I’ve been a member of Huntsman for almost three years and the only regret I have is that I didn’t discover this place years ago! It’s completely changed my life in ways I didn’t think a “gym” could. I’ve met so many amazing people, been on some great trips and learned so much about my physical and mental strength. Wherever you are in your life or your fitness journey, come and check this place out. I guarantee you’ll find it as amazing as I do.

I joined CrossFit Huntsman last July after coming from another box and I love it. The gym itself is amazing, the facilities are awesome and the coaches are super friendly, knowledgeable and really keen to help members. There is a lovely community feel at Huntsman, everyone is so welcoming and I love the support I get from other members when I do a class. I would highly recommend!

Huntsman has to be without a doubt one of the best places to train, from the community to the coaches it really is the best of the best and has reignited my love for training. It’s been almost a year since I joined and I haven’t looked back. CrossFit Huntsman really does take your training to a new level.

It’s a bit long, but there’s lots to say…. I was nervous and anxious when I first stepped into Crossfit Huntsman over 4 years ago. Not actually unfit (I had previously done some endurance running and still walked), but mobility and flexibility were zilch, I had never ever considered lifting a barbell and hadn’t a clue what a burpee was! And I was already a ‘senior citizen’. I needn't have worried. A course of PT sessions with Head Coach Matty saw me confident enough to hit the classes. It was the best thing I’d ever done for my physical, mental and emotional health. Owner Chris has provided excellent equipment/facilities and over the years has built up a crossfit gym to be proud of. All the coaches are welcoming, knowledgeable, experienced and attentive instructors - they know every individual’s capabilities, limitations and potential. They teach, support, motivate and challenge everyone to achieve maximum progress. Furthermore the other members are friendly, helpful and encouraging. The atmosphere is brilliant. The entire Huntsman community is inclusive and positive. So, if you’re already a gym freak/ max-lifter and are looking for a more productive way of training or if you are unfit, or overweight, or new to exercise, or even ‘old’ - don’t hesitate to step inside. Huntsman is the place to ‘Be. More...’, to grow in confidence, to achieve an all-round functional fitness and develop a healthy lifestyle. And have FUN! Regretfully I have had to leave as I’ve moved to the other end of the country. Already I’ve started to look for other Crossfit gyms, but I’m sure that they will all only ever be 2nd best to Huntsman. Thank you everyone for the past 4 years. I’ll miss you all. Rita xx

I went along to Crossfit Huntsman Bishop Stortford as a drop in whilst away with work and I couldn't have been made to feel more welcome. The facilities and equipment were great. The class content was explained, demonstrated and taught very well. But the people made it for me, a very friendly and fun bunch! I look forward to returning when working in that part of the country again!

I absolutely love training art CF Huntsman. From the moment I joined I was made to feel so welcome, and instantly like part of the family. The coaches are not only the loveliest people you could meet, but excellent at what they do. They are dedicated to you learning properly and safely, to training hard, but also making sure you have a bloody good time doing it! I have been doing CrossFit for about 3 years and the most progress I have made, both physically and mentally has been with CF Huntsman. My hour at the gym is the best part of every day - I highly recommend Huntsman to everyone.

Great experience with CrossFit Huntsman! It is always good to work out with a group if you want to push yourself hard into some real achievement. And with professional guidance is also essential, no injury is wanted. You can find very friendly mates to work out together, secretly competing 🤭 maybe, and coaches giving you guidance based on your personal situation. The training varies from day to day, but helping you to be better in all aspects of fitness without noticing , if you really want an improvement. I love training there and will continue as long as possible.

Huntsman is a gym that becomes like family. They are inclusive of all new members and help incorporate them well into the rhythm. They are attentive to each members level of fitness, ability and possible injuries and will help guide you through the workout accordingly. It has been a place that has challenged my physical, as well as personal growth and I highly recommend joining the community of like-minded athletes to push you harder than you could ever push yourself.

Best gym I’ve ever been to hands down. Doesn’t feel like you’re dragging yourself there to do something you don’t want to do. The training is hard but all of it is scaleable and adjustable to different levels of fitness. As long as you walk through the door and turn up, there’s never any judgement! ☺️

I was visiting my brother for the weekend and decided to pop in to Crossfit Huntsman to check it out. I was welcomed by everyone who worked there and was allowed to use the amazing facilities even though I was only going to be in the area for a few days. When I went to pay I was told it's on them and asked me if I enjoyed my workout. Not only did I love the equipment, the vibe and the staff I haven't been to a gym that's allowed any guests free for a very long time. That's a proper old school crossfit welcoming! Let's just say if you're a local I would certainly pay them a visit and if you're passing and love crossfit they will certainly welcome you. Thank you Crossfit Huntsman! Edit.... Visited CrossFit Huntsman again after a year and the service continues to get better. Matty the coach was welcoming introducing me to the class. I loved the way he coaches, instructions clear, demos every movement with precision and makes the workout so much fun. Tough but fun! One of my favourite boxes I’ve visited! Thank again.

This gym is cool and awesome. I was in the UK for 2 weeks from Canada. I wanted to keep working out so I contacted Hannah to ask if I could do drop ins. I was welcomed to participate in any class I wanted as much as I wanted! The trainers are amazing and I felt so at home! I had a great time. If I lived in the UK this would be where I would join without a doubt. Thank you guys. I also loved the cafe next door, protein shakes are delicious!

Huntsman is such an amazing place to train. Chris and the team are great and the daily workouts are always different and they push you to get results. I learnt so many different skills and techniques which is something I would never be able to do in a normal gym. Highly recommend to anyone who wants a challenge and see the results at the end.

Although I only spent 2 months training at huntsman before moving house, I honestly loved every second! The coaches were knowledgeable, kind, friendly and incredibly supportive every step of the way. Everyone in the classes were so welcoming and it really felt like a community. If you're thinking of starting crossfit I can't recommend a better place than huntsman. I'm gutted to have left but will always remember my short but sweet visit!

I’ve achieved the highest levels of fitness and athleticism in CrossFit that I’ve ever achieved in any sport I’ve performed in. This is undoubtedly due to the high standard of coaching provided at Huntsman. I’ve trained in gyms in the US and this is hands down the best training I’ve come across. The culture and environment created by Huntsman is welcoming, engaging and friendly - it’s become a home from home. Whatever stage you’re at, you never feel surpassed as everyone is there to help improve one another as well as themselves. The camaraderie is fantastic. I hope to train and improve here for many years to come!

Having spent 15 years living in london, I was spoilt for choice with boutique gyms, sporting clubs and fitness trends which I relished being a part of. In moving to Hertford I assumed I’d struggle to find anywhere on par with the same level of training, coaches and facilities. I couldn’t have been more wrong! Despite never having tried CrossFit and somewhat intimidated by the stereotype of what a typical box experience might be like-after lots of research locally, I signed up for Huntsman’s On Ramp introductory course. And I’ve not looked back since! The coaches are incredibly knowledgable, attentive and ensure progression across all levels, and the inclusive and welcoming environment they create spreads through to the members-this isn’t just a gym, it’s a community. I can honestly say I’ve never felt as strong both mentally and physically as a result of feeling like a part of this family and would recommend to anyone to try.
