Very bad behaviour from staff. Ambience very bad. We booked from make my trip and when we reached there staff was telling us that there is no room available. They are cheating every customer. If they get more money they will give room to another customer. They demanded 2000rs extra for the room I booked from Make my trip. Please avoid this kind of cheaters. Please don't go. I will not recommend any one.

An ideal place to relax and enjoy the beauty of sea. The place is well maintained and rooms are clean and tidy. The host is always available for support. Myself and family has a good time here .What can be improved: Breakfast timeing.

Nothing wow in this place…its like the numerous other resorts which are nearby. But yes , the beach is right there….a clean beach , a neat beach and the sand is good. Though google will say that there is a road which leads to this place….its completely wrong…You have to park your vehicle some 150 mts away and walk through the sand to reach the villa. If u land in the noon…u will have a tough time negotiating the stretch…better to keep dancing 😉 Food is OK , we also have an option to get it from outside. The owner and family also resides nearby and they do the cooking . So food which is made to order takes its own sweet time to get prepared. The place is frequented by many foreign travellers as they spend weeks in this place …cooling their heels , lapping up the tan , eating sea food and enjoying Gods’s Own country’s beaches… Rooms are quite spacious , but the washrooms are small….they cud have done some change on this … Good experience…recommended for a one time visit

Great location, property is just on the beach, you can hear the sound of waves. There is no car parking in the property, you have to walk 100 meters after parking your car nearby. Food is great, rooms are clean. You can sit on the beach and have food if you want since they are having a small dining area on the beach. Beach is not that crowded but you can see few people in the evening

Location is one of the best. Rooms are just okay. AC is not very good. Pricing is a bit high. Solar hot water is fitted, so no hot water by night. Cleanliness is barely passable. Host Mr. Anoop is very good but he is the only one. Need more caretakers here and since the property is a bit isolated, there must be 24h security here. Food orders were done from a restaurant and they arrived 2 hours late. Food was also just okay.

Have been there with my friends for vacation. Firstly, it is a unique spot with very low local people counting and higher foreigners . The waves have been in a full swing, and it is a perfect spot for hangouts and enjoying a sunny beach day . Some areas are under private for foreign visitors, so if you want to visit those places, you need their permission. Overall, it's the best place for evening hangouts.

Amazingly beautiful villa it is. Just in front of the beach. Beautiful private beach feel. They have a beach restaurant as well which is just facing the beach. Two types of rooms are available.1- beach facing room which is quite small for a family.2- family room which is quality large and ample of spaces for extra mattress. Host and his family members are so humble and helpful. They are always ready to offer help to guests in terms of rooms service or tea/coffees or making some simple food for kids. We enjoyed our stay a lot so extended our stay as well. Villa is little around 200mts far from parking and they will help you in carrying luggage. Just sit on lounge chair and enjoy the calm serene view. Just have a drink and chill on the hammock is so peaceful and relaxing. Definitely we will recommend and visit here again.

The location is amazing - you can see the waves rolling while sipping tea on the veranda. The rooms were clean and well maintained. The ambience with the lights and the hammock at night makes it very relaxing. Anoop was a gracious host and we felt very welcome at their home. We also had the opportunity to see them haul in the catch of the day and they made for us tasty crab curry. Thank you Sindhu chechi for the amazing food.

Location is great with possibly the best proximity to the sea! Very peaceful and serene esp if you are planning to relax and unwind on the beach. They have 2 types of rooms with all rooms facing the sea - the one we stayed in was small and basic. I have rated 2 stars for the room as it was small for us (with a small kid and baby) with not much space for unpacking our suitcases. Also we did not have running hot water. If you are traveling with family , take the bigger rooms even though they say it is for larger groups. Hosts are good and friendly. They help you with hot water, and food/ tea when you need. They also help you with carrying the luggage as the place is on the beach and about 200 metres from the road.Limited veg options, so if you are a vegetarian, you will have to explore places outside for more options. Overall, if you are a non fussy traveler and are getting the rooms at a good deal, then this place is definitely worth a pick!

Marari Sea Lap Villas was a great experience for our group. We were four families and we rented the whole place. It was like staying with one's own family with Anoop and his team taking such wonderful care of us. No request was too much and nothing we wanted was denied.. We were a group with young kids and the safety and privacy of this place meant that we could all have a really stress free and wonderful time..

Bad ambience and rude staff. We booked it through online and when we reach to the property staff telling that rooms not available and asking us for 3000rs extra. Bad service. I never recommend this for anyone. Anyone who is interested to book this property please avoid. Especially family. I have registered a complaint in online site which I have booked the room.

We were staying at a nearby homestay but had two lovely meals at the Marari sea lap restaurant. We had seafood and vegetarian meals, both delicious! The outlook was beautiful right on the beach. The owner and staff were very friendly and kind to us. 100% recommend.

This place is really paradise the location is top, surrounded by lush green coconut trees , directly on the private marari beach with direct access to the sea. Initially I booked it for 3 days but I ended up staying 6 more days , I felt like at home . Anoop and his family treated me like a family member. The food was always home cooked and fresh. Their hospitality is world-class . The owner Anoop is very kind and friendly and available for 24 hours for your needs. Don't expect luxury but trust me the place is amazing. I will visit again .. Thank you, Anoop and your family for your kind courtesy and hospitality extended to me during my India trip. Cheers !

We stayed at Anoop’s place for 5 nights. He and his family are super friendly and made us feel welcomed in their home. The room was simple but clean and the food, fresh and very tasty. Great value for the price.

The USP is it is very close to the beach. Beach is just 100 meters from the property. Family rooms are big enough. The water available in the bathrooms are cloggy and salty. Parking is a problem. Since it's so close to the beach, you cannot drive your cars to the spot. My car was out in the open during the day and at night moved to a safer location. You will definitely enjoy the proximity to the beach.

The best homestay we have come across around this part of Kerala. The hosts are so amazing that it becomes difficult to leave them and depart after a few days. Proximity to the beach appears quite tailor-made and couldn't have been better. The beach is very clean and never gets crowded. The host, Anoop, and family truly deserve a special mention. We have begun considering them our own relatives after spending a few days/nights at Sealap. The chef, Sebin, and the rest of the staff are fabulous too. Overall, a must visit if one may prefer true homestay experiences over those provided by resorts and hotels.

Great 6 day stay, stunning view of ocean and green palm tree backdrop. Falling asleep and waking up to the sound of the ocean. Service personal and very friendly. Beautiful, authentic building with 5 spacious and very clean rooms. Food by chef of the house was excellent. We did not feel the need to search for another place to eat. We would come back any time if we are in need of some serious chill time

The stay was nice and cozy. If you're searching for not a crowded beach, then this is the one. The staffs and service were really nice. The view was also incredible as the first thing you see from the room is the beach.

Right in the Beach. Very supporting staff. But need to take all food and drinks while going. No food service. As it is beach, car to be stopped on the side road, then walk to beach resort.

I had the most amazing stay here! Anoop and the staff here couldn’t do enough for us to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. We initially planned on staying here for 2 days, but ended up using it as our base between trips around kerala and stayed for a total of 7 nights as we just felt so at home and things were so comfortable and hospitable here. From helping us with our bags, to arranging transport for us, Cooking us beautiful tasty authentic keralan meals and keeping our room clean. They also kept us topped up with with clean water, tea and coffee. This was an incredibly relaxing place to stay where you can literally step out of your room onto the beach and watch the sun set over the sea from the hammocks, or watch the fisherman at work.- we came as a family with a couple with a young baby and this place was more than able to cater to all of us. I can’t wait to return and would recommend anyone who is looking to visit kerala to head to Marari and spend a couple of days here for an authentic keralan experience with trustworthy good people. Thanks again everyone for making our stay just perfect.

It was really good experience, and very close to the beach, stay with a rythamatic sound of sea. Mr. Anoop is a very friendly house owner. Beach is like a private beach, no outsiders were there. Had a good time with family and friends.
