The
stay
was
clean
and
comfortable.
The
problem
we
did
come
into
was
the
way
a
complaint
against
our
group
was
handled
by
Merlins.
When
we
sat
down
for
breakfast
on
the
Saturday
morning
the
lady
serving
shouted
at
us
in
front
of
all
the
other
groups
that
were
staying
at
Merlins
that
we
were
far
too
loud
Friday
night
once
we
had
gone
upstairs
to
the
room
and
we
must
be
quiet
Saturday
night.
She
then
went
on
to
repeat
this
several
times
before
telling
us
we
will
have
to
wait
for
breakfast
as
she
has
other
tables
to
serve.
Despite
over
half
of
our
group
sitting
down
at
our
allocated
time.
It
was
quite
shocking
to
experience
and
something
I
haven't
had
to
endure
since
leaving
school
about
16
years
ago.
We
had
our
breakfast
and
afterwards
we
were
asked
for
the
deposit
for
the
room.
When
giving
the
same
lady
the
deposit
I
bought
it
up
with
her
that
whilst
I
appreciate
complaints
must
be
dealt
with,
there
is
a
manor
in
which
complaints
should
be
handled
and
being
shouted
at
in
front
of
everyone
is
not
acceptable.
Instead
of
a
professional
response
I
was
met
with
a
barrage
of
reasons
as
to
why
it
was
acceptable
to
shout
at
us
at
breakfast.
When
the
further
humiliation
ended
I
turned
around
to
pick
my
bag
up
to
leave
for
caving
only
to
hear
her
say
to
her
colleague
that
"we
don't
have
to
stay
there
if
we
don't
want
too".
We
made
sure
to
spend
our
money
behind
the
bar
across
the
road
after
caving
instead
of
at
Merlins.
On
Friday
night
we
stayed
in
the
bar
until
it
closed
at
midnight.
Went
upstairs
and
4
of
us
chatted
until
around
01:15-01:30.
We
were
told
twice
to
be
quiet
by
the
person
that
was
sat
in
the
corridor
outside
our
room.
The
rest
of
our
group
went
to
sleep
in
the
same
room
we
were
chatting
in.
We
appreciate
the
other
groups
that
were
there
were
slightly
older
and
a
lot
more
docile
than
our
group
but
there
must
be
some
leniency
towards
that
fact
that
it
is
a
hostel
and
there
will
be
noise
made
by
large
groups
of
friends
especially
after
drinking.
