This is a really good gym, especially since it's the only 24 hour gym in the area without traveling to Sunderland, some of the equipment does need a bit of TLC but that is the case with all gyms. There were a few suggestions I had with the gym but after speaking to Mick about this I wrote down what I thought would help the gym and also help promote the business he was more than happy to read my thoughts and see if they would work

Great gym with everything you need from free weights to cardio machines to functional training equipment. It’s 24 hours 7 days a week which is perfect for me as I can get the kids to bed then head to the gym I couldn’t ask for anything better. I highly recommend the personal training sessions, I took a single session which entailed a detailed interview to determine my specific needs then a fitness test to determine what my plan should look like. It is entirely personal to me and my ice hockey needs, I’ve been doing the plan for 2 weeks now and I’m seeing big improvements on the Ice.

Best gym I’ve ever been to. good range of equipment, room is clean and layered out well, not a bad word to say about the place.

Evolution fitness has evolved recently as its moved to new premises. Next door to B&M on Newbottle street in Houghton. The gym its self is amazing, clean, spacious, modern and has every bit of equipment you could ever need, from free weights, to weight machines, cardio, boxing ring and bags, fitness classes, also its equipped with toliets and shower and a supplement shop. It also has a beauty section for piercings, lashes etc. The atmosphere in this gym is second to none, friendly faces and helpful people everywhere you turn, this is hands down the best gym in the north east. Cheap membership with 24 hour access and good people, you would be mad to join anywhere else.

Great gym, friendly people and 24/7 access is always a bonus! Could do with an upgrade to the low/high pulley machine and a few bits and bobs but overall spot on

A real community feel to this gym, owner & staff are always friendly and go above and beyond for their members. Offering great classes, affordable prices with a great range of equipment for all abilities This gym also offers Muay Thai/ kickboxing classes with Coach Jake. Classes are aimed at all levels, very engaging class and inclusive. Absolutely worth getting along to a class. If you are looking for a new gym, you won’t find a better place than Evolution!

Absolutely fantastic ear piercing experience for my nervous 9 yr old. Very understanding and no sense of hurry. Afterwards, my daughter said that that's where she'll take her children in the future to have their ears pierced!

Ever since it's put up the neon sign, noticed they don't care about those who have seizures, honestly wanted to give the gym a try and now put off with it, why doesn't anyone care? Seems a waste of good energy just for self promoting reasons!

Got a gym plan to work towards, and being 24hr is great as i can go in early hours, being a poor sleeper, and has all gym equipment needed

Top quality gym, the only 24 hour gym in this area, always clean, always has cleaning equipment available, equipment properly spaced out, made 2 requests since starting and both got implemented within a few months, staff are friendly. 5/5 gym.

Got spider bites septum and ears done today, really friendly and nice atmosphere, didn't hurt and she made sure I was okay all the way :)
