A small garden centre stocking popular plants of quality but not overly expensive. Bistro is truly outstanding with a varied menu from a chef who knows his stuff. The scones would take gold in any competition. Premises immaculate and service is courteous with a smile and a chat.

Went for a walk around Cannon Hall Gardens and after went into the Thyme Bistro for a coffee. As it was Sunday we decided to try the roast Sunday lunch and we were not disappointed. I ordered the slow cooked beef and my girlfriend had the roast turkey breast. It was honestly the best tasting beef I've ever had. You can tell instantly that it was freshly cooked and the taste of thyme really came through the meat and roast potatoes. We would highly recommend this bistro for the Sunday lunch. We will 100% be going back there to try their other meals (the pulled pork sandwiches looked amazing). All you could hear was people from other tables saying how amazing the meat was. Definitely 10/10.

Garden Centre is good but the restaurant is what we went for, Very nice food with quit a varied menu, prawn sandwich was well filled, too much for aged parents but doggie bags available from very helpful efficient and friendly staff. My lemon & herb baguette was very good We ate inside although there is outside seating. Unfortunately the outside area can suffer from a smelly stagnent pond/river which exit from the restaurant takes you past. This is a shame and means 4 stars rather than 5 from me.

We contacted Canon Hall Garden Centre and were lucky enough to speak with Kyle regarding the availability of a large olive tree to compliment our new gazebo area of the garden. His enthusiasm over the phone prompted us to visit the centre where we had the pleasure of his personal attention in deciding exactly what we needed. Two perfect trees were identified and delivered to us the following day. Kyles knowledge and much needed tips on the positioning of the trees and aftercare was invaluable. It’s a lovely place to visit, great quality products and the attention to detail by Kyle and his colleagues first class. Thanks again Kyle.

Lovely garden centre with really friendly, helpful and polite staff. The food is gorgeous especially the porridge and the full English breakfast! Clean with lots of space for a double pushchair (or wheelchair) and plenty of high chairs.

Excellent service from the very accommodating team. Enjoyed a lovely afternoon with my mum for her mother's day treat. It was extremely busy so we were warned there would be a bit of a wait, but it was much quicker than we expected and we'll worth the wait and sensibly priced too. Clean and pleasant surroundings, facilities were also very clean. Accessibility is excellent too, with appropriate parking and everything on one level. Thank you for a lovely afternoon.

Visited Thyme Bistro 29th December. It was extremely busy, but the management of the Bistro was magnificent. Table found within 5 minutes, within 5 minutes of placing order we had tea deivered, and 5 minutes later received excellent bacon and sausage granary teacakes. All the food and drink was superb and the service was friendly and efficient. Highly recommended!

Great selection of plants and gardening tools and accessories, they also sell a range of high-end country clothing. The cafe has a great outdoor section which you can take your dog in to. Will be going again in spring.

Came fir a breakfast with family at the terrace side of the restaurant on a cold winter morning and was most pleasantly surprised by a warm welcome by a lady called Elvyra who took our orders and made us feel very welcome. The food came very quickly, I ordered Eggs Royal and a cappuccino, and it was absolutely delicious. Will definitely be back again!

Nice place just too expensive. Looked at going on to the boats said 10 pound maximum but for two people only add 2 more and a kid that's 24 quid. 2.50 for a small ice cream

Extremely well organised lay of the farm attractions. It is obvious all the animals are well cared for and look happy in their environments. Superb indoor and outdoor play areas including a pipe maze our 4 and 6 year old grandchildren loved. There is so much for the family to do a day is not enough. We will definitely be back. Big thank you for your hard work making such a safe and happy environment to share your your wonderful farm with the public.

We had lunch here and it was excellent. There is a wide choice in the garden plants and shrubs area. Also the garden requisites are substantial. There is an outdoor snacks area as well and l think meals can be ordered from the Thyme restaurant.

Excellent food, quality ingredients perfectly cooked and presented and absolutely delicious. Also good, friendly service and no problem with special requests for friend's dietary needs. Definitely somewhere to go back to over and over again. Wish I lived closer.

Not much animals in the park. Couldn't purchase food for the animals. Nice food and good play area for younger children. The park is good also. Lovely walk around the river, perfect for a picnic on mice days.

First time visited cannot believe this hidden gem really a lovely place to visit. Loved the catwalk exhibition. Loved the museum. The grounds were wonderful and all of the staff really pleasant and all free of charge. This is certainly worth a visit and like my husband and I once you have been you will wish to return regularly. Excellent day out.

Cannon Hall is my favourite local beauty spot for lovely walks. It is a bonus having a dog friendly cafe in the garden centre that serves delicious cakes and coffees. The garden centre is set out well has quality products and plants but it is expensive.

Twice now we've had terrible customer service here. Once I would forgive but not twice. The first time we had walked around the garden centre with the dog, paid for our plants and went to go into the cafe and was SHOUTED at by a woman. She wanted us to walk all way round the garden centre to get to the patio which was 2metres away. There was no sign that said no dogs in that 2 metre stretch between the shop and the patio. Just a screaming banshee guarding the way, apparently. Today I had my toddler on foot and my baby strapped to me, toddler wanted some ice cream and again, I was told I could not order ice cream in the cafe, I had to walk the toddler all the way round the garden centre. How ridiculous. Get your act together 🙄

I went to the garden centre cafe for my mums birthday and we had afternoon tea. I won’t go back for afternoon tea. The staff were lovely, but that for me wasn’t afternoon tea. There was very little and you had no choice you had to have 1/2 scone with jam and cream already on the scone and the sandwiches you got what was given. This was £12.95 WOW! Disappointing but nice clean place. You need a code for toilets but they were clean.

Lovely place. It has some lovely scenic walking routes, nice cafe and farm shop, slightly expensive but OK. 👍

Has a good range of plant and equipment, big focus on outdoor entertaining. We went to view summerhouses as they're a stockist for a brand we found online but we were disappointed with what was available to view and there was no information on how to purchase. Please note you have to pay for parking but it's refunded if you spend over a certain amount.

Walked around the grounds of Cannon Hall, lovely place full of hidden gems. The museum there was interesting as well.

Stopped at the cafe to meet up with family. Ordered afternoon tea, which turned out to be quite comprehensive. Very full after eating it. Could easily share between 2.

Amazingly nice and picturesque location, ideal for a picnic or a doggie walk. The grounds are very clean and well maintained, lots of rubbish bins, and lots and lots of open spaces for your dog to roam around in.

Cannon Hall is a lovely place to visit with all the family. We had a fantastic time at the doggy cafe, I thought the frozen yoghurt was on the expensive side, but as long as our puppy enjoyed it, then the price doesn't matter to me. The farm shop has an excellent range of meats, etc, again a little on the expensive side, but on the other hand, you get quality...!

Quite busy when we went. Food nicely presented, and very friendly staff. Sat in the extra space near the outside dining, staff in and out the door carrying all sorts of thing meant it was a tad drafty in there. Reasonable prices too.

Lovely garden centre with really healthy plants. Great selection of all things gardening (tools, pots, fertiliser etc). Also has a lovely large cafe and clothes and gifts section. I always enjoy visiting here.

50/50 experience with this place. Food is always lovely, no matter what we have ordered it’s been lovely. However, the service is always a gamble. Sometimes you will get great service and others you’ll be met with sour faces and couldn’t care less attitudes. I can appreciate this is down to the person and not the place but it is disappointing when you’re wanting a nice afternoon out.
