trying to solve the problem. Our apartment flooded with water from upstairs last year and they absolutely did not care, nor did they do anything to help our situation. They were aggressive when approached about it and we were told "it's not their responsibility- renters insurance will cover it". There was no empathy and they made it evident that they did not give a flying F. Apparently to them, nothing is EVER their fault, when that is clearly not the case. They put all the blame on our new neighbor that had moved in a few days before the incident. Not to mention how unsafe the entire complex is, our other neighbor's car windows got smashed out, THE FIRST WEEK THEY MOVED IN. My boyfriend and I moved here because we were desperate for a place that was in our budget. BIG MISTAKE. This place is not worth it, not in the very least. It was so bad that we paid two months rent to break our lease because of how horrid the conditions were. If budget is a concern, please go to Meridian Bay Apartments and ask for Markela, she will save you so much trouble and headache. This apartment will approve of anyone to live here, they don't have any standards because all they care about is money. While that may be a good thing to some, be aware of the company you will keep. In the short span of time I lived here, there was a dead body down the street in the bushes. Also, drug and gang activity happening right down the street. Very unsafe for women and children, I would say just for everyone in general tbh. This place is run by SLUMLORDS.

Okay so from the beginning on filling out my application Star had been very helpful. Her name does her justice because she’s the star at the leasing office. She’s very patience and so knowledgeable. She also took her time explaining and asking me if I had any questions. She absolutely brighten anybody’s day with her kindness and smile.

Customer service was unmatched from start to finish. I set up an appointment online for a tour of the community. I was instantly greeted by Chris M upon my arrival and she was nothing short of amazing. Offered us refreshments and fresh baked cookies upon arrival. The community itself includes pool, clubhouse, fitness center, and a bunch of other nice amenities. Our move in date was anywhere from early November to mid January which is obviously a huge gap. I toured around 10 communities and most leasing consultants whom i meet with did not take me as a serious leaseholder due to that as well as being a young, first time lease holder but Chris attentiveness and customer service to all my questions and concerns was hands down the reason I choose this place and chose to move in the following week once my roommate toured and approved of the home&community. Chris called within 24 hours of application and congratulated us as future Leaseholders! Thank you Chris for treating me as a respected applicant and now a future resident starting next week! ( Give Chris a raise!!) 6 Months update: Walls are thin and you can hear occasional footsteps and doors opening and closing but nothing too serious and its an apartment so its expected. All my maintenance requests have been answered and fixed within 48 hours i call. I see them cleaning the buildings consistently during the pandemic as well. Our apartment also has no bugs. the community itself is great and i haven't had a problem with anyone or anything.

I just moved in a few weeks ago and I will say that it has been awesome so far! I just moved here from FL and I was stressed about finding a place. Aribell and the team at Potomac Vista made the process a lot less stressful for me. They answered every question I had and they are very friendly and helpful. I am extremely happy with my decision to move here! My daughter, my dog, cat and I love our new home!

I lived here for a year. It was ok. The windows were bad, you could feel the draft. Other then that, it was ok. I moved out 4 months ago, and they still did not refund my security deposit. I have called many times and left voicemail, no calls back. I send emails no one answered. I went to the place on the weekend, front desk told the manager will contact on Monday, nothing happened. I asked for breakdown why they do not want to give full security deposit, they charge cleaning fees and other fees, I left the place like no one lived there, did professional cleaning and they still charge me. There are no phones I could talk to the managers. It is funny, one time my payment did not went thru right of the way for one day and they tempted to charge me late fees, and they treating me like that now.

😐 The house is perfect for a family with 2-3 kids. Storage space could be better, some have better amenities than others. The number of parks is perfect. There is a pack not less than 200 yards from every single residence. Just living on base next to people with so many kids near our kids age is so...
