We read the reviews and decided to give it a go, we sat up top and didn't have to wait long before we went on our half hour journey up the Dee, the staff are friendly and the information given during the trip is excellent, a bit of history and a bit of natural interest too, it was over all too quickly but there is the option of a longer cruise available too, would definitely recommend when visiting Chester.

We had a great relaxing time on the river Dee. Some beautiful buildings and scenery along the way. We did the city bus tour and purchased a dual ticket for both the bus tour and the boat trip.

Lovely cruise with great scenery and interesting commentary. Refreshments and toilets available on the boat. Friendly staff. Only negative thing about the whole cruise was the fact that we queued early so were at the front of the queue as we wanted to make sure we got a seat on the top level of the boat. Was disappointing as they prioritise groups and people with pre booked tickets, who were all allowed on before us despite being way back in the queue. Suffice to say we didn't get to sit on the upper level!

The half hour boat trip is a good way to see part of Chester you won't see on foot. Very enjoyable. The staff were friendly. The narrative was very informative. A must for tourists and during busy season would recommend booking. It was a quiet day out of season when we went. Would recommend.

We purchased the combined Hop-On, Hop-off Bus and half hour river Cruise Ticket and I am so glad we did. The bus tour is amazing. Takes you right round the whole of Chester Centre pointing out points of interest. We decided to do the whole tour and then do the half hour river trip. We then hopped back on the bus to view the sites we wanted to see. My only "issue" was the commentary on the boat was very quiet but it just means I'll have to come back to Chester and do it all again, so I am not complaining!

Took the 30 minute trip along the Dean on the Lady Diana. Get to see some lovely houses, the Iron Bridge, wildlife and countryside, all the time with recorded commantary. If booked with Sightseeing buses can get discount of £4 per adult. Worth it on a nice day

We booked online and saved £1 a person. A great 30 minute cruise up and down the River Dee. Some fantastic houses on the River Bank. Well worth the trip, nice way to see something away from the hustle of the town centre. Excellent hosts on the boat as well.

Great trip up the River Dee ... Relaxing and very informative with a great commentary most of the way. Lovely houses on the way and great stately homes and estates too. Boat has a cafe and bar and the team onboard are friendly and helpful. Toilet on board too. Easy to book online or at the dock side.

We booked through Chester tourist information service. A lovely cruise along the river Dee for half an hour, and was only £7.50 for adults. Boat crew really nice and friendly. They also hire out their boats for parties and things. Highly recommended.

Fantastic cruise, steward went above and beyond to help us. It started raining once we were on board. He covered our mobility scooter with black bags on the pontoon which was such a thoughtful gesture. He was very attentive to all passengers. 5 stars to the steward. Would have scored 5 stars for the overall visit, if we hadn't had the misfortune of not hearing the commentary due to a large group of boisterous passengers. Intend to visit Chester again and will endeavour to book an earlier cruise

30 min ride, interesting historical recording. Reasonable prices £8.50 each. Boats every 30 mins, and pub near to grab a coffee etc. Friday. Family and pensioners reduced ticket price.

Nice 30 minute trip. Informative and ran well. Paid online whilst waiting for the next sail made the ticket price slightly cheaper.

Took our grandchildren on the Santa cruise yesterday (03.12.23) and would highly recommend it. Santa dropped in with gifts for the children and a lovely festive atmosphere was helped along by his elves. There was plenty to entertain the children throughout and merriment was definitely the order of the day. All in all a thoroughly enjoyable time for everyone, so thank you for all the effort that obviously went into the cruise. We’ll definitely be back.

A great 30 minute trip. The commentary is fantastic. A beautiful river.

Nice and relaxing. Could do with a bit more padding on the seats and less commentary but thoroughly enjoyable.

We did the 30min cruise. Good value for money, was the right length with children. Paid on the boat, not really essential to pre-book.

The 30 minute trip is relaxing and very pleasant. There is a commentary of the history of the activities in and around the river which is informative but not intrusive. The staff are very friendly, my only regret is not being able to do the 2 hour journey that was fully booked when we visited Chester.

The half hour cruise up river is a very pleasant experience. On the left there are a variety of dwellings and public houses whilst on the right in contrast, there are large open, grassy areas. The commentary is informative. The vessel was clean and we felt in safe hands.

We had a fantastic hen party on Chesterboat, it was 70s/80s music, 7.30pm - 10.30pm. The crew were brilliant, especially (Danny? the captain). Great atmosphere, really fun. Welcome drinks were nice. The only thing I would recommend was a bit more food on the buffet but otherwise it was perfect. Thank you for making my hen party so special.

Lovely 30 minute boat tour to go on with the family. They also do 2 hour tours a couple of times a day (time specific). Definitely recommend seeing chester and all it's glory from the river.

Have you ever considered arriving at your wedding venue by boat?! This beautiful couple booked the Lady Diana to transport them and their guests to Eccleston Village Hall and it was such an amazing experience. The boat is gorgeous, the staff were wonderful and the journey was perfect. Something a little bit unique!
