Very pleased with my purchases. Excellent quality one-off pieces. The bracelet needed resizing and an Albert adding but the work was done quickly and I am very pleased with it. Staff are friendly and informative. I highly recommend Brown's especially if you want something a bit different.

What a fabulous jewellers this is. Outstanding customer service, nothing was too much trouble. The three members of staff are super knowledgeable and clearly love what they do. I never felt rushed to make a decision and found the whole experience to be friendly, professional and sincere. Will definitely return.

Dealt with the Harrogate branch on a number of occasions. This past 3 weeks the service has been outstanding to my wife and I. Sourcing a special order and at the same time dealing with her valuable repairs, All dealt with very professionally and consistent. Saturday 10/11/18 we went into Harrogate to collect my wife’s diamond necklace, we were greeted with a wonderful personal service as the lady recognised us immediately and addressed my wife and I personally as she collected the diamond necklace to show us. She quickly reappeared with the wonderful diamond pendant that my wife had chosen a couple of weeks earlier, this had been adjusted by the chain. My wife tried it on but was still slightly concerned about the length of the chain, as she wanted a variation of lengths to wear with different things. Both ladies couldn’t have been more accommodating, both assisting my wife in choosing the correct length to have, the lady serving us phoned the workshop directly, asking if an alteration would be possible that day, we were amazed at such fantastic service! True to her word she disappeared off to the workshop, my wife and I then received a phone call confirming that the necklace would be ready for us that day. We returned later in the afternoon to collect it, again both ladies were rushed off their feet! The shop had an ecstatic buzz, customers were enjoying themselves, both ladies looked so professional whilst they were busy serving, then as it was our turn to be served one of the ladies had to pop her coat on and “run” to the workshop to collect my wife’s necklace. The lady returned and again both ladies gave my wife their undivided attention, making sure that the diamond pendant was positioned correctly and that the chain length was correct with the adjustable section. Throughout our visits into the shop on Saturday, the shop was continually full of customers, but we were made to feel like the only ones there. Such professionalism and personal customer care were given to me and my wife. She is thrilled with her necklace. We both commented on what a wonderful service we had received. So thank you ladies you will be highly recommended. And we hope that you managed to get a cup of tea.

Friendly staff, however quoted £25 to replace a clasp on a necklace, 1 week wait time. £3.50 at Nottingham jewellers in Knaresborough waiting time 3 minutes.....

Bought an engagement ring for my wife-to-be. The whole process from ring sizing to the delivery was flawless. Charlotte was extremely helpful with the whole process answering any Q's I had promptly. I cannot recommend Browns enough!

Me and my wife to be popped in on our way back to Gloucestershire from West Scotland to purchase an engagement ring. The staff were absolutely fantastic and enthusiastic with us. They showed us different styles, different bands and more importantly how the engagement ring would sit with a wedding ring when the time comes. At no point did we feel pressured and was glad that these experienced professionals helped us along the way. I truly could not fault the service from these fantastic people and wish they were a lot closer to home as I would have no hesitation using them again. May a trip back to Yorkshire to get the wedding rings? P.S we did get home for Strictly!

Fabulous service in Harrogate. Dealt with a repair on my very sentimental bracelet. Excellent service, the lady took it personally to the repair workshop and explained the repair that was needed and to use the original materials only, due to the sentiment of the item. The two ladies and gent in the Harrogate branch are extremely professional and the customer service that is given is outstanding.

Lovely little shop! Nothing is to much trouble for the lovely team called in on Saturday and was very busy but I was made to feel like the only one in the store by the young man! The lady was also serving another couple but was very smiley and polite! We be back and won’t hessitate to recommend to my friends and family

We have bought several items of jewellery from them over the years. The after care service is brilliant, just before my wedding they cleaned my engagement ring and even diamond earrings! I will back again and only buy my jewellery from Browns of Harrogate!

I have always purchased my special pieces of jewellery from browns. I feel the service and quality of the pieces are excellent. I purchased our wedding rings today and felt obliged to leave a review. Craig and Jane were very helpful and friendly as always. They had arranged for both our rings to be altered and sent to my home address as it’s only a few weeks until our big day. I thought this was a very kind touch and saves me a journey to collect them. I always find that they can’t do enough for you. They really go above and beyond and I wouldn’t purchase jewellery from anywhere else. Thank you once again . X

Just thought that we would take a look at the reviews this evening due to a very mixed service recently. (Although today was great), finished off with an invitation to revisit when we are ready to purchase our wedding rings. Which we both thought was an excellent personal touch. We have been to the Harrogate branch a number of times over recent months, in search of an engagement ring, and all we can say is that it really does depend on who you get. The lady whom we think is the manager conducts herself with the utmost professionalism, and spends time listening to your requirements and her knowledge is outstanding, she is a credit to your business ( or her business if she is the owner ). We have also previously spoken with the chap, who again is extremely knowledgeable and such a pleasant character and a delight to deal with, where nothing seems to much trouble. Then it really does depend who you get! We have had a positive experience today, with an enthusiastic lady, whom we could tell is passionate about her role, she gave my very shy fiancé the confidence to try on different rings, eventually deciding on the one, and where the atmosphere in the shop was enjoyable and happy. We were thanked for choosing your shop for such a memorable occasion, and as mentioned previously she invited us back when we are ready to purchase our wedding rings. This personal touch pleased us both. But then unfortunately we have previously also experienced a different member of staff, where the atmosphere in the shop is completely different, everything seems to much trouble, and she gives the impression that she really doesn't want to be there, and is unhappy in her role, Which is unpleasant and uncomfortable. Customer service is given but with a degree of attitude, which seems incorrect for a shop that should give a happy memorable experience. Hence the 2 star review taking into account these previous visits, otherwise it would in no doubt be 5 stars. Sorry to leave it on a bit of a negative, but after reading the other reviews we felt it appropriate to leave our experience and opinion to.

popped in to look at a Sapphire and diamond ring (think you would call it a eternity ring) i must say the service given By Craig (name on the receipt) was fantastic i had an idea of what i wanted and he wouldn't rest till he found something i loved! please pass on my thanks to him! good old old fashioned customer service at its best! i will see you in the new year

We are very happy with our visit to the Harrogate shop yesterday, We went in to look at engagement rings, my fiance chose 4 rings to look at, but she was feeling very unsure. We continued chatting to the lady that was serving us, (Jane) who reappeared with 2 more rings. Slightly above our budget, but my fiance fell instantly in love with one of them, somehow Jane knew exactly what type of ring my fiance would like. We will be back next week to collect the ring once it has been resized. Jane is clearly one of your more experienced members of staff, but we just wanted to acknowledge the high quality of service, we will recommend your shop to all of our family and friends.

Called in today to get 2 watch straps for my and my wife’s watches.i was shown a good selection by Julie? The name on the receipt .she had them ready in 30 minutes as promised at a very reasonable price. Very pleasant, professional service.
