We're a foreign Filipino Worker that who only wants to have fun and unwind to spend weekend together with my friends in this beautiful beach. Were so Satisfied in this beach's views But, we're so very disappointed with the manners of the caretakers on this beach. This will be the Worst Experience and the most unforgettable moments we ever had.If they give us notice in the first place that we can't stand a tent there we will be get informed immediately but they didn't we're so disappointed of what they did to us in the middle of the night they called a police to put down our tent even it's raining and they kill our joy. They don't have conscience to see us suffering with rains is that a discrimination?I HOPE IT'S NOT.OR I think they just want to rent a tent so they will get money from us.Its cost 350 NT.Even those people in tent rent area is not get money from us.But the other store like ice cream shop and ice store is get more sales on us.This will be our last visit in this place we're not going in this place anymore.PERIOD!

Made the trip from Taipei to Baishawan on a nice sunny day. Altogether it takes more than two hours from central Taipei, and I'm not sure it's worth it. The beach is OK - the sand is very fine and seems to get everywhere (of course to be expected with sand!). However there was a lot of trash on the beach, which was a shame. The day we went it wasn't very busy. After going into the water up to our waists, a lifeguard rode over on a beach car and told us not to go as deep as that, as the water is dangerous. Actually, the waves are pretty strong and you can feel currents underneath, so definitely a good idea to be cautious. I think if the beach were 30 minutes away, it's be worth it. But not worth a two hour plus journey!

(Translated by Google) From Tamsui take the direction bus to Bhawan (what number, I forgot) for about 45 minutes, walk for a while, we can already see the shops lined up that sell clothes and rent beach equipment. Beautiful open sea makes time and feel at home linger here. Hahaha...

I found this beach extremely dangerous. But not the water, the lifeguards. I see lifeguards speeding on 4 wheelers at very high speeds through crowds coming very close to children and people laying on the beach just to blow whistles at people in knee deep water. It’s actually very crazy. I’ve never done a negative post on google before in my life. But honestly I have to say this beach is just not a place to relax by the ocean. I’ve personally almost had my foot ran over last weekend. I yelled for him to slow down and I’m sure the lifeguard wanted to fight. Taiwan is a great place to live and work. But for tourism and going for a relaxing beach day. Do yourself a favor. Pay the $2000-$3000 nt for a flight and go to one of the many other countries that have figured out the value of a tourist dollar. If you want to sit on the beach on a very hot day and not be allowed to swim in calm ocean water without having hired gangsters yell and threaten you. And, if you don’t mind your children being run over by these gangster lifeguards going high speeds through a packed beach. Then this is the place for you.

This is one of the most beautiful beaches in the north, but before enjoying here, you must pay attention to some of the following White tents are not free, you need to rent a carpet for use it.So you better prepare your own carpet or tents. Surf 🏄 is available, prepare yourself before you coming. Carpark and toilet is available

Great beach. However swimming not allowed as lifeguards will stop anyone going deeper than knee deep water.

Super chill beach here , not so many people on weekday. Bring your beer and play some music, enjoy sunlight with your friends , laugh. Life should be like this :)

Only other great Beach beside Fulong, although smaller is closer from parking and plenty of shops to rent umbrella or sea blow up toys or get beer. If you like more natural drive inside to the end there is parking lot with fee but you can change it their shop for drink etc. This part more Rocky and more natural ....that area great for some hiking when it's not too hot.

For surfers, you can rent a surfing board there for 500NT and you can use it until they close. There is a big parking lot but usually gets crowded after 3pm on weekends, so try to reach early to find parking space. They have restrooms for free except bathrooms where you will be charged 20~40NT dollars for both cold and warm showers.

There is a visitor's center with very clean toilets. There's a couple places around that offer showers, 20 NTD for cold showers. The best amenity is renting a tent for 350 NTD for the entire day and it comes with a straw mat! However, food options are rather limited, there are vending machines for drinks and also a few stalls that sell the same simple foods (noodles, sausage...) and drinks. The beach was clean when I visited and not too crowded on a sunny weekday in mid-august. The tide varies quite a lot during the afternoon.

Baishawan, or 'White Sand Beach', is one of the most beautiful beaches in Taiwan that I have seen. At some parts, the waves crash and is fun to ride on, but at some parts, it's gentle enough to go sit inside and just soak while watching the sunset. The water is also very clear, and I find quite clean.

There is a nice hiking area near the beach. Very nice view, especially if it is a moonlight night.

Not many beach options around, and Taiwan doesn’t excel in the beach realm. Really dirty, garbage strewn beach. It’s pretty, if you ignore the tons of trash around, covering everything.

Nice beach. Can be a bit crowded but otherwise worth a visit. This is one of the northernmost beaches in Taiwan. Waves are nice and there were a lot of surfers and paddle boarders. The sand is grainy and water a bit cold.

Clean and very safe. Lifeguards during the daytime in summer so you can swim. There is a cafe but few other amenities nearby. The west end of the beach is the “gay” section.

😠 Aparently somebody drowned once. So authorities had nothing better to do than closing the beach for everyone. Instead of education how to behave at the sea it's only paternalism like on many other locations.

👍 It’s a beautiful seaside view along the north coast . Take a rest and deep breath the ocean wind. Sometimes you can see black kite(eagles) surfing in the Sky. There are 2 geographic remarks addressed here. Take a look to the explanation and you can recognize them well.
