Flamingo is suited for a short stay and is a very well maintained and beautiful property. The service was excellent, the staff was always around to enquire about what we needed. Special mention to Akhil who was always around to help us. The rooms were clean and tastefully decorated. We felt that both the rooms we got were a little too dark and the switches were all hidden in random corners. We completely enjoyed taking the canoe on the backwaters ourselves to get to the beach. The canoe experience is a must for anyone planning to visit. Food was good even though the choices were a little limited. Overall it was a very great experience!

We loved our 3 night stay here. The room was very clean and nice bathroom with good shower. Staff were fabulous, very welcoming and helpful, able to get requested items at short notice and arrange taxis/trips, helping get into the canoes etc. Comfortable loungers by the pool. The food was also really nice. Breakfast was included and had a lot of options including fresh fruit and juices. We loved the pistachio milkshake! Lots of options on the lunch/dinner menu including tasty snacks and fresh prawns. A special thanks to Anil who works in the restaurant, who goes above and beyond to ensure guests are well fed and taken care of!

We absolutely loved our stay at the Flamingo Boutique Hotel. The rooms are spacious and the beds are very comfortable. The staff were all very kind and hard working and made us feel very well looked after. We loved being able to canoe to the local beach which was often completely empty, perfect for relaxing under the palm trees. The food in the restaurant was very good, would recommend the biriyanis.

I had spent one night with my family in this resort. I want to give a genuine review. First of all this is a small property, like a home stay. But they maintained as clean and tidy. Their service was also good. Food they given was good, but choices are very less. Cons: The main drawback I felt was this resort is overpriced when compared to other resorts. I already stayed in Elixir hills, munnar and Raviz kollam. These 2 resorts was very good and their price is less than flamingo. In flamingo, there is only one activity, that is conoeing, but in raviz you get a complimentary house boat trip & many activities. In flamingo, swimming pool is very small compared to other resorts. In raviz you will get a infinity pool for adults and small pool for kids. When coming to food they only have limited choices. You will get better facilities and activities in other resorts with price less than flamingo charging.

One of the best experiences we ever had ! Traditional architecture, well maintained rooms, amazing staff, a relaxing pool and extraordinary food. The unique experience of canyoning, which is offered by Flamingo, was a wonderful experience. A special mention to two people Mr Anil and the chef ( sorry I forgot the name). Mr Anil was such an energetic host and he helped us with all that we needed. If you need a break and want to spend in a calm and relaxing atmosphere, this is your best option. PS: I forgot my phone charger there and it was a new one and after traveling a long distance that I realized that I lost it there. Immediately, I contacted the people concerned, and they sent my charger as a courier. It was such a great gesture from them. Overall, I am totally satisfied with Flamingo❤️

My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights. What's good - - The service is top notch. Polite and well mannered staff. - The resort is well located right on Mararikulam main road so getting to the resort shouldn't be a problem. - Kerala food at this place is top notch. Restaurant Manager Mr Anil really makes your dining experience quite good. He is always on his toes to make sure the guests are happy. The staff is also really accommodating when it comes to your food preferences and they are welcome to take food orders which are off the menu. Tried Grilled Fish and Grilled chicken steak for Continental. This is passable since the menu said Lemon butter sauce but the sauce and flavours were non existent. Better to stick to the local cuisine here. - There is no direct beach access from this resort but you can row a boat (provided by the resort) through the backwater canal behind the resort, to the mararikulam beach. This is an amazing / must try experience. What could be better- - Seems like a well maintained property, until you notice these. Water leaking from the wooden ceiling, A/C without vent flap (you cannot adjust the swing of the A/C without this) and the result is direct A/C air to the bed). -Food seems slightly over priced here. 520 for a fish curry (although a good one) is exorbitant. 130 for a small portion of kerala style stir fried cabbage (Cabbage thoran) was also heart sinking. -The mattress on the bed could be better. Seemed like a low quality one. Not acceptable after paying 7500 per night. - The bathroom interior although good, seemed slightly overdone. Steps with sharp edges in a bathroom is unnecessary and like an accident waiting to happen. This could have been designed better / avoided. My wife almost lost her footing once due to the steps. -A dressing room inside the bathroom didn't make practical sense. You would have to carry your luggage/clothes through the bathroom , negotiating the steps and then access it. The access to this should have been provided from the main room itself. - There is no luggage stand or a teapoy / small table in the room we stayed. These are basic facilities and should be provided without being asked for. -The backwater canal behind the resort carries dirty water during low tide and at times emits foul smell. This is only during low tide where water recedes in the canal and starts to look like drainage. Not a pleasant site / experience during dine in. Worth a visit if the price is reasonable.

Flamingo Marari Boutique Hotel proved to be an enchanting retreat, embracing us with its beautiful Kerala-style architecture that exuded traditional charm. The intricate wooden carvings and sloping roofs blended seamlessly with the serene surroundings of Mararikulam. Stepping into the hotel felt like stepping into a tranquil oasis, where we could immerse ourselves in the rich cultural heritage of Kerala. However, what truly made our stay unforgettable was the hotel's amazing, friendly, and helpful staff. From the moment we arrived, their warm welcome and attentive service made us feel valued as guests. They were always ready to assist with any request, whether it was offering local recommendations or catering to our dining preferences at the hotel's restaurant. Flamingo Marari Boutique Hotel is a hidden gem that combines captivating architecture with exceptional hospitality. It provided the perfect escape from our daily routines, allowing us to experience the authentic essence of Kerala. We felt at home, thanks to the genuine smiles and warm hospitality of the staff. If you seek a peaceful and memorable stay with a touch of traditional Kerala charm, Flamingo Marari Boutique Hotel is the ideal choice. We can't wait to return and relish their outstanding service once more!

Small property with facilities which are adequate for a few days stay. Kayaking to the beach was great fun and we enjoyed some nice meals in the restaurant. Service was friendly. Compared to other places we stayed it was overpriced for what was offered.

We enjoyed our stay at the flamingo. Cute little hotel decked away close to Marari beach. Rooms and bathrooms are spacious which helped with our little kids. Staff at the restaurant were very accommodating and helpful. Canoe was quite some fun. For anyone wanting to spend time at Marari beach, definitely recommend this.

Not value for money. One should not pay more than 5-6k/night for such small property. Only activity here is canoeing , when we arrived, water level in the canal was too low and dirty . Walk along local houses to get to the beach. No play area, no complimentary tea , limited food options, safety locker not working & many more. Overall not satisfied.. On reply to my post by the resort owner. . Clarifications-- Have been to many resorts , yours is easily my worst stay .. For Breakfast, Basket containing Bread and jam was full of small mosquitoes, Coconut chutney served was stinking., banana shake was good . And regarding safety locker, we know how to use it man, it showed battery low first , and dead within few minutes. So that says . Regarding price ,. The day after we vacated, the price showed 6k/night in agoda. And we think we have been cheated by booking directly with the resort and giving us no discount. From my booking price 9.5k, you could have easily given 500 or 1000 discount. And by complimentary tea ,many resorts are providing evening snack.. I know sachets been kept in the room, on asking for extra sugar sachets in the morning, room service came with only one sachet. How great !! Lastly for flower decor, .. thanks .. So overall not satisfied!!

We had a wonderful stay at Flamingo Boutique hotel. The good was amazing (one of the best we had in India) and the staff was friendly, helpful and attentive all the time. The pool, common area and room were very clean and nice. One of our highlights were the canoes of the hotel, with which we could paddle to the beach. Unfortunately my wife became ill during our stay. On check-out day the manager himself drove us to the hospital and managed that we could stay in the room longer, while we waited for the arranged airport transfer. All in all the stay was perfect und we can't thank you enough.

Faultless experience. Quieter location in the south of Marari, more relaxed beach nearby than further north. Nice pool area at the hotel. The rooms are great especially considering the value for money. The team there were especially memorable - every single person was kind and helpful.

We had a spectacular time here. We were here for a couple of days and we came back relaxed and happy. The property has so much going for it, the rooms, the food, the staff and the best of all is the building itself. Every picture you take here is something you will keep forever. My 5 year old and his older cousin enjoyed it the most here. The beach is close by and is very clean. Special mention to Anil from the restaurant, he's more doting than a mother with his able team. The owners and the staff are also relaxed and nice. Flavours of home with a tinge of a hotel thrown in.

Stayed there a week ago..very nice place to spend.. Pros: great view of canal alongside the resort Canoe facility available which is a good activity Good rooms with very spacious and beautiful bathrooms Amazing staffs with great service. Reiterating on that bcz has very bad experience from some other resorts Good and tasty food Value for money Cons: pool is not kids friendly and non swimmers friendly.for a swimmer it's not too deep and for a non swimmers too deep .same height throughout. Breakfast has less options.onky one bread and curry Kerala style available.dont know about vegetarians. Beach is a 10 min walk away..but far when compared to other beach resorts Overall good stay worth the money.

We did an impromptu booking at The place, a phone call and we got the booking confirmed. Since it was a last minute booking, we were a bit skeptical as to how the place would be. But once we reached there, we were blown away. It was such a wonderful and beautiful place. It was an old house which has been converted to a boutique hotel. Well kept, pristine, traditional architecture style, too good. The food that was served, whether its dinner or breakfast was all really good. They even have a small canoe which you can use to reach Marari beach. Totally worth it and recommended!!

Went for a single night stay. The rooms are big and well maintained. The area to sit outside is nice too. The food is tasty, just takes a while to prepare but you can order ahead. Breakfast could have some more variety. The pool is nice but the saline water could have been better. But the service of the staff makes up for everything. From the house keeping to ppl in the restaurant, wonderful service! Enjoyed the stay!

We loved the experience at Flamingo. The highlight was of course rowing the canoe to the beach. The view just got better and better. We had such a lovely time. There was a little electrical problem in the room. And the breakfast menu was pretty basic. Apart from that, it was excellent. Unforgettable experience!

This is THE place if you are looking for a Premium Staycation in a budget. We booked this place for a one-night girl's staycation and I must say it was totally worth every penny! Being our first girls only trip, we were apprehensive at first. We wanted an elegant but safe stay, but also did not want to empty our pockets for just one night. That is when we came across this option. We loved the photos and the reviews in the first glance. And I must say, it turned out to be better. 1. The rooms are super pretty, and squeaky clean 2. All their staffs are extremely cordial and resourceful 3. They have a beautiful beach at a walkable distance from the resort and you can even do canoeing from the resort through a canal which leads to this beach 4. They have an amazing pool, which is well maintained. The hours at the pool are flexible. 5. They do not accomodate too many people at a time, which gives you all the calm and quiet you need for a perfect relaxing stay. 6. Excellent food! We are surely visiting again with our husbands next time. ♥️♥️♥️

If you are looking for a peaceful and calm spot to spend your family vacation, Flamingo Marari Boutique Hotel is the place to be! We spent this weekend there and this stay has been the best vaction we ever had. The property is very tastefully decorated and very clean and well landscaped. The staff is very friendly and the food is very delectable!! The canoe ride to the beach was a unique experience... I would highly recommend this place for a calm and unique stay.

It was a really good experience for me and my family. The hotel staffs are well spoken and are ready to help us out with our requests. The beach is a few metres away from there, but still they will provide you with a canoe to reach the boat or a bicycle to ride through the small road leading to the beach. Will definitely go to flamingo for next vacation! 😊

The place was super amazing. I did enjoy the boating to the beach. Staff was very helpful and the services were good as well. This family created a boutique hotel with aesthetic of Kerela’s, provided all facilities for youngsters to oldies to get chill their mood there.

We had a great experience there the rooms and the services they provided were exceptional. The food could be better but still it's okayish. The beach is 350 meters away from the resort, and you could use small boats or bicycles or even walk and reach. All round it was a good and memorable stay. Thanks

Pros: The boat rowing experience was really a good experience. Food was not very high priced unlike other resorts. The staff was very friendly and was very helpful whenever we were in need of anything. We had a 2 year old with us who needed milk often. The staff was always at help whenever we had called them for anything. Cons: The space was very less compared to other resorts for the price it charged us which was around 7k They are charging an additional price if the family has kids above 5 years old. Pool is extremely small pool. No kids pool.

A very well maintained resort for a weekend getaway. We visited to celebrate my son's birthday and it was great. Stay was just awesome and rooms were so lovely. The staff deserve the credit for being polite and good service. The whole decoration for birthday was done by them and I was surprised when I wake up.✌️ The food is is fresh and tasty. I just loved the breakfast. Finally I would like to thank Mr.Varun( the owner ) for arranging the event and shooting the event video and stills. Thank you so much I will visit again.👏
