The waiter was rude, completely ignored me and clearly thought I didn’t belong there because I’m not white. He conversed well with everyone else at the table but certainly feels my skin color doesn’t belong at that place. Won’t be going there again because you really don’t need this negativity and attitude.

Nice fine dining experience in an unexpected spot near BART. There is a private parking lot in the back and street parking. The restaurant looks like a converted Victorian home, and the inside is nice and calm, not pretentious or loud like some fine dining spots. One man served as host, waiter, and bussing person. The service was attentive and friendly. He gave great wine pairing recommendations. The food was delicious. Our favorites were the steamed clams and rack of lamb. The sauce that the clams came in was scrumptious, and we requested more bread to soak up all that tasty sauce. The rack of lamb was tender and well seasoned, not gamy at all. The prices are very reasonable, and the portions are good. Neumanali is now on our list of places to go to when celebrating a special occasion.

Went here for my husband's birthday and had a delicious meal, romantic ambience and excellent service. Highly recommend.

This place is as close to a 5 star fancy restaurant you can get in the bay area. Located in a Victorian house, It's a must come! I reserved a table weeks in advance, foods amazing, fancy, and romantic. Great place for a date or proposal.

LICHRALLY STUNNIG! I can not get over how amazing everything is. My favorite dish is the Clams in the Chorizo cream sauce. I regret not scooping and slurping twice as much. That sauce is gone forever. 🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵

Consistently good meals, everything on the menu is delicious and thoughtfully prepared. We enjoyed the chicken with mashed potatoes and the rib eye steak.

Restaurant in a converted house with great ambiance for a quiet and romantic meal. Our grilled salmon and rack of lamb was delicious. However service was underwhelming. Only one staff served both as maitre'd and server. Service was officious and impersonal. There was no gracious welcome, orders were placed at our table without comment, never inquired if we needed anything else or if we were enjoying our meal; we had to ask for water glasses to be refilled. I ordered dessert and I ordered coffee, but others at the table was not asked if they wanted coffee. The plates were removed from the table without permission or comment nor any comment made when the bill was placed on the table. After the credit card transaction was made, no thank you. We would have better enjoyed the service provided by a talking robot. Had always wanted to dine at this restaurant. Glad I done it, but not again.

Don’t do reservations if you can’t seat your guests! And like the other reviewers wrote, there is some anti non white sentiments going on at this place. Waiter/host seems like he does not want to be there.

Charming, intimate venue. Housed in the lower level of a lovely Victorian near Bart & city hall in Hayward. Reasonable prices, but service is on the slow side & other than the prosciutto wrapped shrimp starter and the rib eye steak, & scallop entrees, was not impressed with any of the other starters or entrees my party of 4 selected. My trout was over cooked & quite dry & peppered and covered with raw shavings of cauliflower. They also have a lovely outdoor patio. So 5 for ambience, 4 for service, 3 or 4 depending on your choices.

This has to be one of the best places for dinner in the bay area 😋 I was very impressed with the service, and the quality of the food was outstanding 👌

The atmosphere is very nice and quiet, great for an intimate dinner. The food was good and not overpriced. The wine menu was large, and the waiter recommended good pairings for our food.

They food is fantastic as always. Always so flavorful, potatoes so smooth, and everything made perfectly. Services is always on point, he always comes right away whether your done with your plate, need a refill, or another glass. Can't go wrong coming here for a date night.

I brought my French Father in-law here as he wanted a good steak and this was nearby. He was very satisfied with everything and was even impressed by their wine list and I couldn’t agree more. Delicious food in a very calming atmosphere. They even accommodated my wife who’s vegan and was nervous about asking for that special request. The waiter encouraged her to speak up when she wants something and I fully supported his encouragement. Great experience overall, will take my mother there in the near future
