Ordered from here recently, left a review on the platform I ordered from. Seems they can’t take criticism and think their food is perfect! Then you get a rude reply!! Absolute joke, maybe if they had been more courteous on their review replies maybe people would feel they could call up to complain if they did have a problem. If only I’d of seen the hygiene rating of 1 before I ordered... then I wouldn’t of bothered! Great way to run a business.... NOT!!!!

Always a lovely welcome off lou the land lady and Ian land lord very happy goin here best pub ever there is now an out door bbq children can feed the chickens play football and games i think this couple have done really well with this pub so if you want 2chill out this is the place 2go its also dog friendly but think dogs have 2be on lead cos of the chickens so check it out you will not be disappointed

Very friendly helpful staff catered very well for my gluten-free options. I gave a four for food because I didn't have my first choice of the menu

What a beautiful place to have a relaxing drink and meal. Lou and Iain are absolutely fantastic so welcoming and nothing is to much trouble. AMAZING!! The chef Dylan, where do I start the food is outstanding, some of the best food we have ever tasted. Tasty, delicious 😋 and portion size fantastic!! We will definitely be back.

Awesome place, food is amazing, cheaper than the microwave junk from the red lion down the road and much much better, staff are super friendly and it's a nice place to be. Wholeheartedly recommend the Sunday lunch, just make sure you have time in the afternoon for a good long nap to sleep it off!

I actually visited with some mates over the weekend - the beer is great, the food and service were OK. The reason I'm only giving 2 stars is because there's zero enforcement of wearing masks throughout the pub. People were coming and going throughout the bar and there wasn't a mask wasn't in-sight. **Edit: Why would I lie about the enforcement of masks? I'm not local and won't be coming back, so there's no benefit in me lying - Downgraded to 1 star**

My friend and I visited The Swan today for Afternoon Tea, excellent choice ! I'm vegetarian and was very impressed with the choices and effort made for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians. Good food well presented, great value for money, and lovely friendly service. I look forward to visiting The Swan again in the future.

I don't usually take pictures of my food..but this had to be done. What a chef absolute genius and master at their craft, all made from scratch. It's pub food but not as you've had before. So much care in every part. Can't wait to come back. Staff so friendly too. You must eat here

Great food at a very reasonable price, with a lovely relaxed atmosphere and dogs are welcome. Could not ask for more than that

The food was excellent and the service and atmosphere was also excellent ended uo staying the entire night due to the fact they had a singer on Matt Carroll who was also brilliant we all had a great night very enjoyable. We Will definitely be going again 100% recommended 😊 Thank you Ian and Louise

Excellent service. We were passing and they managed to accommodate us. Had the Sunday roast and never had such tender beef on a pub menu. We shall pass by and call in again

The Swan is a location that can't be missed. Had an opportunity to attend a 90th Birthday party with a lovely buffet put on by The Swan. The prepared food was plentiful and outstanding. The staff couldn't have been more attenitive. The Swan is also a Steakhouse that serves a 42oz Tomahawk Steak (on advance request) amongst other steak cuts off the menu. Although I haven't had a steak, I know I'll be back for a Tomahawk. Give it a go, you won't be sorry!

Lovely place food is very nice and the staff are very helpful and friendly I would recommend eating here. Only 1 little thing I was a bit cold, there were 2 log burners but we were not sat by them, it didn't spoil my night 👍

Waited by door to be greeted by member of staff for over 5 mins to be told I should of been there an hour ago!! Not correct! Clearly the member of staff taking the booking had incorrectly taken time . Waited 50 mins for food which was frankly quite Poor.Mixed grill looked lovely however steak was like a sandwich steak thin & burnt, chicken coated in something (would like to have been told of this). Steak & ale pie pastry was thick & unenjoyable. A number of staff didn't comply with covid rules of wearing face masks! Wasn't asked to fill track & trace.Needless to say We won't be returning!!!! Clearly they don't like Any Review that doesn't give them a 5star... We we arrived on time at 6.15..not 5.15 as was booked for us. I wouldn't have the cheek to arrive 1 hour late & expect my reservation to still be held. Also I totally get that some people are exempt from face coverings, but they shouldn't be out front serving with times as they are& wearing no lanyard !!!!! N

After a previously AMAZING meal delivered to us during lockdown we decided now restrictions had lifted and that the weather was nice we would travel from Connahs Quay to the pub. On arrival could tell it was quiet and plenty of tables, I entered the pub to see a photographer taking pictures of the food. However no staff to be seen. After around 10 minutes of being stood inside waiting to be greeted there was still no contact made. On proceeding back to the car I spotted 2 members of staff, too busy carrying/playing with dogs instead of being there to serve customers. Happily taken our service to Pen Y Bont in Mold instead who are always great!

Saw the date night advert on Facebook so made a booking We wanted the £55 steak deal so was going to spend a fair bit. Asked for the server to confirm what was gluten free so went to check with the chef. She came back and said he was in a bad mood and she couldn't get the information from him. I asked her to go back as we wanted to order but wanted to check on the chips and sauces as missus would be ill if got it wrong. Could hear shouting from the kitchen and when the girl came back and said sorry can't tell us as the chefs were arguing about an order they had lost.So after getting dressed up and travelling from Wrexham we had to leave Like something out of Fawlty Towers and it appeared the couple next too us were the ones who's order has been lost as they said they weren't going to wait any longer and asked for the bill Sort your chefs out as you will lose more business

Beautiful venue in the country. We'll worth the visit.. food is amazing. And they offer a home delivery service on Just eat. I did the disco at the venue, for a party. And was very welcomed.. lovely spacious pub. With an amazing garden part for outdoor eating/drinking

Lovely food. We were quietly having our meal, and then without warning about 10 people sat at 1 of the tables and the noise was excruciating. All the landlady said was they were having a get together. If thats the case they shouldnt have had any other people in. Because of this, even though the food was lovely i would never go there again. They need a bit more organisation

Called in on the way back from wrexham maelor hospital and we were greeted by very pleasant staff. Very accommodating and nothing was too much trouble. I have coeliac disease and required gluten free food. We ordered the meat meze to share and I was able to have onion rings and chicken goujons cooked in a separate gf fryer,which is good to know they have separate fryers for gf and vegetarian. The food was excellent, cooked to perfection and presented well. Would definitely recommend eating here and we will be going back. Very professional restaurant and staff. Can't wait to return, will be trying the Sunday carvery too.
